Unsurprisingly given its connection to the splendid chain of Spanish food shops, Brindisa Kitchen is superb. A simple one page menu of tapas, quickly prepared and beautifully presented. I had the chicken & cardamom pintxos, the fried hake and the manchego fries, with a glass of Albariño. Couldn't fault anything - perfectly cooked, crispy without being crunchy, packed with flavour.
Loved their "Bamboo" cocktail (which I had to start with while scanning the menu) - featuring white vermouth, fino sherry and orange bitters, served on ice in a rocks glass. I'd forgotten how refreshing sherry can be in hot weather - and that cocktail was a perfect start to a beautiful lunchtime indulgence in this food haven that's a reinvigorating refuge from the bustle of Borough Market whilst simultaneously being right in the middle of it.
Fun fabulous place to people watch and kitchen watch. Excellent wines and great to watch what people ordered excellent and friendly service
Had fried calamari, fried fish, breads, excellent Manchego cheese, salamis and chillies
Great spot in the middle of Borough Market, great for people watching and experiencing the hustle and bustle of the market with a seat! Menu is pretty limited, I couldn’t understand why the takeaway on the side did croquettes and chorizo rolls but if you were sat down this wasn’t available. The food was tasty but quite expensive for the size. The manon wine was very good and I would come back for lunch.
If you want great tapas surrounded by the buzz and chaos of the market then this is the place. The service is surprisingly personal with moments of insight on the food shared without hesitation and the taste of the dishes as good as you'd expect in a Spanish tapas bar. I loved the sherry offered, and the black pudding dish made with Spanish rice surprised and won out over the equally delicious Spanish tortilla of the day and fried mixed fish.
A cosy Spanish tapas bar in the open of the market that matches great food with great service and a surprisingly cosy atmosphere given its location.
Perfect for a few bites, drinks or a romantic moment.
I have been all over Spain and their chorizo tortilla is one of the best I have ever tasted!!
Welcoming friendly staff and wonderful tapas. I had char grilled onions (can't remember the correct name but they're like giant spring onions) with a dip, they were gorgeous, whilst husband had a large bowl of seafood. Thoroughly enjoyable experience and good food , excellent.
Visited Brindisa at Borough Market Wednesday 11th, they seemed to be packed and buzzy but to my surprise there was only 2 people working there!
It was very cool to see them work, almost if they were dancing in complete harmony
They made me wait a bit on an outer counter until a spot was available at the seating counter, when the food started to come out I was impressed, quick and delicious, bright colours and very appealing.
Service was as good as it gets and the atmosphere was just right for a spanish bar in a buzzy market!
I definitely recommend trying this hidden gem
The food is amazing. The ambience is great, with enjoyable Spanish music playing in the background. The staff is very efficient and friendly, going above and beyond to provide a great experience. Will definitely be back!
Wonderful welcome, superb vermouth, mouth watering tapas. The orange blossom honey with peach, goats cheese & smoked anchovy was a delight to the senses. Thank you so much folks - we’ll be back 🥰
Great service. We just got a whole jamón serrano leg. The guy at the counter was very helpful and friendly. He answered all our questions and gave us good tips on how to cut it and keep it fresh
I was there for lunch yesterday, Saturday 19 March, and the food was phenomenal. I cannot praise the food enough. Everything was delicious and well executed. I hope to live to taste the quince and almond tart again. My only complaint would be the noise. There is no need for "music" indoors; despite sitting at a table with two companions, I could hear almost nothing of the conversation.
Sat at the bar and served with a smile and helpful menu translation. Lovely whitebait and bavette steak. Not crowded or hussled by shifting crowds. An enjoyable brunch
great staff. when you go, try the chicken and cardamom pintxo (skewers)
A bit limited menu but nice food and place. Good cook and very friendly manager.
Visited on 23/11/22, very good food and service, we will definitely be back!
