Had a great meal in Alter after work. The place was a little tricky to find but it was very nicely designed inside once we were in.

I didn't have much expectation coming here but I was pleasantly surprised as a non vegan. We came for lunch and between the two of us, we shared the charred cabbage curry (really good flavour), xian style knife cut noodles (good kick and flavour) and the burmese tea leaf sticky rice salad (not bad).
Brilliant vegetarian and vegan food. The Xian Xian noodles, pizza dough and hispi cabbage were particular highlights. Great service, will definitely be back.
Best vegan place in town! Food is soooooo good and service is perfect. The knife cut noodle is to die for! Seriously. Also the cabbage and mango rice pudding is what I will always have. Always the place I love to go.
9/10! Like everyone else, recommend the pizza dough; it was soft, deep fried (but not oily) perfection. Also had the cabbage (best I've had), cucumber noodles and aubergine buns (tasty but wish there was more aubergines). Everything was tasty, and the service was prompt and polite. Only improvement

SUCH amazing vegan food. Went with two meat eaters and they absolutely loved it as well. I'd say between us we had 2/3rds of the menu (and all the desserts!) and there wasn't a single thing that wasn't impeccable. I'll be returning back soon to try the other 1/3!

We had booked a family evening at Alter and from the point we got to the restaurant we had no disappointment as the service was amazing and the way our server suggested the menu was really good. The food is all Vegan with no meat substitute and the taste really out of this world. Lots of flavours
