Cafe Bao - London - Photo album

Stopped off at Bao for a spot of lunch with a friend. The service was excellent with the menu well explained. The Bao was as light as a cloud and the short rib equally as soft. The rice, sauced by an egg was devine. The hot man margarita was sensational and paired the food well. Overall a great expe
They were so busy during the lunch time but the atmosphere and place was big and nice. It was easy to order by marking. I got 15p deal for lunch- fried chicken, daiokon bao, eggplant rice. The fried chicken was so good but the rice was not that delicious. In general, it was good.
Came here for dinner and the staff was lovely, service was wonderful. The tofu balls with rice are amazing, my favourite dish by far. I also really enjoyed the glazed aubergine. I think you could get a lot more creative with vegan options and bao buns. Daikon bun was a bit bland. I added some of the
Cute little restaurant with private dining room on the floor above. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially with the menu if you are not familiar with the dishes. The food is great and tasty. Some of dishes are highlighted as spicy but, personally, they are not that much. It is a very well
Love atmosphere inside, menu has a nice range of options without feeling overwhelming. We went for the set weekday menu for £15. Plus some optionals extras like the beef nuggets.
Absolutely delicious food, not a huge menu but a lot of variety between dishes. The maple fries are HEAVENLY. Busy but lends to the atmosphere, picked this location as it had more tables rather that the bar seats which seem more common at other locations. Staff were all very lovely and helpful.
Thank you for a wonderful eating experience with your friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Food was tasty and yummy too though on the smaller portion, with a good pace service! Overall a lovely place for a meal...
Reserved a table for my friend’s birthday and indicated that it was her birthday online - they gave her an adorable birthday card when she arrived! Food wise, everything was good, but the portions were really tiny. It’s probably better to visit for a snack or perhaps for people with a smaller appeti
Absolutely lovely place, with classic Taiwanese burger, and amazingly comfy decoration. Dining in here was overall a great experience. We hadn't booked a table as we only decided to go in after walking past it yet we were able to be seated by the window. The food itself was extremely incredible. Eve
A great experience! Although the menu has limited veg options, the staff is fantastic! I asked for non spicy sauces so the server brought out a bit of sauce for me to taste so I could confirm it wasn't too spicy! The food was fantastic. The aubergine fritters were crispy on the outside and soft on
Excellent. If you’re into Vietnamese food, this place will not disappoint you: the Vietnamese sandwiches (Bao) are an excellent choice, and same goes for the fried chicken. I actually opted for both versions of the rice bowl — it was that good, I had to try the ones with aubergines and the other wit
I absolutely fell in love this place. The selection of the Taiwanese cuisine and the unique combination of eastern and western flavors! The dishes come in small portions so not super fulfilling, but you get to try a bit of everything. Slightly pricey and worth for its quality and delicacy and the de
Managed to get a bar seat for dinner without a reservation. Were welcomed by three different friendly faces. Food was delicious, drinks took a little while but were great once they arrived. Liana was full of charm and we loved her!
One of my go to favourites! happy they opened a branch in King's cross! Staff is always super lovely and attentive. Did find out the place is baby friendly as well, they have high chairs, make you park your baggy under the stairs and the toilet downstairs has baby changing place. Food is always outs
What an incredible place! (Really happy Kim chi restaurant closes early/ otherwise I wouldn’t have discovered this gem of a place!) Truly hipster- brightly lit with ultra modern decor. Retro music. Great vibe to the restaurant. Upstairs bathroom facilities. A very modern fusion menu with authentic
First time at the Kings Cross restaurant. Smaller menu than the Borough Markets restaurant. Food was good - prawn bao and fried chicken starter were our favourites! Must have is the horlicks ice cream bao! Please note - one bao per order! And they’re not v big so you will need 2-3. Growing up drinki
This is not my first time at Café Bao, have been a few times within the last 12 months and they have been very consistent. The layout and seating is simplistic and feels like a cosy Taiwanese café, which I love. The employees there are great, friendly and engaging. They have been consistent throu
