Everything at Silver Lining is going to be good because the ingredients are so fresh. I love the changing menu and just look how everything is presented! The vibe is romantic but laidback. Really cosy spot for some wine and delicious food!

There are many places in this part of east London that offer small plates, a well thought out the wine list and a decent vibe. What sets Silver Lining apart? For one, the wine list is several paces beyond most. The secret ingredient? The warm, welcoming and infinitely knowledgeable staff. The torched mackerel was special, the eel was right and smokey and the black cherry curd was insane. DM me the recipe. Also, did I mention, the wine? Go, eat and drink it all. You will thank me.

Outstanding selection of natural wines - with the wonderful staff that has the knowledge to go with these delicious beverages. I have the most wonderful experience every time I am here. It is definitely the spot to start your orange wine journey as well as refining your taste buds. I highly recommend coming here on Wednesdays if you wanna try one of their orange wine recommendations. P.s the snacks are to die for , especially if you’re into cheese

Small restaurant in an unassuming location near hackney central - but it really lives up to its good reviews. Service was very warm and informative, and the menu is small (in a good way) so you get the chance to try most things. Two highlights were the salmon sashimi and the pork belly, interesting and new combinations that I would go back for. For the less adventurous the curry and chips are really very tasty !

Amazing little place - food is beyond this world. Great flavour combinations without it becoming too weird. 'Just right' flavours, great hostess/waitress. Simply wonderful.

We had a lovely time nibbling on their beautifully presented small plates. Loved the salmon sashimi and steak! Creme brûlée was also yum, even for a non-lover of white chocolate. Impeccable service, just a bit chilly by the front door.

Stopped by for a quick glass of wine and ended having more as we were so wowed by the friendliness and expertise of the staff, and how lovely the wine was. We ended trying a few of the wines and even bought a bottle for a dinner party would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for good, different wines

The same chef cooks every dish at this microscopic Hackney eatery, combining comfort food like chips in curry sauce with more creative fare such as salsify with samphire and an almond biscuit, or a fantastic dish of cauliflower, candied pear and homemade fresh cheese. Attentive, warm service and a carafe of very dry rosé pretty good value at 16 pounds. Seasoning a touch on the heavy side. Overall, great cooking at an extremely fair price for the standards of the food.
