After trying the Chai Petit Gateau, 100% Pistachio Canape and a Chocolate Lover Cookie with the Too Good To Go App, I do recommend this place if you want posh cakes.
They are all quite rich. The Gateau and Canape weren't too sweet.
The Chai Petit Gateau is a blueberry sponge, pistachio dacquoise with assam tea mousse. The 100% Pistachio Canape is a pistachio financier, pistachio cream and pistachio sable.
It was busy when I went on a Thursday evening. I queued for about 10 minutes. It is very small inside and perhaps probably better on a cooler day as the fan wasn't that effective.
The girl who served me was friendly and even though she was super busy, remained patient and smiling.
The patisserie is a few minutes from Covent garden market, around the corner from the Transport Museum. I'd recommend the Too Good To Go App too if you want to save money and see if you like the cakes. I see why this place has great reviews. These are exxy but according to its website, they use quality ingredients.
A nice place. :) Small but impressive.👌 Desserts are very delicious.🤤 The size of the desserts may seem small, but believe me, they are so delicious that it gives more pleasure than a big slice of cake. Staff is very positive. I like here. If you're here, definitely give it a try!
We love Craquelin, we've been back a few times as it's an affordable indulgence and small enough that you don't feel like you have to spend an hour on the treadmill to make up for it. Everything we've had here has been delicious and they usually have seasonal additions. It's a small café but we've always found out place by the window.
Were looking for some decent coffee and decided to give it a try, and when I saw my favorite flavor of pistachio pastry I had to try that too. I was not disappointed. The coffee was what I would expect at a high end coffee shop and the pastries were absolutely delicious! We came here every day and quality was consistently the same. People working at the coffee shop were very friendly and very professional. You get a real treat when you here.
I love this place! Such a nice little shop and they sell a some of the greatest tasting desserts I’ve had in my life! Wonderfully tasting & beautifully crafted, I couldn’t recommend enough! The woman who works there is really nice too! If you’re reading this review and thinking about trying it then don’t even think again, go for it!
Beautifully decorated and nice patisserie shop. Amazing cakes, matcha latte and friendly staff. The pistachio canapé was great, strong on the pistachio side and not too sweet. Very nice balanced flavour. The Chai petit gateau was also good, but would be better if it was heavier in the taste of Chai or Assam. Personally would recommend the pistachio canapé more. I love the size of desserts especially so you won’t feel too guilty about the calories after eating. And they make really good matcha latte with large portion of cups!
Would recommend a visit to this place to get your sweet cravings fixed if you’re around.
Serving delicious coffee and pastries. Easily one of the best choux pastries I've had, the Paris Brest Choux. Creamy hazelnut praline in a delicate shell.
Coffee was also excellent, one of the better places in London. Although they didn't have soy, almond was a good alternative. Coffee flavour was rich in depth, with hints of dark chocolate and honey. Delightful!
I had the lemon canapé and the Paris-Brest Choux. They were both delicious. The Paris-Brest choux was my favourite of the two, lovely hazelnut flavour. Perfect size that allows you to try multiple flavours if you so desire.
I come here regularly and everything is so perfect about this place. They offer too good to go here, which is really useful to me. I always recommend going here to all of my friends and family visiting London.
Firstly, the staff are always really polite and friendly. This is really noticeable so thank you for making me feel welcome on every visit. The hygiene is great too, no shortcuts anywhere, products are covered by glass and the staff are using gloves. Everything is handled with great care and attention. The store itself is really beautiful, from the flowers presentation outside to the pristine layout inside.
The desserts themselves are just so unbelievably perfect. I never get the sickly feeling after eating them, as I do with most desserts that are sweet/too heavy. They have such an amazing combination of flavours and the presentation speaks for itself really: immaculate and made with love. When I tried here for the first time, I was really shocked desserts could be this good, as I usually prefer savoury/salty foods. I’ve tried almost all of the desserts, and there isn’t a single one that wasn’t excellent. My personal favourites are: Paris-Breat Choux, caramel petit gateau and pistachio canapé.
Looking forward to visiting again, keep doing what you’re doing! Thanks again :)
Out of all the mainstream places for desserts, it is difficult to sift through the click baits of Social Media and find a patisserie that truly pleases your sweet tooth.
This place offers one of the best in London. I’m quite picky with food in general and when it comes to dessert, I prefer the ones that are mild. Every item was a careful amalgamation of flavour, texture and sweetness. The canapés, cheesecakes and the sable are my favourites, and I recommend you to visit early in the evening to avoid missing them.
