A comfortable restaurant, if you have kids... It has a forest like decoration where you feel like you're eating in a rainforest. Food is fine and prices are reasonable. There is also a small shop in the upstairs.
Nice restaurant if you're going out with kids. It's decorated like if you were in a rainforest. A little bit expensive for the food quality.
The place in itself is beautiful: ponds, real rain falling randomly
, gorillas, elephants, all sorts of wild animals ( stuffed toys, but
HUGE!). The food if not bad, usual menu with hamburgers, salads, chips, only more expensive...don't expect to pay less than 20-30 pounds. So, if you have children, go...if not, save your money!
This came as a total surprise to us...we discovered it while casually strolling around!
The moment we entered the place we got really excited seeing the ambience!..it's the cutest rain forest :)
Elephants and gorillas and chirping birds..you will be transferred into a totally new world..
Food is good..presented in style and tasty..
The shop of this restaurant has amazing stuff for your little one..overall..a must visit place!
مطعم جميل وممتع انصح به
الاكل امريكي منوع والمكان جدا جميل مع طابع الغابات الاستوائية
تجربة رائعة
Fantastic place really liked it
Forest atmosphere which is fun
Food is great and dishes are well presented, worth its price
Came here on a rainy day with a coupla kids in tow. The food is ok but not cheap in my opinion for what it was. Good selection on the kids menu. Staff friendly too but the main reason I came here was for the novelty value in the surroundings for the kids. Ok from me but the kids enjoyed it a lot .
Both of us and our grandchildren found this cafe fascinated and bewildered with the atmosphere in this cafe. A myriad of tropical animatronics for them to look at. The service is pretty quick too. Totally recommend for family and children.
This is not just a rainforest themed toy shop. It is also a 4.5 star cafe! It has cool things that the kids love eg. A robotic gorilla and an an aquarium. A good place to take the children.
Fun experience. Took a very young relative there and she simply loved it!
Food was excellent for a themed place and not too pricey.
Well worth keeping on the list for harried parents at half term.
Great for the kids as always & mums/dads will enjoy it too. We'll be back again in a few months just as we did last Xmas
Hmm... It is all very nice but a bit of a tourist attraction, not to me eaten at twice!
It's a lively and lovely place but quite pricey. It's great to take your kids here as they can see the animals and all the rainforest themed environment. They created a beautiful atmosphere.
The food is overpriced but not extraordinary and it didn't make me feel like I want to come back.
Definitely one for the kids, at first sight it looks more of a toy shop, with stuffed animals everywhere, but just past the shop is a sign leading to the restaurant inside.
The restaurant itself is great fun with a jungle aesthetic, accompanied by waterfalls and animal sounds. If the toys at the entry hadn't got your kids excited, the décor definitely will.
The food is extremely child friendly, with tropical names and even a create your own pizza section. This is a great experience for any young family and will have the kids wanting to come back for more.
It was the last month that I and my family planned to visit this place. Located in an amazing area, this place happens to be really popular and is successfully running. The staff was very friendly, cooperative and very well coordinated. The decor was really exquisite and the ambiance was very inviting and exciting. The food served was really fresh and delectable. Commendable service. We are definitely visiting this place whenever we are visiting London next. Recommended strongly.
I recently tried this place and had a wonderful time here. The food was excellent, especially the prawns and chicken which were cooked to perfection. The ambience was great with a beautiful decor and pretty comfortable seating. The service was pretty efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. The drinks were pretty amazing as well. Thus, I would love to visit this place again and would recommend others to try it as well.
By far one of the best bars I have ever been to. The decor is incredibly high standard and the ambiance is very inviting and exquisite. /if you are a commercial music lover then this place would definitely get you in the groove. The food is great. The portions offered are sufficient. The food is good value for money. You must experience this place. Strongly recommended.
