Not sure where to begin... On a Wednesday evening it was packed which goes to show the popularity. I loved every second. The seating was a bit cramped but it certainly added to the atmosphere. We opted for 3 courses and each was as fantastic as the next. The sign of a good local restaurant offering fresh food was that you had to see what was still available. We opted for the steak as a main course, and luckily they had enough left for us. It was delicious. The wine equally as delicious and we opted for a bottle of Chianti which was rich and fruity.
Service with a smile, relatively fast and the ingredients were definitely local and traditional Italian affair. I loved every second, and I really don't say that about many restaurants. What an absolutely hidden gem of a restaurant. I've read some of the negative reviews and I can't really understand their point. Just because it has old school chequered table clothes, it means something? Take it for what it is and you won't be disappointed. This isn't haute cuisine, this is traditional Italian comfort food in a lively and atmospheric setting. Highly recommended
Hidden gem, completely bustling at 2:30pm on a Saturday down an alleyway in Farringdon. Great menu and friendly service. Loved the ambience and the food. Get the £5 negroni to start and share lots of plates. Affogato to finish is a must!
Truly fantastic Italian restaurant.
Definitely on the noisier side during lunch time.
Loved the rabbit pasta, and the apple tart as well.
The service was friendly, but also quite efficient.
