Thanks to all at 40ft Brewery and Acme Fire Cult for an amazing night. We arrived at 7pm on a busy Friday night to sample the beers and then had a dinner reservation at 8pm in Acme Fire Cult. We recommend arriving early as the brewery/bar/tap rooms is as authentic as it comes. If you can sneak a tour then it’s even more special. It’s located down a small alley and you walk around 30m from the main road not knowing what to expect and then you arrive at this little secret village at the bottom. Amazing atmosphere and vibes. Really cool set up. Has to be experienced to appreciate it. The beers are top notch and brewed around 20m from where you get served. Super fresh and a huge range of choice. The staff were helpful in explaining what each beer which helped us choose. We were allowed bring our beer across to the restaurant. We then walked across to Acme Fire Cult for dinner which is practically in the same space as the tap room. One of us is vegetarian and we chose 7 small plates from the menu tapas style. Can’t say enough good things about the food. So much choice and flavour. The grilled hispi cabbage and smoky potatoes were so tasty. The butter style cauliflower was my personal favourite. We were absolutely stuffed leaving. Just want to give a shout out to all the staff in brewery and restaurant who were very busy but gave us a fantastic service. We were made feel like a couple of celebs despite having only skipped in off the street. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a cozy and casual place to enjoy some craft beer in London, you might want to check out 40FT Brewery & Taproom. This unique venue is built in repurposed shipping containers in a former car park in Dalston. The taproom has ten taps of fresh beer brewed on site, ranging from pale ales and lagers to stouts and IPAs. You can also buy bottles and cans to take away or order online. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The taproom is open from Tuesday to Sunday, with different opening hours depending on the day.

An out of the ordinary place with good craft beers and a great selection to choose from. Staff was helpful and gave the right amount of information and recommendations on what they serve. Street weiss was good and I wish I got a chance to try the disco pils, but time was not on my side that evening. Worth checking out this establishment if you feeling like going somewhere different and want tasty beverage.

Had dinner and drinks with a group. Food amazing, lots of vegan and vegetarian, with meat for those that wanted, so everyone was happy. They let our dog wander around and gave her water and then...the drinks...beers very tasty and cocktails perfect. Overall great buzz, attentive service. You can tell these guys love food and drink!

Super quirky tap room you'll struggle to find. Entry is on Abbot St not Ashwin St and bar is in a shipping container

The brewery produces excellent pils, pale ales and IPAs and I would suggest to try them all even though my favourite was the Disco Pils. The outside communal space is shared with a bakery which makes nice pizzas to accompany your drinks. The space is quite large and accomodates a nice mix of people, the vibe is friendly and relaxed and the staff knowledgeable and efficient. Well done 40ft!

Hidden gem tucked behind the chaos of Kingsland Road. Great selection of beers and usually one of the brew team on hand to tell you about them. Brewed just metres from the tap. Great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor space - well worth a visit.

A gem of a find in the heart of Dalston. A hidden wonderland of beer with lovely brews to suit any taste. I had a Dalston Sunrise because we're in Dalston so why not? Find it if you can, you will not be disappointed.

The first time I had 40 ft's 40 ft Larger I felt like I had been touched by a divine hand. It was on tap at the Well and Bucket in Shoreditch and remains to this day, one of the best beers I have ever drunk. I was so struck by the beer, I tracked down the brewery and visited it. At the time it was only open a few days a week (I have since left London, so this may have changed) and is housed in a 40 ft shipping container, hence the name. It's a straight forward place with a big courtyard-y area where you can sit back and enjoy their fantastic beers on tap. The team is heaps nice and in the summer months the place comes alive with life. A must visit if you are in London.

Brillliant out of the way spot to grab a really well made beer in Dalston. I love finding spots in Dalston that you’d need to know about in order to find, and this is right up there with the best of them. These guys are also running a wonderful initiative with their buy a beer for the NHS scheme, where your donations online will be matched by the brewery. Unlike many places you can drink in Dalston, this is one that brews it’s own beer, which not only means it tastes as good as beer possibly can, but that you can still order 40ft to have at home while we’re all in lockdown. Love it. Go there.

I've visited 40FT many times; mostly in summer. They throw a great beer festival and I try not to miss it. The latest trip was for the St John's Eccles Stout in the pouring rain and it didn't disappoint. Great service as always!

Amazing local brewery. Tap room is fantastic, beer selection is great (of course their own brews are the best!) and their delivery service in lock down has kept us stocked up - thank you!
