Good place for sensible city eats. Good variety of food ranging from pastas, roasts & sandwiches to currys, jacket potatos & cheap breakfasts. Some stuff seems murky for a place that is italian at core, but the food is generally good and filling.

Good find when I was looking for a place to eat at 7am Beans we're a bit cold, but otherwise can't knock a breakfast and hot drink for around the tenner mark. Lots of locals and regulars popping in to pick up their breakfast rolls on the way to work. Speaks volumes, tight ship, would recommend.

Positives: 1. Food is good and seemed fresh 2. Good options 3. Reasonable prices Negatives: 1. Menu layout is confusing and options available are not too clear 2. Sense of being rushed to order quickly at the busy lunch hour which becomes even more difficult due to point 1

Excellent cappuccino. Delicious bacon bap sandwich. Friendly and quick service. These old school Italian style cafes in London are rare nowadays.

I’ve enjoyed working round the corner from this place for a while. There’s some really unfair reviews on here IMHO. They work their butts off. Greet you with a smile and it’s great cafe food. Thanks guys 😘😘

Decided to leave these guys a review as I have been eating here for the past 4 years. The food is really tasty, it's honestly a place for takeaway, they do have a few tables to sit but rental space in central London is expensive so why not take your lunch outside if the weather permits? Most people ordering here are people who come frequently so they know what they want. If you want to think about your order just step aside and let the next person in line order. Everyone is in a rush at lunch time and the queue goes outside sometimes. Anyone accusing the people working there of being racist have no idea what they're talking about or what's their background. I know the guy serving so well, it was probably misunderstood banter. I always joke with him. Would 100% recommend if you're in the Liverpool St - Moorgate area and I'm so happy they survived the pandemic (not a lot of caffes did in Central London).

Dear Patrick, stop making stuff up, I was there, we had to wait a very long time for you to finish your payment and it wasn’t the first time you did that, no one was being racist to you, but you were frustrating costumers who had to go back to work that were waiting to get their lunch, you’re just looking for excuses to make yourself innocent. Editing your comment and accusing them of sticking up for their staff doesn’t suit you well. By far the best lasagna and Cottage pie in the UK I’ve ever had, they’re usually very busy place, I love going to this place for their hot food. Their sandwiches, baps and ciabattas are often made on the spot, their hot food is freshly made everyday, I love their Jacket Potatoes and Chicken pesto pasta, great chef, the manager is also sometimes the chef there, he’s a better chef then the actual chef, but good job to the actual chef. For those who are complaining what do you expect? Of course they will get eggs ready usually 5 minutes earlier because it can get ridiculously busy there, nothing wrong with it, the rent there is expensive so the prices of the food are justified, it’s LONDON, wait CENTRAL LONDON, considering the rent there, the prices are very reasonable and very good, it’s fresh food, their hot food portions are massive even a small is big, if you convert it to a large flat plate you’ll see for yourself, you’re allowed to microwave fresh cooked food as long as it’s not microwaved more then once. They don’t cook food in the microwave, that’s a lie, I know because I was given access downstairs, they just warm it up for you a bit, you can ask them not to and you can warm it up yourself later.

I liked this place, it's a family business and the food is good (tried the chicken escalope panini, which could be a bit bigger). The pasta and other dishes also look good and they have wraps and massive potatoes. They need to sort out their ordering and queue system because it's slightly mad at the moment--I was there during lunchtime and it was not too busy but still one person took my order, one handled payment, then I waited for a while. Just organise two clear queues please. Definitely space to get 5 ⭐️ with improvement.

Frequent customer. Firstly the 5 stars is for the breakfast sandwiches. Somehow despite the fact they are pre cooked and then microwave reheated they are the best in the area for a proper greasy spoon bacon roll. Secondly some people are complaining about the ordering process being chaotic but this is part of the charm of the place. It's crazy to the point of being amusing that you usually have to repeat yourself 4 or 5 times to get what you want, I look forward to the lunacy. Also have never been charged to use a card here. Awesome.
