I've often gone out of my way to try some of the worlds best burgers. When I came to Big Fernando though it was only because the V&A museum cafe was so busy.
Not expecting much I got their signature burger with a beer and was blown away by how good it was.
I'm not normally a fan of brioche buns but this one wasn't too sweet but still soft and light enough not to interfere with any of the flavors of the burger.
The staff and kitchen served it at just the right temperature for consumption with the cheese still melting throughout.
The atmosphere and nice weather just added to the overall experience of eating at this restaurant.
Nearly perfect burgers and very decent fries.
The meat is premium, juicy and rich with flavour! But the buns are a bit too crumbly. This is a very minor nit-pick otherwise everything is amazing there including service and the overall atmosphere.
Dropped by this place for a dinner after museums and were positively surprised! Amazing burgers and very reasonably priced. Would recommend. We were lucky to have a table without reservation, but would recommend reserving
Do visit Big Fernand if you’re in the South Kensington area. The burgers are beyond delicious cooked with French cheese and the French fries are so good too. I had the Raclette one and it was out of this world! On top of the excellent food, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Top experience 👍🏼
Best burger me and my partner have had in ages. Lovely soft, freshly baked bun, perfectly cooked, juicy burgers and raclette cheese straight off the wheel. The flavours are divine and if you go for the lunch deal it's £15 for any burger, fries (homemade) and drink. The staff are also really friendly, and kindly gave us a free drink and money off the bill following our feedback to them!
Apparently they'll be opening more in the UK soon and we can't wait.
I had a great dinner at Big Fernand. I had the Le Raclette with the paprika/garlic seasoned fries. The burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff was incredibly sweet. They made me feel very welcome when I felt so far from my home in America. Absolutely recommend this place. Also the crème brûlée was wonderful! Thank you!
For the similar price of a five guys, this place gives you a much tastier burger. Bread and cheese were excellent, although there is no choice on how well done the beef is cooked.
Small menu but ample - seating inside and two tables outside. The food is tasty, you can really taste the ingredients in the burger. The raclette fries were yummy. Omg the chicken pieces were really crispy. Asked for extra sauces and ice which were not a problem. Jayden our server was really friendly and helpful. Great place to nip in for a bit to eat.
Probably the best burger I’ve ever eaten! I have no idea why but it was fresh and seasoned perfectly and loved every bite! The fries are solid too and the service is friendly and fantastic.

The Le Raclette burger was very tasty and full of flavour!
The Panko Coated Chicken Pieces were crispy and breaded, however, I felt the chicken itself needed to be season, quite plain
The paprika and garlic were, but too heavy on the garlic
The BBQ sauce, you can tell is home made and was on point!
The deserts were flawless! Cream burlee was amazing and the combination of lemon and meringue was really nice!

Got the lunch deal, which for £15 gets you a burger, a drink and some fries.
Portion sizes were good, but the fries and burgers were undersalted. Especially the paprika fries, which would have been amazing with chilli salt. There are salt shakers on the table so I'm not sure if this is intentional or not.
It's pretty good for the deal, but not sure we'd come back without it.
My wife and I visited this place yesterday. Everything was so good, so I even went to ask staff names. Meet for burgers were cooked deliciously, juicy and just good quality. Thanks, Aaliyah, for the tasty food Adriana served us so kindly and quickly, and JJ has been just friendly and boost our mood.
Very good food with a little and comfy outdoor seating. The burgers were on point and the server, Emma, was very helpful explaining the different options and giving recommendations.

Great, if rather similar burgers served in a funky little joint.
The restaurant is quite small and feels a bit cramped. Downstairs seating is available but also a bit cramped.
The burgers themselves are excellent - however they all do taste rather similar, not much variation in taste. Chicken burger was particularly of note. Nice.
Came here with a friend for a quick dinner before the Cirque du Soleil show on a Wednesday night.
Glad we managed to snatch the last available table as it was very busy at 6pm already! You can order via table service or via their app which you scan a QR code with your phone, taking you to the page to order your food. I got the Le Jura burger and a raclette fries to share with my friend. Wow, the burger was probably one of the better ones I have had in London so far - strong and rich cheese and a nicely done, medium burger patty which wasn't dry or chewy, combined with the refreshing flavour of dried tomatoes it was very flavourful. The raclette fries were great, crispy and hot and were so tasty with raclette cheese on top to add a whole other level of flavour.
Service was good and quick. Atmosphere is definitely good for all kinds of occasions, family gatherings, dates or hangouts. Am definitely happy to come back soon!
Really nice place with good burgers, specially if you like cheese! The service was great! The only thing is that the patty was a little bit blant ,but very well cooked! 5 stars , because everything else from the bun to the chips and cheeses was phenomenal!