If you happen to be a kid or a teenager or you have just moved out of your teenhood then this is the place for you. The ambiance is really cool and very chilled out. The decor is pretty exquisite if youth is concerned. The staff happens to be really friendly and the service is very efficient. They possess an amazing collection for music. For people who are in late twenties or thirties, this place might just turn out to be really boring for you. Recommended.
I recently tried this place and had an amazing time here. The food was excellent and was cooked to perfection. The drinks were pretty good as well. The ambience was great with a comfortable seating and beautiful decor. There were plenty of options for entertainment of kids as well. Thus, this place is a great option for family outing.
This is not just a restaurant. The place offers several means of entertainment for kids and for adults. It is a perfect place to spend your weekends with the family. The food has not been compromised as the food is delicious and sumptuous. The prices are also reasonable. A fun place!
I recently tried this place and had a great time here. The food was excellent, especially the cheeseburger which was cooked to perfection. The service was pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. The ambience was pretty decent and thus, I would love to visit this place again.
For the first time I went to a theme based restaurant with a relative. The decor was beyond amazing, the concept as a whole was great and the ambiance was very cheerful and energetic. The food was excellent and the taste was very authentic. This place is very reasonable so it can surely be your getaway whenever you want to get away. Recommended.
Mediocrity at its best, this place serves for a fun and wholesome family meal. The restaurant may not be a real charmer, however the interiors sure are!
With the appetising nachos and perfectly cooked steak, this place is your best bet when you are going out with your kids.
Do give this place a shot as the overall experience will never disappoint you.
I like this place because of its tacky interiors and because of the fact that their dining room has an enormous fish tank and the whole place is decorated with the animated models of crocodiles, gorillas and even elephants.
They've also put in a lot of efforts to recreate an artificial rainfall and thunder, which is a delight to see and gives a vibrant feel to the environment.
Had a pretty good experience when i was here for a family meal.Since the place is usually busy it is advised to book in advance. The service was pretty good from pleasant waiters. The ambiance and the meal both were equally awesome and the kids too enjoyed themselves. The charges are a little on the pricier side. But the food is of great quality.I ,for sure, would be coming back!
It was my friends birthday and I suggested this place, Obviously it was his treat so I did not worry about the bill ( which was bit expensive) .
Service was very good. The ambiance was amazing which means you won't get bored while you are waiting for your meal.
This place is worth experiencing.
When I first walked into here I thought I was in a kids toy shop and almost walked out until I spotted the sign for the restaurant (the toy store is just to get kids screaming for a stuffed animal - if you're a parent then be prepared!). Before going downstairs to the main Rainforest Cafe you are greeted by a over enthusiastic staff member who notes down your name and number of people for a table. The wait wasn't too long so we were quickly taken downstairs. We were blown away by how well the rainforest theme was presented but also noticed the amount of children and parents, so we felt a bit out of place!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to take their kids out for fun meal in London, they will absolutely love it and love you for taking them! :)
Great place, great service and great atmosphere!
The thing I like about rainforest is mainly the décor, it is very rainforest-ish. As they mini waterfalls and big fish tanks and etc.
The service can be slow at times which is mainly due to how busy they get on the weekends. Great range of drinks, and great place to go with a few friends over weekend.
Great place going back for dinner tomorrow. The atmosphere is fantastic – tropical and exotic. Just feel you are in jungle. Definitely a must do in London!
This really is more of a place to go to for special occasions, like birthday parties than a casual evening dinner. No matter how tasty the food, £16 is still a bit much for a veggie burger and chips.
That being said, the cocktails are delicious, the staff are lovely and the amazing interior design does make you feel like a kid again.
I love this place! Its so much fun, even for grown ups! The decoration is amazing and even though the prices are a little high the experience is well worth it. The chocolate lava cake is to die for and so are the burgers! I really recommend this place, makes it a fun, different, magic experience.
I visited here with my family for my sister's 19th birthday. My father and sister had been to the one in LA, so they wanted to try this one as well.
