Great service from the Village Pizzeria. Had the Calamari and cheesy garlic bread to start.
Calamari was sodt and not over cooked and the tatar sauce was well made. Seasoning on the calamari was nice as well.
The garlic bread was nice, not too greasy and a very nice size to share between 2 or 3.
The seafood risotto was well made and not stingy on the seafood. One bit of overcooked squid but considering that there wasn't a problem with anything else it's easily forgivable.
The spaghetti carbonara was lovely and rich and creamy with a very nice portion. Zero problems with that and definitely one to try.
The prawn linguine was nice and again they weren't stingy with the prawns.
The Margherita pizza was well made and you can see they put extra care into making the dough and toppings.
For dessert the strawberry gelato was all that you could want from it and tasted loads of strawberries.
The chocolate fudge cake was rich and melt and a lovely way to end the evening.
Such a shame we couldn't get the profiteroles.
Overall a lovely family experience and will definitely come back πππ»

Delicious pasta with prawns and vegetarian too. Tasty pizza
Decent local restaurant, good pizzas and pasta. Doubled up on cocktails during happy hour (before 7?) which was a nice surprise. Card payment system was down, which we found out about after ordering, but we found a cash machine not too far away. Worth a shot it you're in the area π
Italian restaurants and recipes online always attract the plastic Italian brigade, keen to demonstrate that they know exactly the right kind of cured meat should go in a carbonara or the authentic toppings of a pizza. When it comes to a place like this, those people are to be ignored. It's a solid local restaurant. The service is good, the pizzas are decent, the pasta is simple and tasty, and our children love it.
We pre arranged a large delivery order for a joint 3yo birthday party - 15 odd pizzas plus some sides. Village pizzeria were amazing - sorted the delivery, arrived on time, all lovely and hot. Went down a treat!
This is an excellent restaurant. It is good value for money and the food is of a very good standard. All the staff and the owner are welcoming and always with a friendly smile. Good customer service. I have recommended this restaurant to my friends and brought them here and they were not disappointed!
Great pizza and delicious mixed fried fish.
Nice, unfussy, local Italian. The Pizza is a highlight. Also the zuccini fries are a nice starter. The interior is a bit dated and odd. And the bathrooms could do with an update. But the staff are very friendly and it's good for families. Unpretentiouse/what you see is what you get kind of place.
We've been coming here for over 25 years. During this time it has changed hands a number of times but the menu pretty much stays the same. Good fresh food, reasonably priced. Not too fussy but not down market either. The staff were friendly and the busy restaurant made fir a nice atmosphere. Great for couples and families.
This is our local and I visited with a friend after drinks at The Nags. The service is good and the food came quickly. My friend said her pasta and I enjoyed my pizza. Price was reasonable and we'll certainly be back as it's a nice place to end the evening.
Our favourite village restaurant. Pastas are great, even better than the pizza for us! Lasagne is excellent. Service is great, it feels like a nice local restaurant. We visit regularly.
