Lovely brunch place in Fitzrovia. Went with a group of 6 adults and 2 babies and had a blast. Chill atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff.
The place is child friendly, includes a kids menu and high chairs. Note that no lifts if you are seated upstairs. The female toilet includes a nappy changing station and is quite spacious, but it is upstairs.
Food was delicious and portions were generous. Pancakes are tasty, slightly unsure about the sides - more sour than we would like. Drinks had good choices. The menu included savoury and sweet options and a choice for vegan pancakes!
Definitely would recommend, we would visit again!
Where the Pancakes Are in Fitzrovia is a must-visit for any pancake lover. With its extensive menu of sweet and savory pancakes, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
I recently had the pleasure of trying the pear and salted caramel pancake, and it was absolutely delicious. The pancake was fluffy and light, and the pear and caramel filling was perfectly balanced. The sweetness of the caramel was tempered by the tartness of the pear, and the overall flavor was simply divine.
While the coffee wasn't the best I've ever had, it was still perfectly drinkable. And even though the space is a bit limited, the service was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and our food arrived quickly.
Overall, I had a great experience at Where the Pancakes Are. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying pancake breakfast. Book a table in advance, especially on weekends, as the restaurant gets very busy.
The restaurant looks cute (especially the stairs). Upstairs tables are good for bigger groups
Savoury pancakes were surprisingly good. The Dutch baby pancakes taste like a mixture of Yorkshire pudding and regular pancakes. Worth a try if you like to try new things. The vanilla ice cream was a perfect match for the pancakes but it’s still a bit dry without the maple syrup/honey on the side.
Apples were in big chunks so it would be better to cut them into smaller pieces. More cinnamon powder/sugar could be added.
Iced flat white was good too.
Food was all in great portion and the staff were friendly and nice☺️
Iced flat white was good too.
Had a wonderful experience at this breakfast spot! The pancakes were delicious, and the coffee was great. Even though the place was quite crowded, the service was still fast and friendly. I highly recommend it for a tasty breakfast in Fitzrovia 🇬🇧🥞🥓 I would suggest considering a reservation, especially during peak hours…
I woke up this morning with one thought: Pancakes for breakfast.
Luckily for me, Google directed me to Where The Pancakes Are.
The best thing I can say about them, is that there's not much to say! They serve pancakes, and they do a very good job of it. The end!
I had some freshly squeezed orange juice, some fluffy pancakes with heaps of fruit on top, and some SUPER crispy bacon the side. It's the stuff great breakfasts are made of.
If you love pancakes then just go. It really is a no brainer.
One of my favorite Breakfast/Brunch Places in whole London. I love to bring friends and family here. The food is amazing, service is always nice and the locations (so far I’ve been to Fitzrovia and London Bridge) are really pretty as well. Both Fitzrovia and London Bridge have outdoor spaces which is not always easy to find in London. I will come back!
Great place for breakfast. Best to book ahead though, as it gets busy very quickly. Tasty pancakes, both sweet and savoury options available. Recommend the Hummingbird option.
The Dutch pancakes are amazing, I loved it! The standard pancakes are also very good, but I would recommend you give it a try at the Dutch ones.
Everything was good, just felt we needed a bit more time to try a sweet option but our time quickly went down and we had to free the table!
An amazing breakfast spot with some incredible food. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully with a great atmosphere. The staff here are also really friendly and attentive making sure you have ordered and are enjoying your food. The food is great and they have some great options. I highly recommend the Full English Breakfast Pancakes. Bit on the pricey side and the juices here shocked me how expensive they were, but you kind of expect that as it’s London. Overall, highly recommend this spot if you are passing by in Fitzrovia.
I've had this place on my to go to list in London for a while! I love pancakes so I found it really hard to decide whether I wanted savoury or sweet, in the end I went for a full breakfast order with egg, bacon, sausages and tomatoes.
The only let down for me because they were American pancakes and quite large there was no Maple syrup or sauce on the side and we all know how dry pancakes can end up being after a few bites. I asked for Ketchup and it was delivered promptly but I think if I were to come back I'd order a sweet dish for sure.
As a solo diner this place is ideal for brunch/lunch as they have a counter and window seats where you can sit and not feel like youre taking up huge tables. It was a nice day in October so I couldve easily sat outside too. The service was lovely and friendly and it was a nice vibe.
Tasty and fluffy pancakes, had one pancake Royal with salmon, delicious hollandaise and asparagus perfectly cooked. Highly recommend if you’re in a savory mood! My friend had the American and liked it as well. Would give 5* for the food itself, but the green juice was a bit too sweet and the food did take quite a while to arrive when the restaurant wasn’t actually crowded, hence the 4*.
Super Sunday brunch. Really delicious . The Dutch Baby baked pancake with apples and almonds and blueberries was absolutely lovely and the ice cream on the side was delicious. It’s nice that you can create your own combination too. One of our party had simple pancakes with salted caramel sauce, marshmallow cream and fresh strawberries. She said it was amazing.
Located next to Charlotte Street Hotel, this location of Where The Pancakes Are delivers in service, food and atmosphere. Offering indoor and outdoor seating this location feels more cosmopolitan than the Battersea shopping mall location. Spread across two floors the menu is made up of 12 savoury and sweet American style pancakes and 4 Dutch Babies. Stick to the pancakes - they are fluffy, tasty and resemble the thick American pancakes. The Dutch Babies resemble a Yorkshire pudding in size and consistency. The service is warm, efficient and on the ball.
Had my birthday here with family and friends. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful throughout our meal. We had a lovely table upstairs. The pancakes are delicious, some very filling. The price was just right because the ambiance, service and food were all superb. The staff catered to our requests easily. Would definitely be back. Toilets could be better and more frequently cleaned upstairs.
Been there with family with 2 kids, the food was excellent, tasty & beautifully presented. Exceeded my expectations. Service was great as well. We had a stroller & they offered us an inner table with a place to keep the stroller. They have a vagan pancake option (dairy free, gluten free) which was great as well. Overall, highly recommended.
The pancakes here are very good and I'm a pancake snob! Buttermilk pancakes can be hit and miss but these were so flavoursome! I got the American pancakes with sausages as an extra, would recommend if you're feeling indulgent 🤭 it was very busy with a lovely atmosphere but as a result I think the waiters were a bit hard pressed to give all the tables enough attention!
Totally unique pancakes! I tried the pulled beef pastrami and it was delicious. VERY filling. My one suggestion is to put less cheese on top.
The matcha latte was okay but I wouldn’t try it again.
Service was friendly. I recommend booking a table ahead of time.
