I went here because it was on Eater’s list of best burgers in London and they had a vegetarian option. I have to say that the burger is alright. It’s not bad but it definitely does not live up to American standards. The mezcal cocktail on the other hand was absolutely amazing. The touch of passion fruit makes it sweet and smoky. The vibe is quite nice too! The interiors are done really well and everything comes together to give off a fun and cozy atmosphere.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this local pub, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The highlight of the menu has to be the burgers and Sunday roasts; they were simply mouthwatering and exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere in the pub was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind with friends and family. The cozy ambiance, combined with the pleasant background music, created a relaxing and enjoyable dining environment. What truly sets this pub apart, however, is the staff. The service was top-notch, and the staff members were not only attentive but also friendly and accommodating. Their knowledge of the menu and their willingness to offer recommendations made the dining experience even more delightful. I can't recommend this local pub enough. Whether you're in the mood for a delicious burger, a traditional Sunday roast, or just a great time out, this place has it all. It's a gem in the neighborhood, and I look forward to returning for more exceptional meals and good times.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Hearty tasting and brilliantly presented roast. Had the Wellington, a must try! Finished off with some warming desserts. Nice way to finish the week off, till next week!

We came here for Sunday vegan roast and sat outside in the sunshine. The food was delicious and there are 2 outdoor areas. Really lovely place.

We came here for a roast and were pleasantly surprised. We had a big group of us which they accommodated on a pretty late notice. We had a roast which they had a mixture of chicken, lamb and beef. The lamb was extraordinary, the portion size was great with a wide range of vegetables and meat and the Yorkshire pudding was huge. I also recommend the sticky toffee pudding. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was impeccable. The only slight downside was the price but it was worth it as the meal was fantastic.

We went there for the Sunday Roast, where you can order all types of roast meat. I had the lamb, which was cut quite thinly, like roast beef. Lamb is much better with a thicker cut. But the Yorkshire pudding and gravy that came with it were excellent. Our table ordered two sides of cheesy cauliflower and pigs in a blanket (not what Americans would expect, I think the "blanket" was bacon). I loved the cauliflower, but didn't like the "pigs" though our British hosts devoured them. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. The room was quite noisy, and I couldn't hear well across the table. But overall a very good restaurant.

Me and the girls had such a lovely Sunday roast here!! We didn’t plan ahead but luckily they take walk ins so we had a few cocktails then I had the lamb roast but they even had a vegan option for one of us. The staff were super welcoming and friendly, and the cocktails were just as good as the roast. I highly recommend the pigs in blankets they were luuuush

Saturdays here are incredible, impeccable service. The bartender Finn was amazing, he suggested some cocktails for my friends and I, everyone loved them. Definitely worth a visit.

Came here on a Saturday night - bit busy for my liking - but nonetheless they still gave me an exceptional pair of cocktails - a classic negroni and a house cocktail they call the “burnt pear old fashioned” - my partner is a seasoned old fashioned drinker and I can safely say this blew their socks off! Great recommendation by a bartender called Merlin. Didn’t order food but everything seemed in order- we stayed for the whole night and were suprised at the delightful variety throughout different floors of the pub over the course of the night! Will be coming back soon!

Very nice place to be in for a night out! If you get to be there during the afternoon, the outside area is quite pleasant. If you go inside or the pub they also have a “outside inside” area which is also nice to hangout in. The workers are average. They serve you as they would since its their job, but more “hello” and “thank you” would be nice. The bouncers have an overwhelming sense of self importance so maybe they could be a bit nice Beer is great, nicely poured Would definitely come back.

I came here with my friends for the Sunday roast menu and it was good! It was a bit busy but for as busy as it was the staff were extremely friendly and attentive and regularly checked to see if we were okay. Their recommendations on food and drinks were spot on too. The pub itself is a little too dark and gloomy for my liking but I suppose that’s what makes it unique. We were sat up stairs and I do feel the tables are quite close together but it was bearable. The food was lovely I finished my plate and the drinks were very nice. I would definitely return but probably opt to be seated downstairs as the upstairs is just too gloomy for my liking. Overall - good

Found this pub on the internet from a list of the best pubs in Islington area. We got there quarter to 12pm on a Sunday. Need to queue to get in so better be there before they open. The interior is full of antique sculptures and tiles with a cozy fireplace. We were greeted by the friendly staff at the door and at the bar. I ordered one of their Sunday roasts: Aycote Farm Leg of Lamb. It comes with tasty Yorkshire pudding, gravy, roasted potatoes, carrots, parsnip, kale and peas. Words can’t describe how much I loved this dish. The succulent lamb was tender and full of aroma. Perfect with their mint sauce and horseradish. We also ordered their Corn Fed Roasted Chicken and Cauliflower Cheese. The chicken came with garlic aioli which was heavenly delicious. And the cauliflower cheese was creamy. Everything was yummy. I also tried their local Camden beer which was nice and refreshing. Overall the dinning experience was amazing! Absolutely LOVED it and really miss the lamb! Highly recommend this place! Definitely would love to come back when I’m in London again.

Really great venue. Downstairs, lively but airy bar, wonderful decor, we ate and drank, all of which was great. There to see the French dogs, we all agreed that the gig room upstairs was again a great venue. Go, eat, drink, see a band or play karaoke or beer pong, you deserve it.

Great bar with brilliant staff. Lots of space downstairs in the main pub with seating outside the front and in a small back garden (open till 10pm). Upstairs turns into a club type bar on certain nights. Lots of great events held here. Drinks are reasonably priced as is food. Fantastic roasts on Sundays.

Went there because many ppl said that it has the best burger in london. I'll give the burger 4.5/5 , pretty decent. Aged meet and good sauce, but the portion was a bit small. I also tried the roast, which was average. The interior is quite old and interesting, the staff are nice and the drinks are good.
