We decided to order small plates and starters because we were super keen to try not everything, but most things. I'm the middle of the page are pelmeni & broth - small beef and pork dumplings in broth with fried lardons and herbs. So tasty and homely, perfect warmer during winter. Top right is the side of Soviet Korean carrot - spicy carrot with corriander which added a nice crunch and feeling of healthiness to the meal 🙈 Middle right is the potato julienne side, which baked potatoes and a creamy smoked cheese sauce with gorgeous mushrooms topped with dill. Super rich and by no means healthy, but a stunning indulgence. Bottom right is Russian Salad or Olivier salad as per the menu - this dish is extremely popular across all of ex-soviet countries and apparently has even made it to Spain (who knew?!). This particular version was also made with ham, however I normally make it without! Bottom left fried Varenyky (dumplings) which were damn tasty too and remind me how I need to stop ordering everything that's deep fried or covered in cream and cheese... Last but by no means least is a baked cheesecake (nothing like what you'd get in the UK) with a stunning homemade jam which might have been some form of plum maybe?! Too good. Thanks for this Elisha 💖 Being Lithuanian, this was a very nostalgic meal, what with most food across the Soviet Union being pretty similar, especially with staples of dumplings and the Russian salad and everything being served with dill and sour cream 😋

What a hidden gem! Tucked away inside a pub, this Ukrainian restaurant serves some really great food. Was a shame to find out they will be relocating in a few weeks. Hoping they will find a suitable place to reopen. Need to revisit again before moving day.

Amazing food and fantastic, friendly service! I've eaten here twice now, once for a normal dinner and once at a large group event. Both times the service was flawless. When we came for dinner Elisha gave us lots of help and (excellent) recommendations for what to choose from the menu and everything was delicious. The group dinner was a set menu so we had already chosen, again the food was delicious and in seriously good portions. Sometimes with a set choice you get a bit stiffed on the food but we ended up stuffed instead. Can't wait to come back and try everything else.

DELICIOUS!! Amazing Ukrainian-British fusion food. Atmosphere is warm, welcoming and friendly. Great service and most of all, one of the best dinners I've had in a long time. Highly recommend the Pelmeni & Broth.. Simply amazing.

Lovely and fun family run restaurant inside a gorgeous pub in Soho. Ordered quite a few dishes - all very delicious! Love the Pelmeni and Broth as well as a few vegetarian dishes like Deruny and Salad Elishka. Staff was super friendly made the whole evening like home! Not a bad idea for group dinner or casual drinks with a few Ukrainian snacks. Strongly recommend! Will be back for more Little Kyivs and garlic oil dipping 😍

Just returned from the dinner for 5 people (4 Ukrainians and 1 American) and I had to share this experience because of controversial comments here: - Place: yes, at the moment of this review resturant shared a place with a quite busy pub, you need to know that.. 4 stars because of that. - Food: I was disappointed to hear that we will be served not a traditional food (because I didn't bother to read what they stated on their website!) but a mix of UKR/UK interpretation.. but eventually even our Ukrainian gang couldn't agree on what was tasty and what was not - it is individual thing. We have tried almost everything and it is 5 stars - Stuff: I'm not sure if it is even legal to be that nice and lovely as they were. 10 out of 5. Fast, friendly, hospitable and patient. The owner (stupid me didn't even ask her name..) treated us as if we were guests at her home.. almost a quote of how my friend expressed her impression about the service - Price: I really don't understand how someone can say that it is overpriced.. are those people dinning in this area? I was not surprised by the bill and I would leave 5 for the value. Conclusion: very nice place to visit which I would strongly recommend - interesting decisions on how they tried to experiment with Ukrainian trad food to make it more suitable for British people.. I didn't like only 1 dish out of almost everything (will tell in P.S.). The passion of the owner for what she and her husband (Maks.. my nameling) are doing is literally visible in this place since it is expressed through one of the most loveliest service I've ever experienced so far. I wish them to find a nice long term place and don't give up on what they are doing. PS. Blood sausage vareniki tasted like medicine to me (my friend ate them all.. so it is just my taste). I would suggest to think about fried or oven baked blood sausage because boiling the blood (unlike frying) doesn't give a proper fermentation for this dish.. blood itself becomes tasteless and apple doesn't do much to cover that.. just an Imho PPS. I genuinely can't understand what is wrong with 1 star reviewers here..

Great service, great food . My favourite was the Korean carrot salad, vareniki with Truffle & balsamic savoy cabbage, pelmeni and broth, vareniki with cherries and the cheesecake with home made jam. For non Eastern European the cheesecake is not what you would expect from an American cheesecake but if you are open to try something completely different , it is absolutely delicious. certainly will come back

Amazing food and service! We ordered the Borscht, Little Kyivs and Varenyky for starts, 2 meat platters for the main and a Babusya. It was all delicious and we had to order more Kyivs! Highly recommended!

Some things were good (borscht), others were underwhelming (dumpling were expensive for such a tiny portion). We weren’t impressed by desserts. Overall the menu is too short.