We went after I finished work and so were seated at about 8pm. I was surprised at the amount of children and toddlers that were still running around at that time of night but I probably just noticed it more because I was tired from work.
It was quite busy in there but we didn't have to wait long for a table. We were seated and had our order taken fairly quickly. My father and I decided to share the mezze starter which consists of pitta bread, mozzarella and olives. We were told that they had run out of hummus but that we could substitute it with guacamole or sour cream or we could have extra olives and mozzarella. We opted for the extra food! For mains my sister and I chose the BBQ chicken, my father, the sea bass and my sister's boyfriend went for the steak. All of the food was nice and the steak was made rare just as asked.
I did feel it was fairly overpriced for what you got with starters mostly at £9.50 and most mains £15+. I would put it down to being in such a tourist-heavy area. The menu is also quite worldly and exotic but with regular choices as well.
As you enter, you fill in a card to be seated and your waiter asks if anyone has a birthday. This meant my sister ended up having to stand up in the middle of the restaurant whilst everyone sang happy birthday and she was presented with a dessert dish of whipped cream with a candle in it. It was fun, and the staff were friendly and helpful. (There were many birthdays in the restaurant that night!).
The restaurant itself is set out to be like a rainforest covered in decorative vines, trees and greenery. There are model animals everywhere, a gorilla, elephants and they move and make sounds and different intervals. Every now and then the lights flash and a lightening sound effect is played. The place is an absolute hit with children and it's fun, it just wasn't what I needed after a 12 hour shift! So if you're looking for a quiet meal, look elsewhere!
Overall it was a nice meal, the food was nice and the staff were friendly. The restaurant is cute with it's wildlife theme. I wouldn't go too often though, due to the prices for what you get. It is a nice one-off experience though, especially if you're just passing through London or have children. I'll probably take my godchildren to visit at some point as they'd love it!
It's a lovely lovely place! You step into a whole different world. As the name says Rainforest, you actually feel like you are. It's a wonderful experience.
Located close to Piccadilly Circus in the heart of London. From the store, go down the stairs to get directly to the restaurant.
The atmosphere is tropical and exotic: everything is to believe that we are in a jungle. Background music, animated animals, small bridge etc. There is a little river all around the dining area and the thunder sounds at times.
The menu offers you American cuisine with some influences, but many dishes are from the "world food" wiki-wiki wings, enchiladas, Rasta Pasta (pasta with grilled chicken and vegetables), Hawaiian Hula-Hula noodles (noodles with pineapple, mango, peppers, onions ...) but there is also an offe of sandwiches and hamburgers.
For dessert, I recommend you the Sparkling Volcano, you can not miss it.
Moreover, the staff is absolutely nice !
Went here for a leaving do with some friends, had a two year old with us. She sat for a bit but the noises scared her. The atmosphere was good, the service was good but the food was a bit pricey for what it was. Saying that, I would go again. I had the ribs which were very tasty but I would have liked more sauce on it. My friend had the steak and she said it was really good.
Food was ok...
really busy for dinner, thank God we were early (4pm), it was filling up already.
Our kids 6 and 8 loved the jungle theme with moving animals and all 🐆🦍
The reviews and photos just don’t do this place justice. First off - this isn’t the Ritz. Adjust your expectations! There are gorillas screaming during the meal, it thunders, a parrot does a walk around.
This is a restaurant for people with kids, or at least who enjoy novelty.
Our waiter was fantastic & our meal was great. The atmosphere is really good and the surroundings felt like you were not in central London.
Great fun!
Food was average but came out very quickly, but the experience was great our children loved seeing all the animals and hearing the storm. Would cone back.
I recently visited this restaurant and explored the first floor. The jungle theme decoration was impressive, and the interior was adorned with a variety of cute toy and stuffed animal dolls for sale, making it a perfect spot for kids. Overall, it's a great place to dine with family and enjoy the ambiance.
