Best thing here is definitely the mushroom pizza. Full of flavour and delicious. I’d only come back for this. The other pizzas flavours are pretty basic. The Mochi nachos were not bad, however they guacamole was very under seasoned. Cheese bombs were tiny, flavour is okay. Mochi garlic bread is also not bad, however lacking in garlic flavour. Do not recommend the BBQ glazed Short rib with rice. So underwhelming, no flavour and also the rice was still hard in the middle. When we mention it to our server, she just said the rice is cooked with a rice cooker, so it should be cooked. But eventually offered to change it for us. The decor is also a nice vibe.

Funky , new wave pizza joint with a twist. "Japanese Tacos" were tasty. The short rib beef pizza was tasty...good combination of flavours and it works. The pizza crust was thin but soft , nice. The miso prawns divided the group.Maybe a bit too creamy for some. Overall good pizzas! Thanks you .

Great pizza with a twist! We had the "signature"-dish: Pizza with mushrooms & a soya sauce. I wouldn't eat it every day, but it is extraordinary and definitly a try worth!

This pizza place is amazing! The mix of Italian and Japanese flavors will blow your taste buds away. It's the perfect place to hang out with friends and family, and their unique and seriously delicious pizzas are an absolute must-try! Be careful, the Mochi Nachos may become your new addiction.

My review from almostvegan_london on Instagram (not ever sponsored or gifted. I use my own money!) Vegan the mushroom pizza 10/10 Chocolate ice cream 8.5/10 Tokyo Pizza is in Maida vale, a short walk from the station. It's not a purely vegan restaurant just they can adapt options for vegans if you ask. They are really friendly and have a nice outdoor area so it is perfect for a sunny day! The indoor area is pretty cool too with some nice small enclosed tables which are quite private too. The mushroom pizza had "Shiitake, enoki and shimeji mushrooms with chives and sweet soy truffle glaze". £16 + £2 for the vegan cheese. I always feel a bit meh about paying extra for vegan cheese because the ricotta it is supposed to come with would probably cost more. But it was a truly fantastic pizza! I love truffle and mushrooms and this was the ultimate vegan mushroom truffle pizza. The mushrooms were really finely chopped and the truffle soy glaze flavour was really strong but not too overpowering. The base was really thin but held up when you lifted the slices up to eat them and was a bit crispy. I will absolutely be back for this pizza it was fantastic! I would say in my top 5 in London for sure!! Great if you have a mixed group as I was told by my friend the non vegan pizza was also brilliant although I'd say the vegan pizza is worth a try as a fab vegan swap even for meat eaters. The chocolate ice cream was a pleasant surprise as lots of places I just get no dessert. Maybe they could add that this is an option to the menu online as I thought I wouldn't be getting dessert here. I drove but my brother informed me the yuzucello is a must try as well! I'll try it next time!

I love a good fusion Japanese restaurant and this is definitely one of them. The pizza base was perfect, with some subtle Japanese toppings. Staff are friendly and attentive. Save room for dessert!

was doubtful at first cuz the fusion of tokyo, pizza and taco seemed quite random.. but really enjoyed everything we ordered from starter to dessert and wine. the only thing is the restaurant is in the basement kind of place so it is dark and a bit of unpleasant smell. maybe better try the terrace seats next time!

Tokyo pizza is a great little place that offers pizzas a bit out of the ordinary. The interior decor was really great but the room we were seated in had very loud music which interrupted the joy of the dining experience a bit. Food was amazing though, we had cheese bombs, mochi garlic bread (amazing!), and the wagyu pizza. The pizza had a great crust and nicely thin base. Staff was also very friendly and good with recommendations. They recommended the Shibui cocktail which did not disappoint! Would definitely recommend making the trip out to this place.

Probably the best pizza i’ve had in a while. They have a few unique options which makes a nice change from the classic Italian pizzas. Service is efficient and staff are friendly too. The base and crust is amazing. Nduja Wagyu was spicy and delicious. The Burrata Pizza was fresh with lots of burrata, fresh tomato sauce and fresh basil. Short rib croquettes were ‘melt in the mouth’ deliciousness.

Given that the menu has such a wide variety of options from tacos to pizza and rice bowls, this wouldn’t be my usual choice of a restaurant. But I was craving some good pizza and decided to trust the google reviews, and to my surprise Tokyo Pizza did not only disappoint but exceeded my expectations! Absolutely delicious pizza with fresh ingredients and funky combinations. Will visit again. We had a pizza with burrata cheese and one with wagyu beef - both excellent. The only thing I didn’t enjoy is that we were seated in the very small separated area of 3 tables and when everyone was talking at the same time + quite loud music from the speakers, I felt as if we were at a bar during the happy hour 👀
