Love everything about this place!!! The garlic prawn is a must which went well with the bread! If they ask if you need some bread, please say yes! Food was flavourful and service was great! Would love to go there again!

Portuguese restaurant with a variety of tapas. It's great if you want to try out more dishes and share with others, there are several options available, from appetizers to fish and meat. The waiter was very friendly and explained the menu in detail.

Easily the best restaurant I’ve been to in the city. Very reluctant to give anywhere a 5 but Bar Douro comes pretty close. It was hard to find any flaws in the service or ambience and the food was top class. Favourite dishes include the salt cod hash, the croquettes, and the custard tart.

Douro offers a delightful Portuguese dining experience in a great atmosphere. The food is exceptional, capturing the flavors of Portugal with each bite. The staff, Rita, is attentive and passionate, providing excellent service. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in their authentic cuisine and create lasting memories. A must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of Portugal in London. Must try: pastel de nata!

An absolute hidden jam near Liverpool street, this is probably one of the best Portuguese dining experiences I have had in London. The food was superb. Croquettas were crispy and fresh, lamb was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sauces complimented so well with the dishes, it was addictive. The wine selection was decent and they offered the classic Abade de Priscos for dessert, which was delicious. The place was not very big but I found the white-blue tiles to be very aesthetically pleasing, creating a classy yet laid-back atmosphere. The service was quick and staffs were friendly. Highly recommend this place for any kind of occasions, you will not be disappointed.

Really enjoyed lunch here. We had a number of sharing plates. The cod fritters were creamy and light but fulfilling. The fish plates were all brilliant with tangy flavours. The service was good. Favourite has to be grilled cabbage and sea bas. Beautiful interiors and lovely outdoors space which I imagine is gorgeous in the summertime! Would come back for sure

It was wonderful dinner in Bar Douro City. Usually we had lunch/dinner in Bar Douro London Bridge, and decided to try different location today. We love the food and concept of these restaurants. Portuguese food is really delicious in each and every bite. Our favorites are bacalhao, prawns and pork neck. Chocolate mousse dessert is stunning. Definite recommend this place and we’ll come back again

I like! I’d say that this is a fun and comfortable place to come for a casual meal. The atmosphere is the right side of casual but with proper service and settings. We opted to sit at the bar which was good, I enjoyed looking into the kitchen. Our waitress was fantastic, very helpful and always there when we needed her without bothering us. The menu covers what you want: meat, seafood, veg and everything else in between. I really enjoyed the beef cheeks and cod hash, I had to order more of them as they were that tasty! It is pretty well priced, I mean what is these days! We didn’t explore the wine menu too much but my girlfriend was happy with the bottle of rose we ordered. We have been to the London Bridge location too, they both carry the great same standard. I’m sure I’ll be back.

If you are looking for genuine Portuguese cuisine in the City of London, then you can't far wrong with Bar Douro. Ask for Luisa whose recommendations will transform your dining experience here. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and fusion of flavours so will definitely be returning. Thank you to Luisa and colleagues for a highly enjoyable enjoyable Friday evening meal in Liverpool Street- highly recommended. Please don't just order, speak to the staff! You won't regret it.

We have dined here a couple times now. The food is outstanding without breaking the bank. While the menu is relatively small, it’s carefully curated to suit different preferences and every dish we had shined in its own way. Definitely recommended

A good option within (I think?!) the Square Mile. The pork with Bifana sauce was a particular highlight but no weak dishes from our selection. Only quibble might be that the prawns only come with 4 prawns for £15 - they were big but not huge! It also took a while for our final dish to arrive. Nice wine list and pleasant decor.

Great food, a bit salty but very flavourful! Fast service and the staffs periodically checks on you, which is nice while sitting outside! We had the cheese platter as well as other stuff + 2 bottle of wine. We sat outside with the dog, but the heating was on. Had a great time here, would def come back.

The experience of this “fancy Portuguese tapas” has left me wondering: We seat outside in a warm evening, the food was good, not “amazing” and in fairness being served sliced ham still in a wrapping paper wasn’t exactly “exotic” While dinning we also saw few mouse going up and down the small square and in between tables. The price point was way too high…service on the hand it was excellent and super kind.

Delicious food, plenty of outdoor space, brilliant service! There is so much to choose from and every plate was a delightful surprise - big fan of the prawns and broccoli dishes. They are a must try! The beef onglet also looked so delicious but it does take a while to cook (arrived 50 minutes after our first two dished). Great prices as between two of girls, ordered 5 plates and pudding and a bottle of wine only came to just over £40! Something to be mindful of is that the food comes out quite sporadically so it's a very slow-eating type of venue. We loved the relaxed vibe and definitely will come back to try out more dishes.

Absolutely delicious and beautiful food here. We had a bar seat with the best view of the kitchen 🤩 I love watching how our food were being prepared. These tapas-sized dishes were brilliant for less than 4 diners. My favourite dishes were crispy polenta, salt cod hash, grilled octopus with sweet potato and presa iberica. Love the crispiness of the polenta. The salt cod hash was rich in flavours with an interesting addition of olives. As a non olive eater, I thought they went really well with the dish and actually made it more enjoyable! The grilled octopus was very tender and a perfect match with the mashed sweet potato. Presa iberica, broad beans & pata negra ham was a mind-blowing dish. The broad beans cooked in the ham infused broth tasted heavenly. And of course the mouth watering tender presa iberica was the perfect meat with the broad beans. These were by far the best broad beans I've ever had! The dining atmosphere was comfortable, spacious and fairly quiet. Service was attentive and friendly. The prices were reasonable with the consistent quality of food. Overall, a great dining experience. I'd be coming back here for sure! Highly recommended!
