Went here for lunch and the food was so nice. The portions are a good size and leave you full. I'd recommend the hotdogs and wraps. The loaded chips are also really tasty and flavoursome. As well as this, the service is really good and all the food arrived hot and pretty quickly. The waiter who served us was really polite too. Would definitely go back 😊.

Tinsel Town, the American-style diner nestled in the heart of London, is nothing short of a culinary gem. My recent visit to this establishment left me thoroughly impressed and eager to sing its praises. From the moment I stepped through the doors, it was clear that I was in for an exceptional dining experience.
The first thing that struck me about Tinsel Town was the overall quality and ambiance of the restaurant. It effortlessly combines the classic diner aesthetic with a touch of modern flair, creating a welcoming and nostalgic atmosphere. The retro decor, complete with vibrant neon signs and comfortable booth seating, transports diners to a bygone era of American dining.
The staff at Tinsel Town are a testament to outstanding service. From the moment I was seated, their warmth and professionalism were apparent. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of delightful. Their knowledge of the menu and recommendations added to the overall experience.
Efficiency is a hallmark of Tinsel Town's service. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the restaurant's staff managed to maintain a seamless flow of orders. My food arrived promptly, and I couldn't help but appreciate the well-oiled machine that keeps this diner running smoothly.
Now, let's talk about the real stars of the show – the food. The starters were a delightful prelude to an exquisite meal. The crispy onion rings were golden perfection, and the loaded potato skins were a flavor explosion. Each dish was generously portioned, leaving us eager for the main course.
The main course at Tinsel Town is where the diner truly shines. The burgers, in particular, are a revelation. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, they redefine the burger experience. Their extensive menu caters to all tastes, with options ranging from classic cheeseburgers to inventive vegetarian choices.
And finally, the desserts – a sweet symphony that concluded our meal on a high note. The milkshakes were thick and indulgent, while the chocolate fudge cake was a chocolate lover's dream come true.
In summary, Tinsel Town is a remarkable American-style diner that delivers on all fronts. The quality of the restaurant, the exceptional staff, the efficient service, and the mouthwatering starters, main courses, and desserts all combine to create an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a nostalgic diner enthusiast or simply in search of a fantastic meal, Tinsel Town is a must-visit destination in London.

Good place to eat at 3am when everything else is closed and you want vegan junk food like the vegan hot dog, which is the only vegan option apart from the chips, sweet potatoes and onion rings. I'd suggest to get alternative milk option for the milkshakes and at least one vegan dessert would be amazing. I forgot the name of the waiter who was serving me but he was so patient, friendly and professional! Thanks a lot as not everyone knows about customer service

Excellent food.. we had a selection of burgers and they were very nice (i couldnt help myself but tuck into mine - The Don - before even thinking about taking a photo). Juicy, tasty and full of flavour. The service and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Very nice atmosphere. And the Churros were great too.. one of the lightest and tastiest ones I had. Little hidden gem of a place and not expensive too.

Came here for dessert after a meal out elsewhere. It's an old place that's located in a basement. It could do with some updating but nevertheless it's comfortable and spacious. It was a bit warm though, you could feel the heat as soon as you got in. Service and staff were friendly and good and we were served quick. The desserts were delicious!

Impulsive trip at 9.30pm! Funky decor and attentive staff! The Hallomi fries were mouth-watering and cooked to perfection, it seemed expensive for a starter at £6 or so but when I saw the portion size and quality of the food it was reasonable! I could of added a side and eaten it as a main! The hotdogs were meaty and delicious and the homemade slaw was everything I craved! It was actually quite quiet when we went and the tables were positioned spaciously. My meal came to about £18 but there’s always deals on for example 20% for students on a Thursday and other deals throughout the week. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but it’s London!

I went there with my friend because we needed some serious sugar lifting but I was so so so disappointed!. I opted for the Ferrero Rocher sundae and she went for the chocolate brownie sundae. It promised us delicious layers of thick chocolate sauce with premium vanilla icecream and cream on top. I mean we got that, except there was barely any chocolate sauce on it, the ice cream tasted meh and there was nothing special about the sundae! I was so disappointed!!! I was hoping for something, maybe some ferrero mixed with the icecream or more chocolate sauce- just anything to spice up the sundae but nada 🙁

Located just off Oxford Street Tinsel town is really convenient for a late night snack.

