I'm a regular here. The food is good and I've never had a bad experience after probably over 50 visits. The odd mistake is normal (forgetting a side order or something) but very rare.
But what brings me back is the price. You get more than what you pay for and the quality as I've mentioned is good so I'll keep visiting.

Abbey's never disappointed in serving good food any time of the day. I have been going regularly to Abbey's and it is quality for the price.
The restaurant is clean and the staff is very kind.

The delivery is quick the food is delivered hot and the quality of the meal is amazing.
We've lived in the area and this restaurant is by far one of the best in terms of food quality and flavour. Ordered twice from them and both meals have been incredible. Lovely flavours generous portions and absolutely delicious. Don't be put off by the negative reviews. This place is awesome.
We always order with ABBYS Grill.. what i like the most is the food always taste fresh and they aren't stingy with the portions size unlike other neighbour takeaways. My familys all-time go place!!!
Food is great. Service is alright, sometimes if feels like they don't even want you ordering here. But the food is just too good for me to fault this place. 5 stars only for the food, intact I'll give the food 10 stars

I have to say this is one of the best peri peri chicken places I have tried! Forget the big names now ..I will be ordering from here in future! Good portion size, great spicy flavours and good prices. Tip: Medium peri peri is still quite spicy so for those who can't handle much spice - go for the mild!
Very pleasant restaurant and especially good and brilliant customer service from Shahid the manager.
I recommend the food here it is excellent and very good value too.
Shahid displayed 5 star customer care at all times and is a very charming character. He is very snart and advised me on the levels of peri peri spicing with his expert knowledge.
Abby's Grill management should be very very proud of this young man and his achievements.

I could go on and on food is amazing and the staff have that real ‘old school connection’ with the local community - taking care of the people - respectful, courteous, and just full of grace.

Recommend by my son, I must mention that this is the best grilled chicken I've had in a long time! We ordered a whole chicken meal based in hot sauce, peri peri rice and a side of chilli and garlic mint sauce. The mint sauce with the rice was devine, the chicken was grilled to perfection and I do mean grilled as meat should be. The fact that you can choose how you'd like the meat grilled was strange but I'm glad that there's an option. Not everyone likes over grilled dry chicken. But this was not. Forget Nandos, forget Peri Peri or any other grilled meat place. Trust me. You have to try this!
Easily best chicken in heath/norbury/Croydon. Don't sleep on this joint. Been a regular for years never an issue. Medium spice is perfect
Budget friendly version of Nandos and taste wise they are much better as well. Would recommend and will come back again,hope the taste and service remains the same. Thanks

Very good food at very good prices which makes makes me return every time! I got a bit nervous when I heard that they are currently closed but they are refurbishing so it's all good. Hands down the best grilled chicken in the area.
Cannot go wrong with the Peri Peri Grilled chicken at Abby's grill. Excellent value for money for a quick bite. The half chicken meal can easily be shared amongst two people with a normal appetite. The 99p cheese burger is served in quite a large bun but at 99p is a steal. It is always quite busy so expect a length wait ~15-20 minutes. Seating is good for a local chicken shop. Abby's grill is must try if in the area for a quick bite. Prices will go up once the business picks up.
Absolutely incredible. I’ve been coming here for three years and each time I visit, the chicken tastes better and better. The brothers that own the shop great people who genuinely care about their customers.
Haven’t rated atmosphere as we have only ever used as a takeaway . Was sad to see the business close due to a fire and wish them well with reopening . Lemon and herb chicken is fresh and very tasty .
