Update:
Since Feb 2020 they refurbished and added a small cafe and seats (which is exactly what I suggested a couple of years earlier :)), though you may need to ask to use the toilet.
Though I can imagine seats being full during busy times.
Still a pretty great selection for a Hotel Chocolat store.
You may need to ignore older pics from me and others. I'll try to remember to add updated pics (including cafe) when I next visit.
NOTE: This branch will be closed from 22nd Jan till 10th Feb 2020 for refurbishment, and will reopen with a Cafe!! (as suggested in my previous review! :) )
The new cafe probably won't be using Velvetiser machines anymore, so if you are considering buying a Velvetiser and want to try some full portions for a couple of quid, get there before 22nd Jan!
I guess some of the existing review pictures will then become obsolete, wonder if it'll be easy to clean them up? (though thank you for your service to everyone involved!)

Relatively large branch!
They do not have a sit down cafe (that’s probably the biggest improvement I can suggest), but they do serve ice cream and hot chocolate (remember to get a VIP card for 10% off).
In fact the hot chocolate is made using same Velvestiser machines that they sell, so an excellent opportunity to try before you buy!

I usually go here for the hot chocolates and cold choc shakes when I'm working in the office. Decadent to say the least! The cacao-infused whipped cream topping is unique and certainly eye catching as I notice envious/curious looks in the office.
The service is brilliant and Teddy is fantastic!
Wow, pleasantly surprised by the quality of the chocolate here. Got it home and the wife and I are huge fans despite 15 hours in a suitcase! Great selection for ages, celebration types, etc. and at all kind of price points as well. Samplers, different types of chocolates, even an egg you can break open with candy inside. You can't leave here without finding SOMETHING for the folks in your life that deserve a treat!

Make sure you get the coco whipped cream! It's literally the best thing I've ever tasted. If you're looking for artisanal hot Chocolate/coffee this is the place to go! Staff were friendly and nice, plus gave me 20% off. Hand sanitizer available and staff were all wearing masks despite the awful heat.
If you like chocolate, then this place is your heaven.

We come here regularly to try something new and to stock up on our favourites.
It was a warm day and we stumbled across this store hoping to get some ice cream but ended up ordering strawberry choco shake, the gentlemen who served us has been very helpful and made our purchase pleasant.
Popped in here after a meeting for a quick pick-me-up... and was almost overwhelmed by the choice of chocolates! The range of Halloween treats in particular was pretty impressive (posh chocolate squirting eyeballs!). They also surprisingly sell beauty products too - so a good place to visit if you need a gift for someone too. The member of staff I was spoke to was very friendly - must be all that working with chocolate!
I don't know why but the chocolate here is always fantastic. Why isn't all chocolate as good as this? If I ever need a present for someone and I don't have time to shop, I just come here & buy a big bar of something.
£3.50 for 100g is pricier than Cadburys etc., but I'd rather have a little & less often if it's this good.
High quality chocolate provided in a wide range of products from single origin bars to festive holiday treats. They incorporate cocoa into all sorts of different products as well: spreads, jams, sauces, drinks, etc.... Great place to select gifts for friends and family. Vegan and gluten free options are widely available. The Moorgate location is the largest Hotel Chocolat I have visited in London.
very expensive chocolate in all forms, they do good variety selection boxes to suites everyone's taste and price which is handy.
always have samples to try as well which is a bonus.
