Great concept for a unique tea in a city full of tea options. Cute dishes in a great courtyard, and there was so much beautifully prepared food. Generally traditional foods with a twist - they even offered additional sandwiches, but i couldn't finish the original portion. Service was excellent, insisted on trying multiple teas for the full experience. Would totally recommend!
Overall, we enjoyed our visit and first British afternoon tea. I think this is a great option for visitors who want to their first afternoon experience. There are many options throughout the city, and they can get quite pricey. The Mad Hatter Afternoon Tea is reasonably priced, and you can make it as fancy or casual as you desire since there is no dress code. Though the platter looks small, it is definitely filling! If you find yourself desiring more, the sandwiches can be replenished. My favorite thing was actually the cute little chocolate carrot pot on the top dessert tray, scones, and the dedication to the Alice in Wonderland theme. Oh, and the drinks from the bar are great! Customer service was fabulous. Thank you for having us.
Flavio was a great server! The sandwiches were ok, the scones were delicious, and the desserts were ok. We really enjoyed the tea. The atmosphere was pleasant. It was my daughters birthday and he brought her a lovely cake and candle. The tea set was adorable.
Booked for 5 People. Birthday Celebrations for 2 of our Group. Food was lovely very enjoyable. Service was very good Wiem & Waly were the staff who looked after us, very attentive, helpful and friendly. It was an absolutely fabulous afternoon would highly recommend. Would definitely book again.
Myself, wife and mother-in-law are visiting the UK for our first time. We wanted to do an afternoon tea experience and Mad Hatters tea was the best experience. Our server, Lay was excellent. He explained the entire process to us and was very attentive to our questions and provided us refills on our items we ordered. Lay was very polite and pleasant as well. We would recommend this tea place. Thank you again.
Sanyogita was an amazing hostess ! I brought my family here to celebrate my and my father’s birthday. My sister and I are vegan and the plant based tea menu was outstanding. The scones were absolutely delicious and I loved the carrot lox-style sandwich. It was my grandma’s first time having high tea and she really enjoyed the experience. This has by far been my favorite tea experience and I will be returning in the future.
Everything was great! I loved the theme, and the look and simple elegance of the outdoor patio. Service was also great, although a little slower once more people started coming in. Expected though, of course. My server Flavia was amazing. She kept the tea and the sandwiches flowing. She even offered to help me take pictures, since I was dining solo.
Not all of the food was phenomenal, but I would definitely do it again. I highly recommend the White Rabbit tea, but I believe you are allowed to try multiple if you can stomach it.
Due to my love for Alice in wonderland, I was very excited when my friend suggested this place for afternoon tea. The theme was lovely and the place was clean with good background music that was at the right volume to hold a conversation easily.
The tea was really nice especially queen of hearts and mad hatter in my opinion. My friends liked Alice and mad hatter.
The savoury was chicken, shrimp, eggs and halloumi sandwiches. The halloumi sandwich was put instead of bacon for our table and was the star of the show. It was definitely the best sandwich of them all and I loved that we were able to refill considering I was very hungry.
The dessert was pretty nice as well and the scones were warm and freshly baked.
Overall, it was a good experience.
We had an amazing experience having afternoon tea at the Sanderson. Sanyogita who was our waiter was over the top and so thoughtful. She made sure I have the best sandwiches that are pregnancy safe🙏🏼 thank you so much for the amazing service
Jemima is an absolute star, so polite and knowledgeable, and her service was impeccable! Ask for her if you go! Also the Italian guy was very nice. The experience was very good and met the expectations
Our host Zanzi was very kind and helpful! She made sure all of our dietary needs were met. She made sure to check in with us frequently and our food and drinks came out quickly. Overall, we had a relaxing and tasty time.
I had a lovely experience at the mad hatters afternoon tea for my birthday. I loved the selection of teas and cakes. I’m a big fan of Alice in wonderland so I loved the theme. It is a little pricey for what it is though.
Vegan afternoon tea option was delicious! The vegan halloumi and red velvet was my favorite. The location is so beautiful and elegant. We sat outside, it was cool, filled with plants, and next to a water fountain.
Me and my sister came for the Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea. The service was fantastic, Jose was very informative and attentive. The cakes were amazing however for us the sandwiches were a little too outrageous in flavour! We would recommend people try this experience for something different to a standard afternoon tea.
Our server Jorge was absolutely incredible. We had such a blast. The food was wonderful, and the gluten free options were magnificent at no extra cost. It was unlimited tea with cool themed flavors and unlimited savory treats. The sweet treats were more than enough. Great experience. Great food. Great service. 10/10 recommend for a London trip
As a traveling American visiting London for the first time, I was excited for my first afternoon tea! My server Sanyogita was wonderfully helpful and informed in picking teas that complimented each other and the food. Everything was lovely! The Earl Grey was especially nice.
