What a fabulous night out. Perfect for foodies that love musical theatre, a private room with waiters and waitresses that really should be on the West End, serving food and drinks to your table and singing your requested songs all night. We always stay after our dining time to dance and take advantage of the private bar. Ellen, our waitress this evening, kept the drinks coming and also belted out some absolute showstoppers (she was incredible at both). It really is an amazing night out. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience and we cut fine our experience due to squeezing this in between shows. I had read a large number of reviews and thought we’d give it a shot, downstairs within Piano Works is probably the MOST west-end theatrical bar & diner you’ll ever find, definitely beating Theatre Cafe Diner & probably on a par with Stardust in NYC We were warmly greeted by a team who knew we were pushed for time, explained how song suggestions worked and attentive throughout. I have to say as someone who works as a Manager in hospitality it was incredible to see such service between making drinks, waiting tables, cleaning and singing their hearts out. Music is played on a live grand piano and you can suggest your favourite titles from shows, getting solo’s or groups of the Singing Waiters to literally serenade you. Anything from High School Musical to Phantom (very different styles) and some of the singing was literally breathtaking. We requested a couple of songs and they were beautifully performed, the ‘cast’ it seems had a thoroughly enjoyable time performing for every single guest but every song, even having solo’s for songs that were usually performed by a few cast. The food was brilliant as were the cocktails: long island iced tea was superb, full of flavour as was my friends Passionfruit Martini. Her starter of Chicken Goujon went down a treat as did my flavoursome Soup of the Day with crusty bread. Mains we both went for the Chicken Supreme that was piping hot and again full of flavour. It was such a shame we were tight on time, I’d stay for an entire evening and now know how / where I can fill some time with great entertainment & food. Thank-you to everyone working the early evening of the 12th of October, you were all superstar’s and you all shine so bright, it was distracting to eat – I just wanted to watch you all perform, I for one will be recommending, returning – oh and this review is part of my online theatre blog too. This place is amazing. It's like a live karaoke bar where you can special request songs top talented professional singers who have an awesome band to back up the pianist. Such a happy vibe and the night we went, the duo performing were just fantastic.

Went to Studio 88 for the 1st time yesterday, was a great place. Fun and exciting music. Food wasnt too great, in cones and if you like nice food not the best place to visit. Would go for drinks and live music and you can give song requests.

Studio 88 hails from House of Song, the same company behind one of my favourite bars, The Piano Works focusing on live music in London. Ideally located in Leicester Square, just minutes from M&M World and the Odean, Studio 88 plays NON-STOP MUSIC! The fun doesn’t stop there – it is all about the audience choice as you get to request the songs! From 5-8pm everyday enjoy Champagne and Cocktail Hour where you can enjoy two pianists playing your song requests. During happy hour you can get some of these fantastic offers: Bottle of Moet: £32 Selected cocktails: £5 House bottle of wine: £12 Bottle of Prosecco: £18 Tuesdays you can get 2-1 signature cocktails from 8pm until close and on Winehouse Wednesday you can get ANY bottle of wine for the cost of house wine all night long! We sampled four cocktails which were all pretty great (particualrly the porn star!) If you fancy something to eat whilst drinking and singing, Studio 88 offers California cones and light bites. For £25 you get 6 Californian cones and a glass of prosecco. They are served from 7.30pm and brought out one after the other in intervals. We particularly liked the Coconut Chicken Curry: Sticky Jasmine Rice, Coriander, Chutney And Crispy Fried Onions and the Miso Glazed Lamb: Braised Lamb, Black Bean and Quinoa Casserole With A Spicy Chipotle Coconut Yogurt. You can request vegan cones if you like! Great for a light bite whilst out with friends – I would be inclined to say slightly on the expensive side but it is good that you get the prosecco included in the price. For such a large city, London is actually pretty short on live music. Studio 88 offers not just this but with everyone making requests you get such an eclectic mix! The staff are so friendly, the happy hours are fantastic and it is SUCH a fun night out!
