The food was really excellent. Beautifully presented and incredibly tasty, every course was a delight.
We were a table for 4, with diverse preferences, and we all agreed our choices were each as fabulous looking and delicious as the others.
My highlight was the gingerbread ice cream on my dessert… wow!
We were having a late Saturday lunch, but while the atmosphere wasn’t as bustling as we expected, the great food and the excellent service more than made up for it. Bet it’s fantastic in the evening, which we’ll be back to try!

We had a fantastic meal at the Silver Birch to celebrate a special family birthday. The staff looked after us superbly. The food was wonderful. Little delicious extras came beautifully presented before our starters. The high bar set by these was met and then some by the crab and then monkfish that followed. Would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful dinner here. We made up our own tasting-style dinner since there were so many things we wanted to try. The chef and the staff split the the plates nicely—it was quiet so I wouldn’t expect this during a busy time—we didn’t ask but it was very thoughtful. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. The service was warm, efficient, and proper. The restaurant has a beautiful design. It’s a short walk from a tube station and Chiswick has a beautiful Main Street. So glad we ventured out from central London. This place is worth a star.
We had been to the Silver Birch before and enjoyed it but this time was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble - the staff were excellent at ensuring that we had a suitable table as we brought our baby in a pushchair. The food was all excellent and the portions were great, meaning that we could have 3 courses without it being too much. We also asked for wine recommendations with each course and these were perfect. There were so many wonderful little touches such as the elderflower fizz and snacks at the start and the delicious lovage butter with the bread. The staff were all brilliant too - very knowledgable, professional and friendly. We will definitely be back soon.

Great meal from start to finish. We had visited before, and it was amazing. This second time they outdid themselves. Great food, attentive service, fairly priced and relaxed atmosphere. We will come again in future.
Everything was fantastic- will never forget the cod dish- perfection!
Went there for lunch and the waitress was super sweet and brought us some lovely canapés at the start with their fabulous home made sourdough.
Will definitely be back!
We always walk past The Silver Birch on Chiswick High road and finally got to try it out. We managed to get a reservation with the hot dinners offer and were really impressed with the food. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed and the food was excellent.
We started with some fantastic amuse bouche nibbles which was great with their bread (made on site). The starters were delicous but the highlight has to be the lamb for main course. Beautifully cooked and extremely tasty. The fish was also nice and dessert was delightful.
You can easily see that they will be pushing for a M star very soon. I won't be surprised with the CV that the new chef has!
Wow, what an unexpectedly fantastic meal. Each dish had excellent flavour and was executed with care and thoughtfulness. All the little extras made the meal feel very special. Highly recommend!
The best local British Restaurant in Chiswick, London. Been here for lunch on a Sunday, perfect ambience with relax atmosphere plus delicious food and friendly service!
This resturant is such a lovely experience for a long lunch or dinner, we have been for several family occasions (birthdays and New Year’s Eve!). The cocktails are both classic and delicious and the food is to die for. The monkfish and knickerbocker glory for dessert are absolute must gets!
