Excellent food and service from the waiters but I'm very surprised to see alcohol being widely served in what I thought was a strictly Muslim brand/establishment. I was not aware that Ambala had a sit in restaurant which is great and on top of that I'm surprised that wines and spirits are being served. Not really the place a Muslim family would want to have a meal just purely due to the fact that alcohol is being drunk. I will still order a take away from here as the food is halal although it has cast some doubt on whether the food actually is halal so may investigate further or just eat elsewhere. 5 star for the food and service but the 3 star just on the fact that alcohol is being served.

We had visited a while back and then I revisited recently, between that we've ordered from here a few times. Loved it every single time. It is a truly satisfying experience of Punjabi (North-West Indian + Pakistani) cuisine. You will be spoilt for choice, enjoy a buzzing atmosphere, be waited on by attentive staff and you will get value-for-money.

Unexpectedly, really good and fresh food! Aadesh and Chris are excellent hosts! Cleanliness and quality ๐Ÿ‘Œ I ordered Chicken Pakora, Onion Bhaji, Chilli Chicken and Egg Fried Rice. Must say first time I was served fresh Pakroas from the stove to my table. The rice was very tasty and I took another set home with me. I highly recommend!

We hosted a surprise engagement party for our friends here and it was a great venue to do so! It was very easy to book the table for a large group and pre order food. The service was fantastic, the waiter was highly attentive. Food was also great with large portions at very affordable prices. Lots of choice for everyone whether you are vegetarian or not.

We recently had a function for over 70 guests at our house and went with Ambala for catering and I am so glad we did. Sunny and his team were super professional. They initially delivered the starters and then came back to deliver the mains and on both ocassions they came slightly early to help set up the food. Every guest commented on how amazing the food was! Ambala is my favourite place to eat not just locally but in London and I have tried many including some big names in Whitechapel but Ambala is the most consistent. If you having a function no matter the size honestly you cant go wrong with Ambala. Thank you Sunny and is team for making our function a memorable one!

I ordered via Uber eats. The Tarka Dal is excellent but the chicken tikka masala terrible. The sauce for the masala is tomato soup with coconut, it literally tastes of tomato soup... But that said the Dal was really excellent.

The items are great and have an authentic flavours of Indian cuisine. The taste of Indo-chinese food reminds me about street-side stalls in India. The best aalu-paratha I have it. Thank you!

The best food always. Even if I have to travel the distance to get a takeaway, I always choose Ambala Karahi. Their butter chicken, paneer tikka, kebabs, and you name anything on the menu, it tastes of true authentic north Indian punjabi flavours. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try authentic Indian food. You wonโ€™t be disappointed. Will always come back here.

Typical small restaurant but quite narrow which can just about stretch to accommodate a small group of 8. So wheelchair access is a bit trick. Better off ordering takeaway. Food prices have increased ridiculously but sadly failed to improve quality or quantity. I don't expect to be served more bones than meat but that's what you get. Get the boneless options and you will find the old lump of gristle and fat. Depending on the chef you will get either curry leaves or too much methi (mustard leaves) making the dish bitter. Be very specific when ordering but unfortunately if the dish has been semi prepared you will have no choice. The kebabs are now overloaded with methi instead of coriander. Saying that I have had an excellent paya and lamb curry. The paneer ticka is a must have starter. The naans are fresh and tasty. I'm beginning to loathe chickpeas as they overwhelm any dish with them (samosa chart - dig around and you may find the vegetable samosa). Gol gappa were a mess by the time delivered as a limp mess notcrispy at all and the tamarind chutney too thin . The keema naan was a soggy mess with lumps of mince falling out. However overall this is the best punjabi restaurant in the area and i can say that having tried the half dozen in the area. Does offer vegetarian dishes but make sure you mention an allergies as they will adjust or advise accordingly. Parking here is abominable during day but better after 7pm weekday and better on Sunday as fewer restrictions.

I've used Ambala sweets for all my family events - graduation parties, mendhis, weddings and their sweets are always reliable quality. Parking is not easy if you haven't been there before.
