The stunning restaurant contains two floors of seating with minimal, spacious decor and overlooks the gorgeous views of the river. My friends & I ordered the samosa, poppadoms with mango chutney, lamb chops, virgin pina colada & passionfruit mojito for the starters & the drinks. The starters were delicious especially the lamb chops as they were succulent, fresh & flavourful 👌🏼 and the drinks were very refreshing & tasty. The Poppadoms aren't provided with the meal and it's a separate cost. This is because the restaurant informed us of the waste they had to go through when they used to provide Poppadoms for each table.

For the mains, we had the malabai king prawn curry, lamb birayni, garlic naan, dhaal curry & chicken korma. Each dish was superbub and faultless because it had the right combination of flavour, spice & creaminess. The lamb & chicken were cooked to perfection & as soon as the garlic naan arrived with the curries, I could just smell it's naan-y deliciousness 🤤🤤. I thoroughly enjoyed every dish & I would certainly come back again. For the location, the food was affordable, filling & perfect for sharing with friends & family. It's a perfect restaurant for any occasion with any social group or pairs😉.
Finally managed to visit and it was very much worth it. Excellent friendly service, great chilled atmosphere on a warm day looking across the Thames at the City beyond. Food was delicious. The king prawns are to die for and the lamb shank was buttery soft. Loved it and will be back soon. Highly recommend.
THIS WAS SO TASTEFUL!! I RECOMMEND EVERYBODY TO EAT HERE!
I've never likes Indian food very much, but when I ate here that COMPLETELY CHANGED! Also the service is great, just wauw. I wish we had something like this in the Netherlands.
I recently went down to @malarestaurant in Canary Wharf Riverside. Not only its in such a beautiful location, the staff were absolutely amazing with incredible food. Each dish had its own unique taste and was so flavoursome. I absolutely loved the Prawn Poori and the main mans choice of the Chicken Haandhi Lazeez. The restaurant has ample of parking space right below the restaurant at Canary Wharf Riverside Carpark with a 2 minute walk to the restaurant. The Mala Kebab platter is also a great choice to choose from with most of the starters all in one Platter. They also serve shisha in a large outdoor seating area.
Here’s what we ordered:
Prawn Poori £10
Amritaari Cod Fish Pakora £11
Aloo Tikki Chaat £9
Mala Kebab Platter £50
Hydrabadi Lamb Shank £18
Chicken Haandi Lazeez £15
Plain Saag £9
Gosht Biranyi, comes with veg curry £24
Virgin Mangorita £8
Berry Blast £8
Highly recommend this restaurant with a view
Thank you @malarestaurant for the amazing hospitality and it was great meeting you all

WOW. The food was very authentic and extremely delicious. The service was absolutely great - very fast and friendly! From the welcoming at the entrance to the food and our bill - everything was perfect. Price is a bit higher, but is okay for this quality of food. Great place!
Great food, great views and great vibes.
Recommend the the lamb shank (portion is for 1 but can easily be shared with 2). Very juicy, succulent and off the bone. Banging !
We had a lovely meal here. The service was brilliant, we were so well looked after by a friendly team and the food was incredible. It was the best Indian food I have eaten in a long time. We will definitely return :)
Delicious authentic Indian food. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The garlic nan bread is amazing. Very big portions and great value for what you pay. Definitely one of our favourite Indian restaurants.
- The meal & customer service was 10/10 ✅
- The portion was exceptional ✅
And the location offered a spectacular view of the River Thames.
A very well done to the restaurant owner, Vinnie and his colleagues. We absolutely enjoyed dining at Mala, for the first time.
I would truly recommend it for intimate settings or if you are feeling to be fed and fulfilled ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Went there Fri eve at the last minute, the restaurant was full with a great atmosphere. Both food and service were superb, Rafael was particularly attentive. They also have a very good bar run by friendly and professional bartenders, Fabio in particular made some great cocktails with rye whisky, a favorite of mine - his sazeracs are the best! Thank you for a great evening, I will definitely come back when I’m next in London!
The food at Mala is top quality visited on Tuesday for my first wedding anniversary and everything was brilliant. Special mention for Ankit who ensured everything was perfect and he even gave us a little cake with a candle on it for our first anniversary which was a very nice touch
Very nice food. Amazing presentation. Care and detail in every dish that was served. Staff were friendly, helpful and well mannered. Would definitely eat here again.
Lovely place with a great atmosphere. Also love their Playlist and the fact that they're dog friendly. The chili paneer was delicious and so soft. Sadly the chicken was well flavored but not cooked super well. Gulab Jamun was delish but wasn't a fan of it with chocolate ice cream personally. Pretty good shisha and drinks too. Would recommend the lychee shisha and lychee martini.
Great comms via Instagram (I brought my small dog with me so wanted to check if it was dog-friendly, which it is).
We sat outside, which was quiet (I suspect busier during the week with the Canary Wharf work crowd) but more people dined inside.
Staff were amazing- very attentive, friendly & accommodating. We went for the 2-course lunch menu, which included thali options as the main. This was perfect for us, as it had a bit of everything you fancied. My friend is coeliac, which wasn't a problem, as most of the dishes were gluten-free.
The food was tasty & portions were generous (especially the starters).
I would highly recommend & look forward to returning again soon!
Visited here with family for dinner over the weekend. Nice atmosphere and great location.
The food was very tasty. The garlic naan, however, was soggy and smothered with green mush. This has been highlighted before on many comments. Why aren't the management responding to this? Staff were pleasant enough, but we were constantly pressured multiple times into ordering starters, mains, etc. We wanted a relaxed atmosphere but felt very rushed by the staff.. I will tell you when I'm ready to order. Please don't pressure us. I look forward to your response!
I took my mum to Mala Restaurant for her Birthday with 5 family members we were given a beautiful table over looking the water.
We were greeted outside as we were entering which really set up the atmosphere for the night. Our waitress Vallina was excellent friendly patient and really helped with our experience helping us navigate the menu especially as we had two older members with us. The food was authentic and really delicious the portions were generous and really beautifully presented.
Really enjoyed the night my was raving about. I am definitely going back again great restaurant for a date night
I will say plan your travel as difficult to park but there is an underground car park but DLR l and Elizabeth line are accessible. I totally recommend this restaurant.
We have enjoyed Indian curry meals in many countries but it was unanimously decided at our table of 4 that this was one of the best any of us have enjoyed.
The flavours were so very well balanced, the portions were bang-on correct, the service very attentive despite the restaurant being full inside and out.
The poppadum bowl was large and enjoyed by all.
Will return.
