We arrived at about 11:45 on a Saturday and had to queue for approximately an hour to get in. Once in the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The service was quick and efficient and we didn't wait long for our food and drink at all. The food itself was beautifully presented and delicious. The pancakes were the highlight for me; thick, incredibly fluffy and almost cake-like. Certainly not like pancakes I've had anywhere else before. I'm not completely convinced it all justified the long queue, but with that said: I would certainly pop in again if, I were passing and they weren't so busy.
The food here never fails to disappoint! Full of flavour and lovely combinations, however the staff are not very friendly. It’s my third visit and each time the staff give uneasy looks, not many smiles and seem very unsettled by my toddler. Overall good place if you’re an introvert with no kids who just wants to eat good food and leave.
I am giving this place a 5 because of the food and drinks! For drinks, I had the lavender lemonade, which changed colors as I started pouring the lemon juice, which was really fascinating to see. I wouldn't recommend dumping all of the lemon juice at once into the lavender mix, which I unfortunately did, because it made the drink tasted like lemonade without lavender. Still good, though!
The créme brulee French toast was out of this world! I have never seen it made this way before but it made perfect sense why they did so. The créme anglaise went very well with the toast and the nuts (and caramel maybe) mixture which were used to resemble the contents in a semolina cake, making it both sweet and savory, so I could see this dish not counting as dessert, either, if they choose to do so. The croissant butter pudding was also excellent, with the flakey croissant offering a nice taste neutralization and texture enhancement to the custard, which was used to occupy majority of the dish. The pecan nuts were a nice touch as well, although not as much as the croissant.
The wagyu quesadilla allowed me to discover a combination that worked that I didn't previously know about: beef and muhamara. Dipping the beef and the tortilla in the muhamara sauce definitely elevated the dish's flavor, and offered some level of spice since muhamara should have roasted red pepper in it. The wagyu beef burger was also excellent not because of the beef itself, but because of everything that complemented the beef, especially caramelized onion and spicy mayo, both offering the beef well-rounded flavor combinations. I thought the beef itself wasn't the best, ans as a burger, it should solidify its role with its protein taste, so that was a slight minus, and all hail to the condiments on this one! The truffle scrambled eggs was soft and pleasant to eat, with no overpowering seasoning and the actual taste of black truffle coming through with the brioche bread. I think I enjoyed this savory dish the most!
Service wasn't the fastest and it seemed like they might be a bit either understaffed, because we had to wave down a waiter only to have a different one come to our table quite a few minutes later. The waiter we tried to wave down told us to wait for a bit when we initially called her. But that did not negate the quality of the food, and I will definitely recommend people visiting this establishment!
10/10 loved every bite! We ordered truffle eggs, shakshouka and coffee. Staff very friendly and attentive. Long line thu but definitely worth the wait
The location is worth the wait, can't deny that, but more than that, I was surprised by the tasty food.
I was curious about shakshuka, which was different from what I tasted before in other places. It was so delicious! The pancakes of the day had a velvet touch and a creamy forest fruits flavour. So good! From what I understand, the pancakes are different every day. So try it out!
I found this place on Instagram and needed to know if it lived up to the hype - I can confirm, it 100% does.
We went on a Saturday and there was a bit of a wait outside, but if you have brunch anywhere in london that’s a given. We weren’t in the queue for that long and we’re seated and had our order taken quite quickly.
The atmosphere was really nice, and the staff were super friendly! I ordered the pancake flavour of the day/month and had the crème brûlée latte which was so delicious.
I would definitely come here again! I also wish it had a booking service but that’s not much of an issue :) 5/5 stars!
The food was so delicious ...each bite literally burst flavours into your mouth.
each dish were presented in a very artistic attractive way.
however the place is extremely crowdy and you have to keep in line for an hour or so ( not suitable if you have to catch up on something at certain time).
Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant with apple tree in the middle and had a warm feeling. I had Avocado Halloumi Toast with Beetroot Moutabal, Fennel and pancake of the day. Every bite was melted into the mouth. Very good service highly recommend and worth to queue for it.
We’ve visited Apple butter Cafe back inJune 2023 and it was a nice visit ✨👍🏻 We’ve enjoyed great Arabic inspired food, place and atmosphere is amazing. I’d highly recommend falafel and Pancakes with berries compote 🥲
Just be ahead of time since ques are too long!😅
The food was really nice i had the halloumi on sourdough it was great, could have been a little less tough to cut but flavours were great! Service was good and the decorations inside were lovely.
Delicious breakfast.
Truffle eggs were the best dish out of the three, then eggs Florentine. The pancakes were good, as this week's flavour is sticky dates. It felt heavy with caramel sauce and tahini, but overall, it was a good pancake.
Oh I loved everything about this cozy cafe. The food was excellent! Waiters, nice. I am definitely going back and dragging friends and family with me :) Only advice, keep getting better.
