This restaurant had popped up on my Insta a couple of times so after a failed visit to Borough Market for food, we decided to make a short trip to Big Town. The staff were really nice although the empty table near us took an extended time to clear. The seafood platter was a real highlight featuring some huge prawns and shrimp with squid inna beautiful garlic sauce. The beef stew was okay, but my bar is set real high as my partners home made one is excellent. That being said, a little more spice would have elevated it. The jollof wasn’t bad, it really is one of those dishes that can genuinely be cooked million ways so no issues here. Not bad at all, I think it certainly warrants a second try.
Wow!!! It was worth the wait ordered grilled Tilapia came with plantain, a side salad and a portion of chicken Gizzards in tomato sauce. the taste was amazing. The staff were friendly and apologized for the long wait. To my surprise when I got home 2 soft drinks were gifted to my meal. For sure will be going back soon.
Had a really good experience here! The food came promptly and tasted delicious. I've never had Nigerian food before and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and spicy everything was. Service was good as well and they were helpful!
The Best Nigerian🇳🇬 restuarant/takeaway on Walworth Rd👍. Excellent customer service, very warm and friendly staff, food cooked fresh and tvery tasty. Jollof rice is great, with prawns and Nigerian fanta.
I dined in with my mother (supporting local businesses) and the manager and new staff treated us so well.
The chef is also very passion about his food. Asked us if we enjoyed our meal and we did👌. Totally recommend this shop. A great go to. 👍
The restaurant was great , very nice aesthetic, great food, good music and good service. Only issue was there wasn’t any Mac n cheese or rice noodles when I went, and that’s what I wanted to order when I was there. But the food I got was still really good!
Staffs are nice but service is not up to standard when u asked for a fork ,or plate they are asked you if u really needed? A glass ? Yes i drink inside a glass 😁. Still the foods is nice but very spicy🤩🤩my mouth was on fire. They needs to adjust the spice a little bit. Even as a person eating spicy foods,this was to hot. Children cannot cope with the spice so family will not be able to come and enjoyed or even discovers something new. THIS IS IN PLACE OF PAN & GRILL WHO CLOSED DOWN😢😩😩 so SAD ABOUT IT. XX
We had an excellent experience at Big Town! The staff were attentive and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a lovely vibe and yummy dishes.
Amazing seafood special! Amazing jollof rice and spicy gizzard. Best fried plaintain ever! Have gone back repeatedly and still our favourite African restaurant.

Food delicious best Halal Nigerian food I ever had but the service not good it took like 10 mins to get 4th bowl and Jollof rice to table it was 4 of us dining out yesterday there only 3 bowl of Jollof rice plus we waiting for drinks as well
Lovely well presented food and staff. However 4 stars because our drinks got forgotten about and we had to ask for them again and we also ordered suya but it never got added to our order/didnt arrive. Would come back but perhaps customer service could be improved.
Best jollof rice I’ve ever had and delicious chilli.. I bring all my friends here and never fail to impress w tasty food .. sad to learn it’s delivery only now? I’m a loyal customer and travel all the way from the west for their jollof

I want to give a huge thank you to the Big Town team for making my birthday such a wonderful experience. A special shout out to Emmanuel, Timi, Ada and all the staff that worked tirelessly to make the event a resounding success! I hired the restaurant for the evening and it was truly an amazing night filled with great vibes, delicious food and bottomless rum punch! The best way I can describe the team at Big Town is “accommodating”. From the very beginning they worked to ensure that I could have the event that I envisioned and thankfully it turned out even better than I imagined! My guests can’t stop raving about the beef stew and plantain, those were fan favourites and went very quickly on the night! I would highly recommend, run don’t walk!

The food here is absolutely amazing. Classic Nigerian food with a special twist to it. I'd most definitely recommend the beef suya, jollof rice and freshly made Chapman as your drink! Quick service, friendly staff and great portions. Child friendly!
