Wa Japanese Patisserie - London - Photo album

In the UK, the cakes I've had are generally sweeter, and the cake texture tends to be denser. I personally prefer the soft and fluffy Japanese sponge cakes paired with light, smooth, and mildly sweet fresh cream. I was delighted to find this Japanese cake shop. Due to its popularity, there was a lo
The strawberry shortcake and matcha latte is soooooo good. Not too sweet at all! Some might not like how subtle the sweetness is, but just enough to taste the flavour. Very soft and moist cakes- def recommend! Very busy especially at night and limited seating. But we’re able to sit and chill for a
I brought my non Asian friend here for lunch and we both enjoyed the food and drinks very much. The serve was very good as this is a small cafe and it was quite crowded on a Saturday morning, the server has requested some customers to sit together around a table to make space for us. The drinks are
Having tried WA CAFE several times over the year, I would definitely say the white grapes shortcake I tried today is my favourite at all. Just the perfect balance of sweetness with the cream and fluffy cakes and sourness from the white grapes (previously I found some of their other cakes rather too
Such a nice place to eat! Very very clean, lovely interior and friendly staff, situated in Covent Garden! It’s very calming inside, not as bustle-y as the rest of Covent Garden which is nice if you want some peace to chat! Went here with a friend and had a great time. My only qualm is they need more
Beautiful little cafe with some delicious pastries. Unfortunately couldn't sit in as they were packed! Tried their Matcha Croissant and Double Matcha Melon Pan. Both were great and not too sweet. The only letdown was their Matcha Latte - it's made with soy milk, and unfortunately we couldn't taste
An amazingly clean and fancy Japanese bakery and the food variety and looks are amazing (though I felt my cake a little dry). Great atmosphere and lovely service. Not too pricy considering it’s location and quality.
One of the most authentic Japanese patisseries in London. You can’t go wrong with their Japanese classics such as the matcha roll or strawberry shortcake. However, I would highly recommend trying one of the more unique offerings, such as the Mont Blanc. It’s a chestnut dessert with layers of chestnu
Food and service were great, but seating is limited in the Covent Garden branch and we had to queue a while to get a seat on a Saturday. The shop was also to hot, it felt like they were running the heating in summer. But eating the Matcha Tiramisu was like walking on clouds- absolutely divine!
The service is really great and I had the best matcha i’ve tried in london so far and their strawberry short is to die for. Deffo my go to japanese bakery
Bakery itself was really good. Not too sweet , soft and blend texture. All seats were taken so we bought them out. One star out because of the staff. There is no queue system here. I was the second in line, the lady in front of me got service. So we should be next, but it wasn’t. The other two new
The atmosphere here is great, the food is awesome especially the strawberry shortcake. The best place to sit and read and watch people go by. It's well worth coming here when it's not busy.
Great cakes and savoury treats. The sandwiches are great and especially loved the white sesame cheese cake. So lovely! It’s a normal cafe vibe, clean and bright. Great smooth and friendly service and great tea and coffee. We’ll be back!
BEST BAKERY/PATISSERIE! The cakes are so full of flavour but SO light. We got a chocolate praline - which was DIVINE! We got a chocolate gateau - which was so light and yummy, not too sweet! Then a strawberry victoria sponge type slice - it’s lighter than air! I love this place for dessert.
This was such a cute little cafe, and I'm very glad we decided to pop in. We both had the strawberry cake and it was absolutely amazing. I regret not bringing some back with me. It was light and airy, the cream wasn't too much, it wasn't too sweet overall, I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was
Dog friendly cafe with super friendly and welcoming staff and delicious cakes! Had to wait a bit to get a table but it went quite smoothly. Clean toilets. Will visit again
This is the pllace I visit each time I visit travel to the West End which is most weekends. Exceptionally clean, great food and drinks including some lovely matcha options. Service is excellent and always with a smile. Quality is impressive as welll. The only down side is it is often very busy and s
Lovely Japanese patisserie and cafe, a heaven for matcha lovers but not just, since on offer are many specialty drinks and pastries that you'll hardly find elsewhere -- if at all. Each dessert is beautiful in presentation, and very carefully handled and served by the often overworked staff (since th
WA Cafe is one of my go-to cafes in London, especially their Covent Garden branch. They have amazing matcha drinks which I always crave for every month. Their desserts are all so good too.
