We had the 5 course Michelin menu. The restaurant was fantastic in catering to our intolerances which were a bit complicated. The staffs are attentive and friendly. The food was great considering the price point and the restaurant being Michelin recommended. It was quite an unpretentious restaurant which we enjoyed. I particularly enjoyed the tuna carpaccio and lamb. We even got a surprise little gift for our anniversary by the starts which was lovely
Went here with a friend, we went for dinner with their tasting menu. The restaurant is opposite of the king's cross station next to the tube station very easy to find. The day we went was raining outside, inside was warm and cosy. The overall atmosphere was nice and friendly. The tasting menu has 6 courses , I prefer their canapes. My friend likes most of them courses apart from their dessert. He said the refreshment sorbet is one of the best

Recently I've tried a few tasting menus and it's such a great way to try multiple dishes and different flavours.
Magenta restaurant situated in Kings Cross offers tasting menus, a la carte and crafted wine list. Magenta's menu is overseen by head chef Manuele Bazzoni who has a background in Michelin establishments in London and Italy.
.
🍴5 courses we tried (with wine pairing):
Charcoal sourdough
Tuna carpaccio with amalfi lemon and capers
Ricotta and parmesan agnolotti with broad beans, mint and lemon
BBQ lamb rack and belly, smoked goat's cheese
Coconut mousse, yellow peach salsa and blood peach sorbet
+bonus small desserts
.
I really enjoyed all the meals, the pasta and BBQ lamb rack and belly were our favourite. The wine pairing was great as we got explained all the wines and why they were chosen for the particular meals. The meals are on a smaller side but that's expected with the tasting menu concept.

My husband and I could not have had a better first meal for our honeymoon. The host and the waiter were both very attentive, and clearly experienced professionals.
We had the 4 part tasting course. It was so packed with delicious clean flavors. Each bite was a new wonderful variation in complementary flavors, with little pockets of surprise. It's rare that we won't share food with each other, but we both enjoyed ours so much, we didn't want to. The atmosphere was lovely. Bravo to the chef. Outstanding.
My wife and I had a delightful experience at Magent Restaurant. Saiful, the service person, was incredibly helpful and kind. His friendly service made our evening even more enjoyable.
We savored the Apricot Souffle and Maldon sea salt and caramel ganache with hazelnut banana cream, both of which were delicious. However, the Apricot Souffle truly stood out as the highlight of our meal. The restaurant's ambiance added to the overall experience, and we're grateful to Saiful for making us feel so comfortable. We'll definitely be returning for more wonderful moments like this
Enjoyed a lovely meal here with great service. Good location for King's Cross. Not cheap but everything was well prepared.
Dinner wth 2 foodie friends we had the chefs 5 course tasting menu. 1 coeliac and 1 glutwn free. All excellent including the glutwn free bread. Each dish tasted great with interesting and balance flavours and the right quantity. Wine list worked for us. Service was excellent.
What a nice surprise, the food was really good and the portion was just right. The service was amazing, the lady who served us was very attentive and made us feel very welcomed. The atmosphere was nice too, music wasn't too loud and we were able to have a really nice chat without shouting at each other! The best dish was the dessert, I love banoffe pie and it tasted exactly like one but with different textures. I'd definitely come back.
We had a wonderful lunch on the bank holiday weekend. We decided to eat at Magenta for my birthday whilst we were shopping around London. The service is great and the food is fabulous. From presentation to taste it was all of exceptional standard. They clearly take pride in the quality of food served. If you do decide to eat near London St Pancras/Kings Cross go here. You won’t be disappointed. Cocktails were tasty too!
Really enjoyed the new tasting menu.
Friendly staff and great service.
beautifully presented, clever cooking, absolutely delicious. loved the burrata with cherries.. very good indeed and 3 course lunch for £35 is fantastic value.. including Cheese!
great service by Sheila and lovely to meet Manuel the chef.. Stunning decoy.. love the cosy banquettes. just very surprised it was not busier.. a hidden Gem.. such a great location just outside Kings Cross Station..!
We recently had our wedding day lunch here and it was just spectacular!! The food, the service and the hospitality all top top marks! Couldn't have asked for a better wedding day meal from start to finish.
(The charcoal bread and the raviolo were particular favourites of ours)
Hosted a business dinner here last night in their private room. What a great experience. The staff is super attentive (thank you Francesca) and we had a wonderful event for our customers. The food is absolutely top-notch and we were very pleasantly surprised by the multiple course meal we had. The restaurant itself is great and has multiple areas to sit so you can pick your flavor. We even ended up in the downstairs bar late at night with the last stragglers and closed out the evening that way. Thanks again to this wonderful place for not only having great food but great service as well as atmosphere.
good atmosphere, definitely recommend for a good conversational dinner. good selection of cocktails, enjoyable food. the staff is a bit of a mix, waiters and bartenders are really nice, but whoever welcomes and sits people at the table could put some more efforts. being a nice person is not too hard if you practice a bit ;)
Mixed feelings. The atmosphere was great, service was excellent and food was surprising in terms of flavors and ingredients combined together. But after all dishes didn't impress me that much: I didn't like the starter (I had the cannelloni), then I had spaghetti alla chitarra which was ok and then I had the steamed hallibut fillet which was my favorite out of those three. Don't get me wrong - this was quite tasty but perhaps too fancy and sophisticated for me and the portions were small, I left the place hungry after paying 80 pounds. My friend on the other side was happy about the food, she had the duck barchelette, the skate wing and some dessert.
Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Staff are professional and welcoming. I loved my waiter and the host. You can pick three dishes or four during dinner. Everything was wonderful. The black bread was amazing! I loved all the dishes. I also had a signature rosé drink.
You may make a reservation it you are many. I would advise it. It was a pretty packed house when I went. They are quite accommodating and will find a space. I loved that they care about what you think of the dishes. They really care. I sensed a great deal of love and pride in everyone who worked there.
It is a lovely place with amazing dishes. I am still quite full! It is amazing. I. Very happy I ate there. Definitely recommend.
I'm went with my girlfriend and was absolutely an amazing night! The place was stunning, all the courses wad incredible! Special thanks to Michael, was really a great host, explain to us everything about the menu and the vision of Magenta! Highly recommended!
Visited for my birthday. We had the taster menu. The sour dough was amazing. The appetiser included a vegan feta which was nice but not necessary when eating a normal menu. The main course was duck which had a pink peppercorn and lavender crust!! Totally ruined the dish for me. The lavender really was unpleasant. The star dish of the day was the dessert even though I don't really do desserts. Like a deconstructed lemon meringue pie. Was divine. It wasn't very busy but this could have been because it was a Saturday and not a week day. Either rushed between first 2 courses and then a long wait for the others. Decoration was nice and we had a Booth which was nice. The attention to detail was not as good as we have experienced in other restaurants. Maybe hip and trendy is not as good ad the old fashioned.
