Nice food. Prefer the steamed and pan fried mono to the other type. Friendly staff. The chicken wings are nice too. Mango lassi is a good accompanying drink.

First time trying Nepalese cuisine, and Aloo Tama did not disappoint. Service is great, staff who served us is very friendly and knows their menu very well. Loved the momo platter and pork jheer. Our daughter enjoyed the mango lassi. My only gripe is that the chicken curry was a little tough / overcooked for my liking. Waiting staff explained that they are trying to serve Nepalese dishes that are home-cooked rather than upscaling it / for restaurant consumption, which probably makes it more authentic as they use ingredients that they normally use at home. Overall, we enjoyed the dining experience and will definitely come back.

The curry and the spicy momo were all quite spicy but delicious. Love the mango lassi, very good! A small restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. And the food was good, recommended!

Authentic nepalese restaurant near the city center. Mango lassi is an incredibly tasty drink that I had never tried before and it is a must try if you have dinner here. It is basically made of yogurt, mango and sugar and it also helps with the spiciness of some dishes. Roti and chicken curry are good too. The place is a bit small so it is better to book a table in advance.

When in London scouting around for a place to eat nepalese food we came upon this non descript hole in the wall place on Greencoat Row a hop, skip and jump away from Buckingham Palace . But like they say Never judge a book by its cover the exterior does not do justice to the freshness, quality and flavor of the food. We ordered Chatpatey , Chili momo , Chili Chips , Veggie Momo, Veggie Chowmein, Aloo Tama and Yellow daal . Everything tasted fresh and delicious . The flavors were authentic and mouth watering. Swornim was a very gracious and pleasant host . We will definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for a mouth watering nepali meal . Prices were very decent . Will certainly visit again !

I was looking for somewhere quiet, spicy or Asian cuisine but close to the House of Commons. (No I’m not having an affair with a Minister but I was hosting a visiting politician from SE Asia ) I found Aloo Tama! It’s an authentic Nepalese restaurant that has grown from their food truck stationed in the Paddington Basin. From the outside it looks like a cute romantic bistro with its one outside table and fairy lights. Inside the decor is simple but true to their roots. The staff are super welcoming and made us feel like old friends. The dishes come from all the regions of Nepal and I was impressed by the variety. Luckily the manager and staff are experts at explaining the menu. We started with the mixed platter and then went on to share some curries and kebab type dishes. I was pleased to find chilli chips on the menu and a Nepalese version of potato salad and some other dishes I’ve never tried. It’s hardly surprising that we ate a lot as it’s rare in London to be able to sample a totally new cuisine. The curries seem more similar to dishes I often eat but l would describe them as complex, spicy dishes rather than “hot” curries. The only downside is they they don’t have a liquor licence and I didn’t realise it was BYOB. On the plus side the bill was remarkably reasonable. I will be going back as soon as I can to try everything else on the menu.

Amazing little restaurant, with very low prices. Nepalese cuisine is a great find, a mix between chinese and indian with some unique traits. Chicken chilly was nice and spicy with a lot of sauce, momo platter was our favorite, with 3 kinds of momo to try. Mutter curry was soothing and a great dish to finish the meal with.

We came to London from Edinburgh, and was looking for cuisines we had fewer opportunities to try in Edinburgh. We found this restaurant on Google and visited it. The owner was very friendly and introduced Nepali cuisine to us. The food was amazing. We had very positive experience here 🥰

Really great restaurant! The waitress was friendly and the inside was cosy and we had the feeling to be guest inside a Nepalese home. The food was really good and tasty. We went for a mango lassis which is recommended to not be too much on fire 🔥 and decided to go with a mix menus. The Mutton curry was really good. Definitely recommend that restaurant and the price is definitely reasonable (£50 for 2 and we were full at the end)

WONDERFUL NEPALESE RESTAURANT This place is a great new restaurant in the area. All the food was lovely, but I particularly recommend the Momos, the chilli chicken starter and the curries. The price is decent, but not cheap. The customer service is great, they really looked after us and tended to our every need. The only issue was the waiter got our order a little bit mixed up. I would definitely go though, and its the only nepalese for miles around. The interior is clean and fresh.

Food: great food! Never had Nepalese food before and was more than surprised by the quality! Spice level is also more than in point! Location: close to St James Park Station/ Viktoria. Service: gotta love the people here. They treated us like we were at home. Also it’s a bring your own alcohol place. Price: regular london prices and for that quality I can’t complain!

Aloo Tama is one of London’s hidden gems. The food and hospitality here are superb. The Daal baht we ordered was extremely delicious and packed with flavour. Both the mutton and chicken curries were exquisite. The drink options were slightly limited, but the 660ml Gurkha beers are also a nice accompaniment to the food. Service was very friendly and helpful with lots of good recommendations.

Wow! Really amazing Nepalese flavors with a kick. We ordered a wide selection of dishes and none disappointed. Wonderful curries, fresh ingredients and balanced spices. Some of it can be quite spicy so order a Mango Lassi to cool down in between bites!

Nice Nepalese food. My favorite are still the classic momo. You may save some money using discounts from the fork app but check the bill. Discount was not properly given in our case as well as on the table next to us.

My favourite Nepalese restaurant in London! The food here is amazing ! I've always been here with a group of friends so got to try a lot of items from their menu. Classic steam momo, kothe momo, and jhol momo remind me of Nepal. My favourite is the pork jheer so juicy and crispy. The owner and staff are very friendly.
