This was the 2nd bar in the "Best Bars 2022" list. My expectations were pretty high. The concept of the place is absolute minimalism. All cocktails look very simple, monotone colors(some looks like a glass of water), glasses are simple, really elementary as the name suggests. Cocktails were tasty 100%, but not outstanding. I expected more really.
Also we got some snacks, they were tasty too.
Thought it was interesting that most of the drinks were on tap but they’re still solid options. Food is Asian fusion and is well executed - really enjoyed the Korean fried cauliflower.
Drinks at elementary were good.
Drinks at Tayer were also v good.
Atmosphere is nice with upbeat music.
Every interaction I had with the staff was friendly and professional.
All questions about food and drink answered efficiently.
Would recommend.
Ranked the Number 2 bar in the world in 2022, we went here very early in the evening to try and get a seat. The bar gets very busy in the evenings, particularly later in the week. The menu is very interesting and there is a lot to try. The servers and bartenders were very helpful and friendly with all their recommendations. The bar has a modern vibe and communal seating. We Loved it and recommend it to anyone in London. Very close to Old Street tube station.

The cocktail menu at Tayer + Elementary is a true work of art. Each drink is thoughtfully crafted with unique flavor combinations and top-notch ingredients. I would definitely recommend the "Elementary" at the entrance as far as drink quality goes. We tried the One Sip Martini, Jasmine Mai Tai, and Bergamot Margarita which were all really great. The "Tayer" in the back has a much better bar and vibe but not impressed by the drinks and their higher price point. It's too bad they don't offer both menus in the back. Service is great.
Personally I dont have the credential to comment on their alcohol. But lets speak about the cheesecake. Its an absolutely crazy concoction.
Firstly they used blue cheese. what a radical choice yet it enhanced the texture and the strength of the flavours. But not at all overwhelming with the distilled fig ice cream accompanied by the caramelised fruit body at the bottom. Its such a simple dessert but there were so much nuance when you delve into the nitty gritty- the layers of flavours and textures were so delicately made. I loved it:)

This place is just incredible. The flavour combinations in both food and drink are extraordinary, and the space is usually busy but not in any way cluttered. The detail exceptional.
Each drink is made with thought and care, and designed to provide a flavour journey. Try the cauliflower and the oysters, food-wise—- you won’t regret.
If I could give it 6 stars I would. All of the cocktails were amazing! They are premixed so they are served super quickly. The flavors are inventive and fresh. The servers are friendly and helpful.
The kitchen opens a few hours after Elementary and Tayēr opens later as well but it’s all worth the wait.
Incredible cocktails. Had the opportunity to go into the “VIP” area behind the curtain: even better cocktails. The drinks are so well done that the alcohol blends in perfectly with its accompaniments and you’re enjoying the drink without realizing you’re getting drunk! The margarita is an all time favorite. Don’t be frightened as it comes looking like a glass of water 😳

Cocktails whilst pre-made are excellent allowing a quick service which is appreciated. The food is really tasty and there is a good vibe with good music without being too loud. Would recommend.

Had 4 cocktails drinks... each had its own unique take and flavors, so well balanced and complex... delicious
The ambience was quite simple with a long stretch of table sat full of people enjoying themselves
The staffs were attentive and friendly as well. Do come if you love cocktails!

It was an amazing experience. I went with my friend and we really enjoyed the moment. The cocktails were amazing. We never tried something like that. We will be back for sure 😁
Cocktails are absolutely delicious. The staff were either wonderful (bouncer and welcoming staff) but the waitress who ended up serving us at the table was super abrupt and frankly just rude. A tallish brunette taking care of the long table on the left side of the room. She refused to give us the snack mix unless we finished the last 3 nuts in the little bowl. A bit of a joke really especially when the kitchen was already closed and we already ordered quite a few drinks between us.
Tāyer + Elementary is a great meeting spot for a night of cocktails. However the atmosphere and set up make it hard to stay there. Uncomfortably close bar seating coupled with aggressively attentive bar staff mean there’s little privacy. It’s good for a 1-1 chat but groups would struggle. Cocktails appear so fast they are clearly pre-mixed. And while they’re all good - very good in fact - the atmosphere cheapens it and makes the experience a bit like fast food.
But perhaps that’s complaining about it being something it never wanted to be. As a start point or a quick, classy meet up spot, T+E does really well.
Amazijg cocktail bar, luckily got invited to Tayēr but couldnt go, but tried ancocktail of elementary, absolutely amazing. Only bad thing is that the first server that served us felt cocky to us and wasnt real good, but after that another server served us and wasnincredible.

The spot is split between Elementary, a simpler open bar concept at the front & Tayer, a more experimental cocktail bar in the back. Both are superb, with great attentive staff and a super intriguing and diverse menu! Highly recommend!