Had an amazing time! I think we had the best seat in the restaurant (animated gorilla next to us and also animated Jaguar right above us) can be quite an experience especially with the thunderstorm so make sure your child(ren) are ready for the rainforest ‘musical noises’.
The food was ok ; we liked the lamb shank the best amongst all but it was the atmosphere that livened up the place. Our lunch just came under £100 for the 4 of us.
Children had a great time and so did we!
Amazing place, I had pasta there and it was really good. They have a mascot named Carlos who comes around and you can take photos with him. Really nice atmosphere.
An absolutely lovely experience today at the Jungle cave! We took our two girls aged 8 who absolutely loved it! Our lunch was so delicious! Great and fast service, great food and great atmosphere! Will definitely be coming back!
So lovely to have such a child friendly place right in the heart of London!
George was fab and made our experience so lovely! Thank you 😊
Loved dining here with my daughter, great fun. We both enjoyed our food, very quick service too and our waiter was very attentive. We swapped a mango milkshake for another flavour as D didn't like the passion fruit our waiter quickly made up a new one no problem! Great place for kids/ families. Good location under 10min walk from M&M world, Lego store. Carnaby Street nearby also. It was £40 for two of us to eat including drinks. Kids meal is £15 for 3 course. The restaurant is downstairs under the gift shop. The toilets could do with updating , positive note there was 2 baby changing units.
Not quite how it was when known as The Rainforest Cafe, but still a lovely meal. Table was booked for 7pm, but we were seated early. Downside if table we were seated at....right at the back, tucked away in a corner, so missed the atmosphere if the restaurant. Extremely family orientated - expensive, but you're paying for the atmosphere (which we missed). Also missed the "tropical storm" that used to be simulated.
First, I didn't eat here. I only had drinks. But I enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere.
This place is definitely meant for families. Mainly kids. But it's a really interesting concept and environment. There are multiple floors of restaurant.
I'd definitely recommend getting a reservation before coming as the lineups are long.
It was simply a unique experience. Some of the food reviews here aren't great. So take that into account. But walking down the street I saw this place and it immediately drew me in as it was very strange.
If you like really strange concepts and underground restaurants, it's worth checking out!
Definitely pre-book as even with a booking it was a wait for a table. Once seated it took a while to take orders but after that food arrived almost immediately. Great advice from the server on menu choices and they sang a birthday song for my little girl.
Would definitely return, great for kids.
one of the best restaurants I've ever visited! incredible space, ideal for children and not only! its decor is incredibly beautiful! the kids went crazy! the food is also very good! all delicious and very fair!
The staff is very pleasant and professional, most of all,the place itself is great, it looks like we were in a jungle place. But, sometimes the animals sounds are a little too noisy. The jambalaya dish is very good.
Really really good. If you're reading this, you're probably considering it - it's worth it. We booked for 5pm, rang them, rearranged for 4pm, ended up getting here at like 3:30pm and they happily accommodated us a bit earlier with no issues. We came for our little one's birthday meal. Good value for the portion sizes (we had to ask for a takeaway box for our left over food). Kids had a kids meal, again, good portion sizes, and the dessert sundae was delicious (they noticed the birthday badge our kid was wearing, put a candle in the sundae and came around the table to sing happy birthday!). Atmosphere was really nice, a really cool rainforest environment, with moving animal props etc. The music and sounds of the water really helped set the mood. Our waitress/"safari guide" (Ruby) was really helpful and made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. Also, they have plenty of halal options.
Just to mention, there isn't step free access, so we had to carry a pram down a short flight of steps. They told us about this when we booked anyway, which again, is very considerate of them!
Thank you Jungle Cave!!!!
Dishes are ok, I'd say the typical American menu, complete with hot dogs and milkshakes, and done to decent quality.
Not sure about the service though. I appreciate they're quite busy and there are lots of little ones, but you can't bring out dirty cutlery and cups (one had lipstick on it...) And you also need to check in sometimes to see if anyone needs anything else.
