Possibly found a new favourite place for comfort food in London. The pies are so tasty, fantastic crust and really great mash coming with it too. Good beers on the menu, and helpful and friendly staff as well. Decent options for vegans and vegetarians as well. The menu is perfectly planned out to have a vegan pie experience. Highly recommend this place.
Loved the concept of choosing my own pie/sausage, mash & gravy combo. So many options & for a really reasonable price, especially in the heart of London. Service was great! Staff so friendly and helpful. Super cute. Gave me school dinner vibes, in a really lovely way.
The food is quite tasty and the staff was very nice. We were asked many times if we needed anything and overall they were very attentive. The place was a bit smelly but I suppose that’s just how it is and we got an unlucky day… In general I would recommend it as the pies were outstanding. The prices for drinks were also slightly high. This doesn’t take away from the experience though. All in all quite nice and pleasant comfort food. I would go again and I would recommend it. Especially tourist friendly, more so than an average pub in Covent Garden.
A great little affordable restaurant in the heart of the tourist district. If you want unpretentious British food this is the place to go. Also lots of options for veggies. I went with pie & mash but will definitely be back to try the veggie sausages. Highly recommend
Really hearty meal. I love how you can customize your dish by choosing your choice of mash, protein (pie / banger) and sauce. There was a good array of sides too, just to make sure you’ve got that balanced meal with greens. Portions are quite huge and extremely filling, otherwise we’d have given the desserts a try. The staff was really friendly as well.
I just learned that chicken pie is a super classic and amazing British cuisine. So I came here and I love their chicken and mushroom pie. Highly recommend.
Very reasonably priced Mash. Comes in combination of Mash + Pie/Sausage.
They mixed my order up (cheesy mustard instead of cheese) but it still tasted good. Went for the traditional minced meat, but shall go for the steak next time.
Beer tasted a little flat, but they’re no pub so I suppose that’s reasonable.
Staff were passionate with their service and waitress was exceptionally service oriented. They greeted guests and you could tell regulars were returning.
Reservations are possible so do consider booking in advance.
Excellent pies, with a choice of styles of mash, gravy and pie content. Staff are super friendly and will help you pick, but a good starting point is the traditional.
Definitely a meal to try if you're in the Covent Garden area!
The food was delicious, you have a bit of everything and for every taste (meat, vegetarian, vegan…). You basically made your own plate. Our waiter was super nice and the atmosphere was great too.
Great little place for a lunch or dinner especially when you want to try out some Brittish classics as a tourist, but really, for everyone. Perfect and simple menu with choices of different mash, classic sausages or pies, and delicious gravy: make your own favourite combo! Lots of drinks and side dishes were also avalaible. The portion was not too big but also not too expensive and more importantly, very tasty, so perfect to try out a dessert. Amazed by the delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding: absolutely recommend this one! Something went wrong with our reservation, so we had to wait a while for our table, but the staff made up for it with a free round of drinks and non-stop first class friendly service afterwards. Thank you!
