What a fabulous gem of a restaurant. I went here for my birthday, and got a takeaway for my anniversary, and both times the food was amazing. When we were in the restaurant we chatted with the owners who are lovely, made us feel so welcome, and made great recommendations (the apple martini was delightful!). The takeaway arrived quickly, beautifully presented, and was still hot!
The mini kebabs are to die for, and the salad they come with is so tasty. I’ve had two burgers from them - the super seeder shamembert and the hash brown one, both amazing. My flexitarian fiancé said the hash brown burger was hands down the best veggie burger he’s ever had. The rosemary fries were delicious too. And my god the lotus biscoff cheesecake, it was so decadent and creamy and tasty, amazed it’s vegan.
So happy to have this amazing local vegan place, and when they reopen I’m definitely going to look at buying some of their vegan cheeses! Overall, absolutely recommend!
Had a very good meal here last night! I went for the (Superceder??) Burger, and my partner got the Mushroom Curry. Her dish was good but I think mine topped it slightly! Loved the chocolate fudge cake too. Also a good range of Beers (Inc BrewDog) and other Spirits! Friendly staff.
The perfect vegan bistro for Crouch End! Excellent customer service. Dog friendly too which is always a plus - they even gave us dog treats! Overall banging food & great atmosphere.
Plenty of gluten free options. Delicious food. Lovely staff! My only request would be a bigger range of gf desserts please! I had kebab skewers and a burger which came in a gf pitta bread - I actually kind of enjoyed the burger with less bread!
New much needed vegan place in the area, Supplant is exceeding the expectations. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, staff is friendly and helpful, and - oh my - metal straws in the drinks. While they have different menu for lunches and dinners, both offer great choice, and have Beyond meat burgers in it. Choice of desserts, salads, brunches, drinks is modest but should accommodate most - even those who strive for a milkshake.
We ordered two burgers, and they were very good, well balanced, with a salad or fries in the side. Both salad and rosemary fries were great, too. We haven't had a chance to try the dessert selection, unfortunately - but we will tell you about it next time.
Great food. Great customer service. Excellent staff. Calm ambience. Cant wait to try their evening menu. Hidden Gem in Crouch end.
Wonderful atmosphere and attentive yet unobtrusive staff. The food was exceptional. And they are happy to provide advice and input. Would happily recommend.
Love this place. The food is amazing. I couldn't recommend it more.
Great menu, delicious vegan food, cakes and coffee! Very kind staff and beautiful interiors. They do brunch and dinner 😊
Love Supplant! Good variety of food choices, lovely staff and nice atmosphere in a small-ish restaurant. I've had the burger, two different pies and lasagne here so far and all have been really good! The fries are addictive too. Vegan Camembert was glorious! Highly recommend. It is slightly on the pricey side, but it's worth it for high quality vegan food, with lots of choice. Also good cocktails!
One of the best meals we've had in a long time! So refreshing to be able to enjoy a fully vegan three course meal and have every element be just as good as the next. Jo and Jeremy provide such wonderful service, I can't recommend Supplant enough! We can't wait to go back!

Before Quarantine: I ate here before quarantine and it was so lovely! The food is incredible.
They really care about their customers and the lady owner is the most friendly and patient lady.
After quarantine: We just got some take-away because of quarantine and it was just a lovely. I thoroughly recommend to everybody.
I’m slowly working my way through their menu, but the classic burger with cheese is delicious.
Absolutely loved our meal here.
Really tasty! The burger was unbelievable, so meaty. We also had the hotdog which tasted exactly like any hot dog I've ever had.
Looking forward to trying more off the menu. They have a brunch and evening meal menu.
Welcome to the area guys. Thanks for providing options for all.
This is a lovely little bistro and bar tucked neatly away in Crouch End. The staff are really friendly and inviting and they have an excellent ethos. They have a small vegan menu which means everything they offer is made to perfection. I highly recommend the superseder burger - you won't believe how good it tastes!!
Crouch End is very lucky to have such an ecological and ethical place to eat out. I ordered a take away for the family. The whole staff were really accommodating as I they allowed me to order the dinner menu at lunchtime. The food was delicious. My partner is a great vegan cook and she was really impressed by the mushroom curry. We look forward to eating there with our non vegan friends to show them that a plant based diet is something we can all enjoy just like our animal friends enjoy eating their plants. Supplant is100% Vegan (like us) and 100% organic (like us)!
This may have been one of the best burger experiences I've had, including meat burgers! Had the classic burger and the southern fried burger, tasty, moist, generous, fresh, nothing to critique. Plus the aussie pie and mac cheese pie, so rich and tasty. Will definitely buy all of these again!
I bought my wife here for our wedding anniversary to try something different as we are not vegans or vegetarian. The food was was absolutely delicious from starters through to afters. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we both really enjoyed our experience. Even if you aren't a vegan I highly recommend you go here.
the cozy restaurant is a fantastic add on to the crouch end community . it suits dates as well as a chatty night out with friends. the food is absolutely delicious - it doesn't happen often that my Gluten Free Boyfriend gets full and satisfied after being to a restaurant that claims to be GF. but this gem is fantastic ! and yummy wine
Upgrading my review from a three to a five. I kept the initial reasons for the three below so the reply makes sense and it may answer some questions of other people walking by with the same thoughts as me.
New review part: Pre lockdown now, I went for a meal there in the evening and the food was delicious (mmmmm), the serving staff were really friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was relaxing and cosy. Looking forward to going there again when it is opens up for sit downs!
Initial review was not based on the food but accessibility. I would love to go in but I have a pram (as do my baby mum friends) and the entrance and sitting arrangements aren’t spacious or moveable, so if I could comfortably get the pram in the door, I can’t sit in the first half of the restaurant at least (haven’t seen the back). Maybe this makes business sense as baby’s with prams take up space they may not want to lose.
The previous business there had a much more spacious, thus welcoming, front area of house.
