The food here is delicious. The sandwiches, the bread and the pasties are so tasty. Definitely my favourite bakery in London so far. 4* because the service isn't always great but don't let that put you off!
Best bakery, be sure to try their chocolate and custard or almond croissants! They also offer great sandwiches/rolls for breakfast/lunch, priced lower that the average cafe on the high street, made with delicious fresh bread. A few vegan and lots of vegetarian options, but cannot cater to coeliacs/those with nut allergies sadly.
Great food, great bread, my to go place for a quick break in Muswell hill! They have amazing ready sandwiches, a “make your own” station where you can chose the ingredients and the kind of bread of you want for your sandwich, and a hot food station too where you’ll find sausage rolls and pastries of all kind - and all of them are delicious! They also have some vegan options, not many but tasty :) you have a huge choice of all kind of sweet pastries as well as croissants and a great variety of bread. It’s in the vibrant centre of Muswell Hill, so you can get your lunch and then go for a stroll in the park. The staff is very fast in serving you, they are very attentive and friendly.
I think this is the best bakery I’ve ever tried in London. Always long queue there (good sign) and very friendly staff. Not to mention the pastries. Doesn’t matter what you gonna try, it’s gonna be absolutely delicious. 100% recommended

A well known bakery in our neighborhood.
We had the pork sausage which was delicious at a fair price for its size.
A lovely well toasted salmon quiche after a long walk went down in a couple of minutes.
The vegan sausage had a nice crunch to it. I believe there were walnuts in the filling. A note for people with NUT ALLERGIES.
I being going to this bakery for along time and also the one in crouch end because I like the food. I was spoken to very rudely today by a member off staff. I just said the queuing system is terrible as I was waiting along time and other people were being served in front of me .
Absolutely amazing. Fruits of the forest cheescake is the most delicious cake I have had in years, can't get enough. Ham and mozzarella ciabatta is fresh delicious and fulfilling. Rebecca the store manager is knowledgeable, polite and very helpful, not to mention patient as it is not easy to make a choice when you are presented with vast variety of deliciousness at a bargain prices
So happy Dunns is now in Muswell Hill, can satisfy my iced twisted doughnut need a lot quicker now. Went in today to pick up a few more treats and the servers were so lovely and helpful. They took the time to go through the different types of bread so I could choose the best one for my lunch.

This is the best bakery in London. I can't recommend it more. Beautiful cakes, confections and breads. They have a little sandwich counter where you can build your own, really fresh ingredients and prices I haven't seen since the 90s, like £2.50 for a huge tuna roll with all the toppings. The service is always friendly and efficient
I'd been meaning to visit Dunns in Hornsey for ages. Some reviews warned that this very old bakery was better in the old days. I saw this branch in Muswell Hill. Very smart, very on trend but not as expensive as some smart sourdough bakeries. The value for money was tremendous. I guess the product range probably has evolved over time - but it is now very attractive. Will definitely return.
If I could give Dunn's 10 stars I would. Not only are they an amazing local bakery with delicious tasty treats, their customer service is next level. My daughter has type 1 diabetes and they make things so easy for us! They have the carbohydrate ratios on almost all of their baked goods and if they don't have it, you can email and ask them!!!
We recently emailed them to get the ratio for mince tarts and they got back to us within three hours. I almost cried with tears of gratitude. Thank you for making it so easy for our daughter to feel so normal!

Dunns is still the best bakers in North London, but please invest in a thick bread cutting machine! - they've got one in Crouch End and I can't believe you can't afford it. Up your game!
