I personally wouldn't come back mainly because all dishes are somewhat spicy, with no option for non spicy in any of them. That said, I did enjoy the squid as a starter and having the lamb as a main. My colleagues who like it really hot, complained the food wasn't hot enough. So, if you like spicy,
Amazing food! We were lucky to get in early Saturday evening, even though we’d not booked we were offered one of the high bar tables. Staff were super friendly, could not have been more helpful. Food was absolutely lovely, full of flavour and can’t wait to go back! One of the managers came over af
Had an amazing dinner at the Hoppers yesterday. First time trying Sri Lankan food and loved it, we had no idea what to expect but everything tasted so good. For starters we had the devilled paneer which was nice and really spicy! Lamb kothu roti was also really good. We then had the chicken kari fo
Went in for a light dinner and ordered a few plates of starters. It was around 9pm and the restaurant was buzzing and still slightly busy - the experience was quite enjoyable. You must ask the waiter for their Banana leaf from the secret menu, it was absolutely delicious! We did ask for recommenda
Great food (albeit beware if you don't like spicy!). Also it is more of a tapas concept so it can add up to a fair bit but really tasty and well cooked food. Service was excellent - they advised us to get cheaper dishes and replaced a dish we dropped to the floor without a comment.
Just came home from King’s Cross Hoppers for my birthday. I had a difficult request. Prompt service, excellent food, beautiful ambience and everyone super attentive! Loved it! Will visit again. I was pleasantly surprised to see how they dealt with my request… my friends were super happy!
Hopper’s has three branches in London. We came to the one at King’s Cross for lunch on a weekend. It’s spacious with outdoor seating, lovely and friendly staff members. First time trying Sri Lankan cuisine, something I have never had before. It was an interesting experience. Initially I expected it
Sri-Lankan food done well ish….. and let me tell you why. Having travelled to Sri-Lanka and being very impressed with the food, I was very excited to try out this authentic restaurant, in the heart of Kings Cross. Let me start with the booking process. It was straight forward, but as we are a grou
Amazingly tasty food with super crispy roti. The dahl is a great texture to eat with the roti and hoppers. The dosas aren't served with chutneys so you have to order them separately which is a little strange as they are included at many other restaurants. Restaurant is always busy so can be loud in
This is possibly the best Sri Lankan food in London. The menu is not extensive, and the portions are not big, but everything in it is mouth-wateringly delicious. It feels like the home-cooking of my childhood, and instantly transported me back to Colombo. It is a beautifully decorated place and fee
went for dinner with friends. everything we ordered tasted great (egg hoppers, dosas, chicken and prawn karis, all the chutneys and sambal). very friendly staff and wonderful ambience just by the canal (glad we sat outdoors as the noise level indoors was very high when we passed on our way out!)
One of the only places in the area with space on a late Wednesday lunch, but happy to have stopped in. The dishes were all very tasty - creamy curries, paneer with a kick, and a nice balance of fresh ingredients and textures. Really enjoyed the kothu as a great take on street food that was a bit dif
Went here for a work meeting mixed with a few drinks! Amazing tasty food! Our waitress Kayla (might have got it wrong) was amazing helped out with diff options very knowledgeable. Amit the gent behind the bar helped out a lot with drinks great guy! Kayla & Amit are a huge assett to the company! Tha
We ordered the hot butter squid, prawn kari with basmati rice and my partner ordered the lamb kothuroti. The squid starter was flavourful and delicious. I really enjoyed the main prawn kari; the taste resembled those I had tried in Sri Lanka. It was a little spicy, but also delicious that I wanted t
Hoppers was our first Sri Lankan experience and we enjoyed it! The dishes were packed with flavour and deeply satisfying. The portions are small and even though it is suggested to order multiple items for sharing; main dishes such as the Kari weren't any bigger than the Drumsticks side but double t
