Very nice cozy place on Stoke Newington High Street. We chose to eat in, they had plenty of empty tables to pick. Lovely decoration with lots of books on shelves. After seated we got a bottle of mint-lemon infused water. Not long after order we received our food which was amazing, tasty and looked nice on the plate. As my son said: 10 out of 10. Upon leaving ordered a takeaway coffee as well. Recommend to try!!!
The food was amazing and the staff really friendly. The decor is charming, with a lot of books surrounding the room.
It is pet friendly so is the ideal place if you want to bring them with you
This is my local. Come here almost every day even if it’s just for a cup of tea because the staff are just so lovely and welcoming every time. It’s the highlight of my daily walk! Food is also fantastic, whether you’re taking a way a cinnamon roll or avocado sandwich or dining in - there’s something for everyone and it’s 10/10 across the board. Great spot for weekend brunch or weekday remote working with their fab coworking space upstairs which I’m still yet to try!
A small independent restaurant with friendly and quick waiting staff, we ordered a light and quick lunch consisting of their salt beef burger and a mezzo platter, both tasted incredibly fresh and unique compared to other restaurants offering similar cuisine. As for the atmosphere, it was cozy but due to popularity was quite crowded and loud. Aside from those minor imperfections, everything was on point! The waiting staff even gave us tips on what to order. On the pricing side of things, it is quite affordable, costing us around 12 PP without drinks or desert included. Will definitely be returning!
Food was really good and delicious, we had the French toast which was yummy and Palastain breakfast and it was really good. Kids loved their croissants
Wonderful place. Food was interesting and flavoursome. The coffee was also great, at least the beans because the preparation could have been better. Service is kind and attentive.
Decent brunch spot in the heart of Stoke Newington. Traditional brunch with a Mediterranean twist. The french toast was a unique combination of flavours - Nutella and a berry compote with what tasted like beetroot (?) but it worked. The Damascus was interesting. Really enjoyed the merguez sausage and the hummus. I think there was too much salad on the plate so not sure if I’d be quick to order again. Would love to try the hackney feast.
Seating is very limited approximately 24-30 seats. You can park near by on a weekend as permit parking is only from Monday-Friday.
Found this place when I was looking for cafes to read at! The decor is cute with shelves of books everywhere. The actual interior was quite small. The food and coffee were decent!
I go here every time I'm in London. Love this place. I always get the shakshuka and sit by the window. Pleasant people watching. Neighborhood spot where the staff has a little chat with the various customers - very hospitable folks. Vegan and vegetarian options.
Amazing breakfast! Coffee not as nice imo. Lots of regulars which is really creating a nice atmosphere. Had to work on finishing the plate. That's a good size breakfast!
I love this place, delicious food, the best coffee I’ve had and the customer service is on point never disappoints! Love the menu and have probably tried all the dishes and have to say they are all tasty and well put together. I’m definitely a regular!
Loved this place. Excellent service and good food.
We were a group of six people; two of us arrived early and had to wait for the others to arrive. Staff were very accommodating in allowing us to wait despite the fact that it was the weekend and they needed the table to turn!
The barista greeted us from behind the coffee machine!
I appreciate their charitable support for war children because my childhood was also affected by the war!
Very friendly service and an interesting fusion Middle Eastern menu. We tried the French toast with tahini and home made jam (pictured). The flavours really worked well! We will be back to try other items on their menu.
What a fantastic place to have a meal and relax! Just been to 215 Hackney and tried their Damascus plate with home made houmous, mergeuez, salad, eggs, pitta etc. This was a healthy, filling and super delicious meal, exactly what I've been looking for for a few days while staying in London. I also had their haloumi in vine leaves and brownie which were mouth watering. But the place itself and people who work here are simply the best staff I ever encountered in London. Darina is making this place, she's a super star! So friendly and relaxed and looking after their customers so well! I felt like I went to see friends for meal and I only met her today for the first time! I also heard the owner has been offering free meals during the lockdown, they also sell second-hand books from which profits go to charity, which makes this place even a bigger gem and I will definitely be back here again! Stay the way you are guys! 👍👏
What a cosy welcoming cafe in the heart of Hackney! I had the opportunity to visit on a day out with family, and was thrilled with every aspect of 215 ( customer service, atmosphere, food etc …)!! We had a variety of delicious options to choose from the breakfast menu but, I decided to go with the French toast which arrived super quickly and extremely fresh, it was definitely filling and delicious. For drinks I prefer a double shot latte and I must say the coffee is something I will surely be returning for!! I would recommend 215 to everyone looking to enjoy quality time with family and also food and atmosphere!! We will be back soonnnn !!
Amazing food. All very fresh and great quality. Group of 5 of us came for breakfast and everyone really enjoyed it. Definitely worth a try. Friendly service and great coffee. We will definitely come back and look forward to trying the lunch menu.
The best hummus I've ever eaten! Staff is super friendly, it's a cosy place and the food is delicious!
Wonderful place ! Delicious and fresh Brunch on Saturday! Worth travelling out for, 215 Hackney is probably the best value for money dining experience I have had living in London. The portions are enormous, vibrant and healthy! The interior has is welcoming, and had a lovely character with books staked all around. The staff are delightful and kind and very attentive. We will definitely come back again very soon.
