Interesting and flavorful Filipino food - a lot of stuff I'd never tried and many memorable dishes. The deep fried, rice-stuffed pig's trotter is a must order. Mains were relatively less exciting, but overall a very nice meal and well worth a visit if only to try so many new dishes you may be unfamiliar with.
I'm happy I got invited by a great friend who promised I was going to have a great Philippines Culinary experience in the centre of London.
You're guided to your table by a very confident member of staff, asked if you want to have a sparkling bubbly complimentary drink but I settled for an interesting lemonade.
It's a set menu and I was asked if I had any allergies and regrettably I had to miss out on the Shrimp š¦ š¤ but they did offer me a discount.
Every dish that landed in front of us was beautifully explained by the same confident you g lady. It was photographed and consumed with the utmost pleasure.
I hope you enjoy the menu as well as the pictures I took. This is not to be missed especially if you enjoy Pork.
The service is beautiful and the aroma is mesmerising and made us think if every ingredient used.
By far one of the best culinary experiences I had in London
I was blown away by the food here. This had been one of the stand out meals Iāve had all year, especially considering the price. Every single dish was packed with flavour and intricately prepared. I especially love the deep fried trotter and the carrot starter.
On top of this, it had a laid back but sophisticated vibe and very friendly staff. Whatās not to like?
Since my visit, I have been singing praises for this restaurant to friends and Iām already planning my next visit. Watch this space for more photos!
Wow, one of the best meals I've had in London! All the Filipino classics I remember eating at childhood friends' homes, refined and bursting with bright flavors. Such excellent use of calamansi for acidity and citrus in the dishes, perfectly balanced herbs, and excellent cookery of quality ingredients. Absolutely loved the kinilaw, duck breast, and cassava tart. Not to mention an excellent value for the lunch set menu. Can't wait to come back!
An excellent ode to Filipino cuisine (with a twist). We would recommend the following dishes: pork trotter stuffed with adobo rice, Java rice, aubergine, chicken main the accompanying sauces were delicious, I could drink them. I also had the calamansi daiquiri which was well balanced. The standout dish was the chicken skins and pork trotter. The desserts were heavenly, so keep some room to try them both. The service was attentive and friendly. The bathroom could do with some improvements, a cleaner aesthetic would be better. Total cost of food and alcoholic drinks for two were approx Ā£130. Sadly as a pop up venue Sarap will soon move, so hurry and try them before theyāre gone!
Interesting dinner experience at Sarap Filipino bistro. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff that gave us good advice. My highlights were the scallops and the chicken (sauce was delicious). I wasn't so impressed by the signature pig trotter or the peanut celeriac dish but still fun to try something different. Do order the side potatoes cooked in butter!
The menu is very exciting but some dishes tasted a lot better than others.
We started with pickles, the scallop, oysters (special of the day) and fried chicken skin, all pretty delicious, especially the scallop!
We then had the bistek tartare and the rellenong crispy pata, fried pig trotter stuffed with adobo rice. These were both a bit disappointing. The tartare was quite bland. The pig trotter was hard and chewy and the rice stuffing was incredibly mushy, to the point I wouldnāt have been able to tell it was rice if I didnāt know. Not sure if thatās what it was supposed to be like, but didnāt love it either way.
We then had the grilled monkfish and the celeriac kare kare. Both very nice, the monkfish sauce was delicious. The kare kare was less exciting as most elements were also pretty mushy, but the flavour was nice.
Desserts were possibly the best bit. The burnt cassava cheesecake was excellent, great texture and flavour. My partner had the suman, glutinous rice with coconut caramel, and was ecstatic too.
Drinks: we started with a negroni and a peach picantƩ, both great, then had a bottle of picpoul de pinet. The wine list is a bit overpriced for the offering.

My taste buds haven't been this excited in a while in London. Sarap was DELICIOUS! The pig trotter was crispy on the outside and the rice was so flavourful. The steak was brilliant but what topped it off was the sauce. We ordered the braised kale as a side to our steak but maybe it was a bit too overpowering in flavour for the steak. I would order that before the steak. The cassava cheesecake for dessert was mindblowing and I was surprised by my favourite pandan oil on whipped cream on the side of the cake. I fully expected the cheesecake to be dense, heavy, milky, and sickening, but it was not the case at Sarap!!!! It was like eating a delicious refreshing coconut mochi cake. I ordered the calamansi cocktail as well which was punchy and appetising. I cannot give enough praise to the food AND to the waiters as well. The waiters really made the experience. They were so fun and engaging and really sold the dishes. We can't wait for Sarap to be the hottest restaurant around Regent Street!
Great food, great atmosphere and I really like the open kitchen. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
Had an awesome lunch there, the food was amazing, very good service and the decoration is really nice
Modern filipino food served in a stylish environment. Well done Chef on your "authentically inauthentic" cuisine.
Visited Sarap with my boyfriend earlier today. It was a great place with great food and very friendly staff. Highly recommend for people who would like to have an amazing time for a date night or friends gathering. Every dish we tried was great. And special thanks to Sarap for a jasmine tea which is a big trouble to get elsewhere!
Food is great!
Quite pricey, especially when there's a "discretionary" (but automatically added) tip. Please remove this practice, especially when Filipinos are literally top in least confrontational culture. Happy to pay to support a Filipino restaurant but this shouldn't stick.
I really enjoyed the food, please continue to flourish!
It lives up to the translation of its name, ādeliciousā! Innovative food rooted in Filipino principles. The celeriac is to die for, so is the poussin. Need to go back and try the other mains. Good wine list and friendly knowledgeable service. A gem.
Amazing food, beautiful space and very friendly staff. For sure coming back!
Budgies food is good and so full of flavours . Even as vegetarian I had plentiful options .
I'm not sure why Filipinos don't like this place. I'm a Filipino living in London and I love Sarap. The dishes captured the flavours I miss from home with an added twist to classics. Would very much recommend for those looking for a taste a home and those looking to try the cuisine!
