The supermarket has allot of variety and usually very fresh produce. A bit out of the way for us - but worth the drive.
But the real gem is the restaurant upstairs!
Like others have mentioned, ITS CASH ONLY.
So go prepared.
This family run restaurant is, without a doubt, the best Chinese I've had so far in London. The food is served hot and you can see it being made fresh.
Yes, there gentlemen serving tables does not speak much english, but I don't speak Chinese - LOL. And none of this matters because he was very patient and was over the top with service.
The portions are huge and I thought the prices very affordable.
The best thing for me is that THEY SERVE HO FUN NOODLES!!! One of the only places in London I've found so far to have them.
I will definitely be back next time I'm in London!
Apart from the supermarket which is very complete with plenty of ingredients to prepare everything you could imagine at a fair price, the best for me is the restaurant.
Omg I was feeling so so good and food delicious. It reminded me to my home town in Spain, very small rural village. I had the same feeling when in this restaurant. The owner didn't know too much English but enough to understand you, smile, typical oriental family doing their duty while attending us. To me it felt like if I was in China and a native family invited me for dinner at their house. Restaurant wasn't properly a restaurant as such because decoration was poorly but again it wasn't at all important to me. No need for booking, no waiting times, delicious food and good prices. It is written only cash but you can also pay by bank transfer.
Different experience. I felt like at home. Seriously.
Our to-go place for buying oriental products. Best thing is we always find halal products.
Heard this had re-opened after some time being closed and had heard the food was better than before - absolutely correct on both fronts. Arrived quite late, about 3pm, cash only so had to run off and get some - not an issue but worth noting. Excellent smaller selection of classic siu mei & dimsum with some rice and noodle dishes as well. Food was prepared quickly and was all delicious, especially the char siu, siu app and the soy sauce chicken. Very friendly staff, observing strict hygiene practices - would have been nice to have contactless but it's only just opened. Will be back
Large variety East and South East Asian groceries and products.
There's the added benefit of a Cantonese Cafe selling hot dim sum, rice and noodle dishes.
One of the cheapest Chinese supermarket in London with good standard produce and fresh seafood. Although the decor is dated compared to their competitors, but this does not affect the quality of their stock. The cafe upstairs serves delicious limited menu food. Unfortunately, today is their last day before they close for a few weeks during this lockdown due to reduced customer numbers.
Visited here around 5pm today (Friday) and was not busy and social distancing practiced well by all.
This shop is well stocked and prices are very competitive. I have also tried a roast duck noodle at the restaurant above but I don't think it is very good though.
Visited Hoo Hing on the north circular road, great selection of Chinese foods price is very good. Staff are very helpful. Will definitely return again
Good place to shop for oriental grocery, conveniently located just off the A406 North circular.
Fantastic shop. Love going here to get my chineese curry sauces. There's nothing they don't do when it comes to chineese/ Japanese foods. A great range of products. Very highly recommended.
Went to Hoo Hing specially for lunch and after shopping for. The new restaurant owners upstairs whose wife is the chef cooks very delicious foods at a reasonable price. You will not be disappointed wirh the food. Plus you can get all the chinese groceries downstairs after killing two birds with one stone. They are off the near hanger lane.
Has everything you could ever need and at better prices than the large supermarkets
Full range of Chinese products you can find here
Cafe open and it's a cafe NOT a restaurant. CASH ONLY is written everywhere in the cafe.
Supermarket has Interesting range. No layout/diagram and very poor aisle labelling if any. They would do well to look at wing yip for organisation.
Prices a bit lower than wing yip. Better variety of dumb sum. Not so good range of Chinese vegetables.
In an area about the same size as wing yip - it is surprising how much smaller it feels.
Exquisite food, especially the salt and pepper wings and the stir fried noodle with beef! Staff is super friendly. It does take a little long but the food is fresh and hot. Value for money!
