We were lucky enough to secure a reservation at a restaurant serving traditional Indian cuisine during our stay in London. Despite being located in the busy area of Soho, the restaurant provides a serene and cozy atmosphere that feels like a small oasis amid the hustle and bustle.
The restaurant ha
Food for excellent and their service was impeccable. Highly recommend the lamb and prawn toast. They have a great selection of drinks and cocktails as well. Better than Dishoom!
This is my third Gunpowder location and once again, it was a great experience. The service is always impeccable and tonight was no exception. We were sat at the back of the restaurant where walls are covered with red velvet curtains. I am already intrigued. I posted a pic of the menu. We had the cra
Insanely brilliant food!!
The ambience is a bit dark and old especially in the seating area inside.
But the food is so worth it! I think we ordered almost everything in the menu! The starters - prawn toast, the aloo chaat, soft shell crab, beef, lamb etc all were perfect! The egg masala was very go

Great Indian food, not the traditional curry but well balanced dishes. The mixed grill with chicken, shrimps and broccoli was an explosion of flavour.
Gunpowder is a spice that is different from other spices as it is often consumed as a condiment by itself. Gunpowder aims to bring that same gastronomical experimentation to Indian cuisine and serve it in a quaint, no frills eatery in Soho. In a classification of Indian eateries in London in a 2*2*2
INCREDIBLE FOOD!
Traditional flavours from India, my friends still shock for the quality of the food. I’m not exaggerating when I say the balance between spicy and flavour was absolutely perfect in this restaurant. Every plate allows you to enjoy the spice while you can still taste the chicken and
Celebrated our son’s graduation, Super delicious food. They were very kind to bring a brownie with icecream with a candlelight for our son. 5 stars
Went for a light lunch before it got busy at 11:30am.

I also got the chicken tandoori chop and that was the perfect snack for lunc
Some of the best Indian food I've had. Here's a life tip. Make a reservation here and skip the queue at that other spot down the street
Best Indian restaurant we have been to, hands down. The food was to die for and the service we received from Agnelo was simply outstanding! Cannot wait to get the chance to come back to London so we can dine here again. Thank you for everything!
First of all! The decor is alright. The seating was great! Nice and comfortable.
The man and woman who served up were very polite and welcoming.
Parking is terrible as per usual in London. But not the restaurants fault...
Now for the food....
Everything was cooked to an artistic perfection, Tasted
Some of the tastiest Indian food you'll get in London. Genuinely everything tasted fantastic, seasoned to perfection and arrived quickly. Our server was really helpful and friendly. Prices are what you expect in the area, to be honest our bill was slightly cheaper than I thought it would be. If you'
Had such a great meal at Gunpowder Soho! Every dish was on point on flavour, texture and portion, good service was a plus! Highlights were the Prawn toast and soft shell crab. We even got a lovely brownie for our anniversary celebration!
Some outstanding and very flavoursome food, specifically the dishes that come more from the Southern parts of India with its deep and intense flavours and great range of heat/spice. The best dishes were the Goan style prawns (which are finger licking good), the soft shell crab and the beef pepper fr
