Kaalika is a family affair and I am here for it. But I am getting ahead of myself so let me let you know why this establishment is so special. Imagine it if you will... following a beautiful day of sunshine and gandering through the Borough of Richmond/ East Sheen me and my compatriots William and Giorgio were famished and looking for sustenance and to our luck we happened to stumble across the newly established Kaalika. Upon entry everything felt just right, we were seated swiftly and comfortably by the host with the most Arvind. Without haste we were brought three crispy cold Cobras and as we perused the menus we were given a chance to soak in the fantastic atmosphere and decor. After but moments we ordered and our food was brought almost seconds later. I (Arthur) had the Korma (classic me irl ffs) and to say it was delightful would be an understatement. The flavours shone without dominating and told a story that I was glad to experience. William had this to say: The daal bukhara did things to me I won't forget and can't quite put into words. Flavourful beyond belief, it gave everything to me and I received it so willingly. We met, we fell in love, we settled down in Sheen and rasid a handsome family. Can't recommend it enough. Giorgio had this to say: I mean it's the classic: boy meets the curry - boy fell in love with the curry. And to be honest I almost settled down with this curry. What an amazing chicken tikka massala, it felt like a nostalgic prance upon my mouth buds. Dont be too (east) keen to tell everyone about this place because its a real hidden gem that needs to be preserved. But wowie my stars. Buckle up. Special shout out goes to Mr Harvey Moore who could not be with us. Also to the Peshwari Naan. It tasted almost good as Harvey does. Lots of love

One of the most authentic Indian food I've eaten. Family run business with everything made in-house. I am a vegetarian and there are whole lot of unique options. Most authentic pav bhaji in Uk !!!

Great place for Indo-Chinese food (and beyond!). Lovely family run restaurant where they put effort into every dish. A delicate and super tasty Chicken Mongolian was perhaps the highlight - absolutely outstanding flavours: complex, yet delightfully light. A slightly ‘different’, less dry, more succulent take on Chicken 65 was packed full of flavour. The pilau rice was nice(!). And the chicken noodles were very tasty - in fact, they would make a nice dish on their own. We also had a complimentary Ginger and fig desert, which was delicious.

WOW! First time here, and the positive reviews don’t lie. This is a tiny simple, family run, casual restaurant. It looks like no more than a predictable Indian takeaway from the outside, with only a few tables. But in the kitchen is a truly outstanding chef crafting remarkable dishes. The food is exceptional. The service is lovely. This is an absolute gem in a sea of average restaurants. It’s our new favourite.

Wonderful family run restaurant, food is pleasant and the bread is the best I personally have tasted. The staff is friendly and smiley, you can’t choose bad food here from their menu, give them a chance!

We found this little gem of a place tonight. Absolutely wonderful food, cooked fresh and with a difference. I love prawn dansak but it wasn't on the menu, however the lovely chef made one for me and it was delicious! Their take on the traditional poppadoms and kulfi is worth experiencing! Well worth a visit, especially if you would like to try dishes that are not the usual menu items. We were very pleasantly surprised and so glad we decided to try this restaurant!

We had read the good reviews so wanted to try this new Indian restaurant in East Sheen. The food was really delicious and authentic and we especially enjoyed the chicken tikka, lamb chop and daal. For the quality of the food the price is very reasonable. This restaurant will definitely give Black Salt down the road a run for its money and deserves to have similar popularity based on its food and friendly service. Wish Kaalika every success.

There is a new kid in town, and it's goooooood. Excellent food, absolutely perfect size portions, and very good service. You have the Black Salt down the road, but it's not always easy to get a table, specially on weekends. This is an excellent alternative. Only little complaint, lassi is really good but a bit pricey (6.95 for a glass).
