One of the best meals I’ve ever had; been to a few Michelin restaurants and this is the most memorable. Very intimate setting and every dish is wonderfully explained; the menu is cleverly structured with a story behind every dish. Will definitely be going back and would expect this to gain a second Michelin star soon.
We loved the whole experience at Muse including the food (and the story behind each dish), the service and atmosphere. The restaurant is split across three levels and each level was small yet intimate. We sat on the middle floor at the counter where the hot food was being made, which I think is the best spot to see all the chefs in action. It was a beautiful space yet still felt relaxed which I enjoy most when going to high end restaurants. The 10 course tasting menu is priced at £170 and we also got the scallop supplement for £30. My favourites were all the snacks, the lobster, trout and cuttlefish but honestly everything was delicious. The service was very attentive and polished. I definitely recommend coming here!
We had the most wonderful experience at Muse by Tom Aikens.
Very small intimate restaurant with attentive and friendly staff.
The food was exceptionally good all the dishes were of such a high standard. Couldn't fault any of it.
We've been lucky enough to eat in other high end restaurants and this is the best. Would love to come back and try a different seasons menu.
Best restaurant in London that we tried, we did a chefs table lunch which was a great experience. The kitchen team/ sommelier were so nice but the food was top notch.
My only thing which I would say wasn’t to my liking was the all white dish but I could appreciate the thought and creativeness behind it. Thanks Tom and Team.
The best Michelin starred restaurant in London! Been here twice and was blown away by the flavor and service both times. Will definitely come back again. The servers are all super friendly and down-to-earth. We also had the pleasure of watching Tom Aikens work his magic in the kitchen during our second visit.
The 6-course lunch tasting menu at Muse by Chef Tom Aikens was an unforgettable journey that embraced both palate and soul.
The duck course, a pinnacle of flavors, stood out as a testament to Chef Aikens' skill. The succulent and well-flavored duck was a masterpiece, elevating the entire tasting experience. The artful progression of courses maintained an air of suspense, enticing anticipation for what each subsequent plate would reveal.
The impeccable service provided by Julien and Marco added an extra layer of charm. Their attentive guidance through the menu, coupled with a warm and accommodating demeanor, accentuated the overall enjoyment.
The symphony of flavors, complemented by impeccable service, transforms a meal into an enchanting memory. For those seeking a symphony for the senses.
Everything was just right - the state-of-art food, the service, the wine pairing, the nice and attentive staff.
I came here for dinner to try the tasting menu and was seated at the bar counter on the Ground floor in front of the cold plates station with Kevin. A very welcoming and pleasant experience, very different to other fine dining tasting menu Michelin Stars that I have been at. The staff members are super friendly, and I really did appreciate it. Most dishes have interesting distinctive flavour and a story/muse to it. My favourite dish was the monk fish called “worth the wait” and one of the dessert called “wait and see” which was incredible. The 3 starters at the beginning was absolutely delicious also. Highly recommend and would I go back? Yes - for the next season menu to try it out or even maybe for a special occasion.
Muse by Tom Aikens is an eight course, or five if you so choose, beautifully plated journey through Chef Tom’s memory.
From moment you cross the threshold into the restaurant, the thought and care behind the experience is palpably evident.
I went with both the classic wine pairing and the longer, eight course lunch tasting menu. The whole affair lasted over three hours. I had the privilege to sit at the chef’s counter and watch the kitchen at work.
My favourite course is “Total Black Out” which is a cuttlefish centred dish. Perfectly hashed and flamed torched, the cuttlefish sat on a bed of cuttlefish risotto and surrounded by one of the best broths I think I’ve ever had.
One of the desserts presented was a Laphroaig gummy. I wish I had a metric ton of them; it was so good.
Tom Aikens is one of my favourite British chefs. He is a very talented chef. We had the lunch tasting menu. The restaurant is located in a quiet mews with no name signing outside but easy to find . We came half an hour early and received a warm welcome and we were seated quickly. The canapé " forever picking" was full of flavours like a bomb immediately opened our appetite. Then we had " making breaking" sourdough with fermented butter and mushroomy butter with puffy crunchy rice. They were like cellos playing soothing music to comfort our stomach. We were very satisfied. The main dishes were skate fish and pork. The best dish of the day was their dessert: An apple a day. Wow what a dish! Layer after layer of different flavours and ice cream with caramelized sugar how clever is that!
Overall , we had a good time here , and we will come back soon for dinner!
