Really nice restaurant for cheese lovers. I've been there a week ago with two friends for lunch and all of us loved it. We shared the melted brie and one of the smaller dishes and all of us left the place stuffed haha. The food is delicious and prices are okay. It definitely is an experience eating on a boat with all the people passing by. Booking recommended, cost is £10 per person, which will be deducted from your bill. Bathrooms available.

The cheese barge was a fantastic experience! The staff are really lovely and welcoming. We did the cheese deluxe (4 cheeses with wine pairing). The pairings were perfect with each cheese and the cheeses were a great selection, a particular highlight was the goat's cheese rolled in ash. The portions are expectedly small and the pairings while great weren't exceptional drinks on their own, but that doesn't detract from a lovely experience overall. The boat is also lovely, spotless and spacious so you feel like you have your own space. Would definitely go again.

This was our first time visiting The Cheese Barge. We highly recommend making reservations, which is what we did. We loved the atmosphere and wish we stayed longer, but was quite exhausted from our travels. The food was delicious. Not sure if we would visit again just because there were other places that were amazing, but we did enjoy ourselves and ate good food.

I really really enjoyed the cheese and wine here at the Cheese Barge. I also really liked being inside a pretty boat, something quite calming about the gentle water waves. It has a very clean, pristine feel inside and quite spacious. We did not make a reservation but we got a table (it might be because it was a rainy, weekday evening). Cheese was amazing especially the fried, curried cheese curds. Wine and prosecco was also really good. I highly recommend and will come back!

I've travelled through Paddington many times but never visited the canal until today. Delightful area, especially on a sunny day. The Cheese Barge is a unique modern venue and we were lucky enough to sit outside. A fantastic menu with a great range of cheese and cheese based dishes to feast from. Also great wines to pair! Would 100% recommend the signature cheese curds! One of the dishes we ordered did not arrive but we chased it up and it came very quickly.

Cheeses were exceptional, wine was delicious, the staff were friendly. However, the service was very slow but that is our only criticism and can be easily rectified with better structuring or an extra staff member. Everything else was perfect but having a time limit per table, you can't afford for the service to be slow. This is a positive review and would give this experience as a gift. Lovely cheeses.

A perfect lunch! The food was fantastic. The service was really good, too. The grilled cheese sandwiches were delicious. The fried cheese curds alone warrant a visit! Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.

Nice little place to stumble upon on a Saturday afternoon. We had the three cheese sampler plate and a bottle of Montepulciano. The cheeses were perfectly paired with an assortment of chutneys and jellies - the Driftwood with the honeycomb was my personal favourite. Delicious!

So eager to eat, I only took a picture of our desserts! All of the food is good. Spinach fritters with goats cheese was awesome. The chocolate mousse is very rich and thick.

My partner bought me an afternoon cheese experience and we had a great time. We were served by Kat who was very attentive and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She even surprised me with a small cake for my birthday which was a lovely touch and rounded off a great experience. The selection of cheeses were excellent and there weren’t any that we didn’t like. Highly recommended for cheese lovers 😊

We were given an Indytute voucher for a cheese and wine experience on the barge as a Christmas gift. What a fun (and tasty) experience! The staff were so accommodating, friendly, and knowledgable - which made the experience that much better. We enjoyed it so much that we even ordered a toasted cheese sandwich AND a dessert!

Had the afternoon cheese as a present and we were pleasantly surprised. After reading other reviews I was worried about the portion sizes but it was definitely enough food for an afternoon snack. You get to pick 6 cheeses, which they paid with different accompaniments. Then they tell you which order to eat them in to taste the flavours best. Definitely a novelty eating on a stationary barge but very cool idea

Such a great experience. Perfect place for a special occasion. Fantastic choice of cheeses, we chose six so that we could sample as many as possible. We weren't disappointed. The wine was great, a London company producing wine from English grown grapes - went so well with the cheese. Staff were friendly and interacted well with us, providing information about the food and wine. Well worth a visit if you're a cheese lover.

Cheese barge is on the grand union canal in Paddington, 3 minute walk from little Venice. You know what your expecting but selection of British Cheeses with choice of Red or White wine. Great for watching the world go by. Have to book if you want to sit on the top deck to enjoy the sunshine.

So good!!! I’m so glad I’ve spotted it in our stroll around the square, the team took us on a real cheesy experience. The guys are so well knowledged and Delilah is such a sweetheart! I’m definitely coming back for those boards and toasties. Book in advance if you aim for their lovely terrace with views of the river and square.
