Really enjoyed the food. It was tasty and freshly prepared. Portions could be slightly bigger, but really I cannot complain. Plan to visit again.

As good an Indian meal as you can get in a tourist spot. I Dropped in late afternoon on Dec 31 with low expectations but was impressed by the depth of spice on the tarka dal. Breads were good. Samosas were small but delicious and the tamarind dip was thick and like a treacle. Previous complaints about the papri chaat have clearly been heeded as mine was too big to finish. The host was accommodating (willing to serve dishes not on the menu, including a mango lassi which I got despite ordering the pina colada) but I wish he had worn a mask, given the many other COVID protocols clearly in place, including single use utensils and dishes. The overall vibe is fun and I enjoyed the decor and projected moving images of a kitchen in India. Also hats off to whichever baller was just playing an entire Rolling Stones album. That was ace and made my dinner a joy.

Great little find in a good location. Looks very simple, but pretty cool but i think this was intentional going by the name "Indian Alley'. Was drawn in by some different cocktail fusions and local (indian) beers and ciders, whilst we were looking somewhere for a drink. Drinks were true to their name and were authentic in taste and a great twist on classics. The indian old fashioned was pretty quirky and different, which was a good thing. Gin cocktail (forgot name but see picture) was very tasty especially if the sun is out! Nimbu pani is very authentic, best I've had but its very 'Marmite' like. You would either love it or hate it due to the strong taste of the black salt they use. Curry chips we ordered as a biting dish was completely unexpected! Was expecting a sauce on the chips, but it had a dry chilli spice mix which was spicy but really really good! Was surprised! Goes nice with a pint! Samosas you get 2 in a portion, were really nice. The tamarind and orange chutney goes pretty well with this. Didnt order the other food but the chicken wings looked awesome as it sizzled out of the kitchen to a table next to us. Also someone ordered a thali with a mixture of lentils, rice, spinach potato curry and a choice of non veg if required. Again, this looked very authentic and will definitely be back with the extended family to try next time. There is a great Dessert place right next door called Hansel and Gretel, which going by the que is either very popular or has a big influence on social media (or maybe both!). So may need to check this out also!

The food was authentic yummy but limited to a few choices. A touch pricey for street food but hey we were in Camden so it's expected. Cocktails were yummy and not from a machine so that was good. I had the lamb biryani Which had some decent amounts of lamb chunks. Hubs had the chicken biryani but said he didn't get much chicken in it. My 12 Yr old had the curried fries which we all had some of and really liked. They don't have a sauce but instead have a flavourful curried seasoning all over them. Delicious! Not much atmosphere in the place and a bit chilly when the doors get left open. Also they have no toilets on site so you have to use the public ones very close by, which was a bit rubbish for changing a baby but we made do. Turn over of people was pretty fast and the service was attentive and good but not the friendliest or smiliest of Indian restaurants. I'd recommend this place for some tasty, quick and filling lunch with a nice cocktail.

We came here with my parents and our baby. We had different types of vegan curry. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The open space of the restaurant is beautifully decorated, full of fairy lights and has an amazing vibe to it. We'll make sure to come back when we're next in the area.
