Great little find in Peckham, the venue is really unique and interesting. Very tasty food and excellent hummus variety. Must try the Kubba if you like fried items
Wow wow wow! We booked this restaurant in June for a birthday party. We had a long table on the balcony. It was semi private and perfect for the occasion. BYOB was amazing and staff were so lovely. The food was one of the best meals I have had in london- so authentic! It really was so amazing and will definitely be back. 10000% recommend!
Amazing food, lovely people, one of the best places to eat out in Peckham. Really good portion sizes and great value too.
The vegetarian sharing platter was awesome. The pistachio hummus was also amazing. They also have a new cocktail called the Hanar House cocktail with freshly squeezed fruit juice and gin, very nice if you like more sour drinks, I really enjoyed it.
Came across this place randomly and had a lovely meal here. All of the food was incredibly delicious, the menu caters very well for vegetarians as well as meat lovers.
There were two very big groups but service was still good. We sat in the conservatory bit, atmosphere and lighting were very nice.
All in all, highly recommend
Really good food, love the interior!! Had the veggie platter and aubergine main then baklava. Just enough for 2 people was really lovely. Little bit cold would recommend jacket. Staff are great too. BYOB which is also great :)
The food served at Hanar restaurant was delicious and vibrant. A new and different cuisine that I’m used to which is amazing. I will definitely be coming back more often. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to me and my friends, and the interior was cosy and beautiful. All together it was an wonderful experience and I will be coming again! Thank you.
We haven't been to this location since it was Yadas (now on Rye Lane). Fewer menu items than Yadas (although just as delicious and with vegan options). Much better ambiance, and we were able to walk in on a Saturday night. They just got a liquor license so we got a bottle of natural red for £33 (you can still BYOB). We also ordered the meat mezze, shredded lamb, and pistachio hummus (our favourite!) Highly recommend.
P. S. You have to access the menu online, which was slightly difficult as reception was patchy under the arches.
From the moment you step through the doors, you'll be greeted by a staff that is not only super friendly and welcoming but also makes you feel like you're part of the place. The interior is a delightful combination of pretty, cozy, and relaxed, providing the ideal atmosphere to wind down and let the stresses of the day melt away. And let's talk about the food - prepare to have your taste buds tantalized like never before. The dishes at Hanar are crafted with the juiciest, moistest, and most perfect ingredients. Each bite is a flavor explosion that will leave you craving more. As if that wasn't enough, the service is quick and attentive, ensuring that your every need is met. You'll be planning your next visit before you even leave, as Hanar is the ideal spot to bring friends and family for a memorable dining experience.
Had a lovely night here for a friend’s birthday. The staff did an incredible job at catering to such a large group of us. The food was really tasty and fresh, such a great environment too can’t wait to be back!
Hanar is a delightful dining experience that truly stands out. The ambiance is inviting, with its warm lighting and elegant decor. The menu boasts a diverse selection of dishes that cater to various tastes. From meat mezze to chicken sheesh, every dish is a masterpiece of flavor and presentation.
The service at Hanar was exceptional, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. They made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
They provided excellent service and wonderful food. A really nice atmosphere and a great place to grab a meal with friends! The meat mezzo was the amazing and i would definitely recommend.
Amazing Kurdish cuisine; enter an alleyway to find a rest area with such a beautiful atmosphere.
Food took about 15-25 minutes to arrive, but the blast of distinct flavour made the wait worthwhile and the attentive waitress moved quickly despite the packed environment.
Left with a satisfied tummy and a happy spirit. Will most certainly return!
It is out of my favourite option when I am on a budget and craving middle eastern flavours.
Either that you choose falafel, kibbeh or chicken shawarma you won't get disappointed.
Pistachio and walnut dips are really delicious.
The only downsides are: the service which can be quite slow, and the pitta bread that is not at the same level of the food offered.
The second is an easy fix and I hope that they will make some adjustments in the future.
A big plus is the fact that you can bring your own drinks. A small corkage feel is applied. For my birthday I brought several bottles of wines in the afternoon and they kindly stored them for me for the evening.
They are a nice crew!
loved the food here and the staff all really friendly. i will definitely recomend this to family and friends.the place was also very clean and comfortable. food came quick and worth the price.
Interesting Kurdish place. It has very chilled atmosphere and friendly vibes. Food is very well cooked and portions will leave you highly happy if you came here hungry. They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own bottle, which is actually nice.
We went here last minute for a birthday meal when our booking at another place near by fell through. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was very tasty and good value. I plan on returning.
