Hidden gem in Dalston!! We came across this restaurant by accident. It was an escape from the chaos of the high street. The amazing friendly staff when you enter is a breathe of fresh air. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful! I ordered the goat rice and peas with friend plantain which very tasty and flavourful. My son ordered the Jambalaya which he absolutely loved. What a wonderful wonderful wonderful restaurant!!

The food was very flavourful, absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly and looked after us very well. The music and aesthetics made atmosphere very welcoming, felt right at home. The mock tails were a bit too sweet but in all a solid 8.5/10
Very impressed. The restaurant itself has a nice vibe and it is classy. The menu has a good selection of foods to choose from. The food portions are very good for what someone pays. The service is good. I would definitely recommend going there.
I had Soulful Stew. It was very tasty. I will be visiting again.
A fantastic restaurant with a different. A very unique menu which is delightful. Each dish is crafted beautifully, has a fun name and described in detail.
There is two floors, seating around 80 people, so ideal for big or small groups. The Manager Hussain is a gentleman, he understands service very well. We were served by Yasmin and Norshin who were so alert and smiley.
The whole decor is spectacular. The lighting, seating, tables, wall displays. It is a great night out.

We went last Monday to dinner to Afrikana Dalston. Had been in the plans for weeks. It was quiet at first 6.30ish but in an hour they had 6-7tables. The place us nicely designed, service is very friendly and attentive. They have a function room (for birthday parties ect) dowstairs, along with the unisex bathrooms. They do not currently hold licence to serve alcohol but do mocktails instead. Forgot to take a photo of the drinks we ordered. Boyfriend said grilled chicken was very good. So was my bean burger (the bun was a bit though but the bean patty was great). Plantain and okra were both very good! We will be back either here or the Stepney green/Mile end one once that opens this week (we were told).

I have never seen customer service this friendly welcoming and kind in my life in any restaurant in london it was literally geniune customer service from the heart almost felt like i was invited toa friends and not eating ata restaruant.
next the lamb chops when I tell you I could sit their and only eat lamb chops for the durations of my stay thats what I would. yes expensive but worth every penny.
the tacos my best experiance of eating tacos meat was right tortilas were right had the crisp had the flavour.
the choice on the menu was intense with unique names for dishes gave it that extra buzz.
I had the bread with meatinside and the meatwas tender as can be bread tssted like it was just baked then.
the drinks amazing skill and artistry with the mocktails and decent amount of drink in the cup.
the wings were tender.
jolof rice was just right and the plantain done just right.
if i could give more stars I would im defonatley comming back.
Excellent food and speedy service! Massive portion, the bread could have fed 2 hungry people. Love the very tender mutton curry and charcoal grilled bread. Good value for money. Quiet on a Thursday evening.
Great food choices for meat eaters and our vegan daughter. Very quiet, but it was a Sunday afternoon. Would definitely recommend
It was my uncle's birthday and I wanted to find a nice place to eat, I was recommended by a friend to go and try out the restaurant Africana.
I must say what an excellent decision it was Togo to africana and dine in. The Food was so fresh and packed with flavour ,the chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection , the rice was mouth watering .
The food and presentation was excellent , The customer service was on a different level 10/10.
The person who took our orders was called Ryan, I must say what great customer service / people skills he has. He made sure we were well catered for.
Thank you so much Ryan and the whole team, you made it a great birthday for my uncle and family members .

Amazing food! Was very positively surprised at the taste and quality of ther vegetarian burger. The staff was very helpful, especially my server Jay. Great food, amazing prices, great atmosphere and amazing staff.

Me & the mrs came for a quick meal after work.
A tiny weeny bit pricer than normal place but still decent for the quality of food and portions.
Only thing I found was strange was me and the mrs wanted to sit in one of the booth at the end, but they didn’t allow us to sit there when half the restaurant was empty.
Apart from that food was decent.
The interior of this place was beautiful. The food was lovely. I really enjoyed it. The service was also great and staff members were very attentive and friendly.
I would like to visit again and try something different! I have only been once but was pretty impressed.
This has been the BEST birthday meal experience i have had in YEARS, the decor is top notch, bathroom spotless and plush, the meal 10/10 floorless try the "We goat your back" main dish, "cheeky chops" and the "carnival colada" and you will never stol thanking me, i see this franchise going VERY FAR
Lovey place to dine, spacious and the deco is wonderful. Food was good not great - special mention to Faisal, gave us an extremely good service.
As for food it was tasty, I had the bunny chow and it was good, a bit too big for me but I'm slim. The service has a lot of room for improvement. Fairly slow despite being empty on our arrival and then really clumsy with the waitress bring the wrong bill. The atmosphere is good I think suitable for all types of encounters from dates to family meals. Pricing does need work both jollof rice and a portion of plantain are the same price!

What a wonderful restaurant. The minute you walk through the door you can see alot of time and investment has been put in the appearance and decor, it looks stunning. The lighting is very warm and the music is not deafening. The staff here are so friendly and pleasant always smiling and courteous. The lady helping us I believe was Yasmin who was an absolute star. My children absolutely adored her, as she was very friendly and helpful. She even brought us all the sauces on offer to try with our meal (Guys the hot sauce is very spicy! Afrikana sauce and mixed peri were delicious)
The food was very tasty, in particular the grilled chicken. We opted for the platter which consists of various chicken dishes and in terms of quantity was just right as all of us felt happy and full. The Afrikana fries are very tasty with lots of flavour. My only gripe would be to perhaps add a few sides to the platter like fries. There is a Nando's feel to the restaurant but with alot more options and a totally different flavour profile which makes Afrikana very unique. I hope they open one near me in Hounslow!!

I visited Afrikana for the first time today with my son, the moment I stepped foot in the restaurant the service was amazing, I was welcomed by the manager who seated us very quickly. The music, the atmosphere, the staff all so welcoming. Now I have to tell you about our server JESS she was very patient very friendly and very nice she recommended a few dishes to me. For starters we had sticky wings, mac and cheese, for main I went for the "plenty more fish" let me tell you so tasty and they definitely get 10/10 for not leaving the skin I hate skin. For dessert I had the chocolate mouse cake which was recommended by Jess and was not disappointing at all. The only negative I had was there isn't one local to me. The food the atmosphere the staff all amazing. I will 100% going there again and trying out different dishes. So flavoursome. Thank you Jess for making my experience so nice today see you again soon. Literally no complaints. Nothing.