Although they have a menu ranging from American, Italian, and Chinese to Asian cuisine I would only recommend this place for their milkshakes. Whatever you order you'll not be dissapoinyed with the portions. Don't bother with starters you'll just leave yourself unable to finish the mains.
I had the mega burger and despite my best efforts I was unable to finish it all. This of course sent no desert and I honestly couldn't go for a drink either as there was literally no room for anything else.
While I was stuffed by the end of my meal I wouldn't say I was satisfied. The food is voluminous and while it also tastes good it lacks an x-factor.
The atmosphere can either be down beat or lively depending on when you go and the and this fluctuation seems to affect the staff as well.

An American-esque restaurant which is open til the early hours. A few of my friends recommended this place, saying that it was the closest thing we had to an American diner. I have to admit, I was shocked as to how much the interior resembled an American diner. The atmosphere was loud and the staff were keen to make our visit a happy one.

Although the atmosphere was better than the food, I would still recommend this place just because of the ambiance. Overall, an average restaurant with a great interior and even greater milkshakes.

Tinseltown is a famous american dinner, and it lets you know that as soon as you walk in. They have pictures of their famous guests plastered throughout the restaurant walls. And even have a TV showing famous guests entering and ordering from the famous restaurant. For me the "hey look at us we are the spot because celebrities have been here" is a bit much, brash and a tad cheesy, but hey that's my personal opinion.

Now onto the food. When I go here I usually have milkshakes and waffles that have fruit and cream which are quite nice and I also get the chocolate waffle. For me Tinseltown is overrated, I have been to far better American Dinner's. I have also had burger and chips here and it was average m, nothing outstanding.

Overall this place is a good place for a decent american dinner. Are there better American dinner's out there? You bet. But I would say they excel more on the desserts and milkshakes rather than meals.

The original Tinseltown of London. I remember when I first visited here a few years ago, I was instantly amazed by the Hollywood themes American diner. I loved that is was halal as at the time there weren't many halal diners like this around (now there's loads!). The restaurant has kept up with its standards since then even now on my most recent visit I was very pleased with my experience. There is a large option of burgers, meat and desserts to choose from so you're spoilt for choice. Price is also reasonable for what you're receiving.

If it's you're birthday, let the waiter know for your chance to receive a special birthday greeting! :)

This is my second time in Tinseltown, but my first time in the on in Farringdon. My first impression of the restaurant itself was that it was quite tacky, especially when compared to the one Ealing. The tables and chairs were quite close together, making the space look and feel crowded, it almost felt as if you were sitting on one big table rather than separately.

The food in itself was nice, typical American Diner. Their selling point personally are their milkshakes which are really quite yummy. We got our starters and mains quite quickly, i have no complaints about the food. The staff were friendly and forthcoming.

I have to admit that if this was the first time id visited Tinseltown the look and feel of the place itself would have been enough to put me off coming again. I recommend going to another branch (i.e. Ealing) for a better overall experience of Tinseltown.

Don't bother. We are regulars at tinsel town, we literally eat there every two or three days, yet when we went there for my friends birthday and she found it hard to come down the stairs in her heels, not because she was drunk, but they wouldn't allow us in! This is ridiculous as they know us and surely customer loyalty should at least be rewarded with some benefit of the doubt, despite people stumbling in from fabric falling, shouting and making a mess there everyday at early times of morning. I'm disappointed with this as it was my friend's birthday and we just wanted to enjoy a hot meal.

Awful !. This weekend, I ordered a lunch take away at Tinseltown (Farringdon) as it is near my flat and I needed an hangover burger cure...the place was empty, dark and the team doesn't look very happy to be there.

I ordered a 'The Don' Chicken Burger (with sliced Swiss Cheese and a homemade Halal Beef 'Bacon' and Cheese fries.

I arrived at my flat and discovered my burger didn't look great, looking doesn't really matter but it smells very bad, like the smell of chicken which has expired since few days... I just ate a bite of it and put the rest in the bin as the chicken has a really bad taste .

Chips were worse, they taste like the kind of fries you can get in a late rubbish fish&chips/kebab place around Camden or Old street but the one from Tinseltown were worse than that as they taste like if you warmed fish&chips/kebab 's rubbish fries the day after purchase and melt some (terrible) cheese on top.

I don't understand how a restaurant can serve this kind of food !
Never again I will go to this place, I am nearly sure they don't respect some normal rules about the food as it was awful !!
Probably they gave me the rest of an order someone didn't want the night before... this is how my food taste like.
Don't go to this place.

A place that I had previously sworn never to go to, Tinseltown wasn't actually all that bad.

My main fear was that it would turn out as sleazy as people had made it out to have been. And, to be honest, it kinda was; the average age appeared to hover around the 20 year old mark, and it was quite obviously the place students go to to hang around in their mixed groups, undercover, while listening to the MTV Base playing in the background.

But it was clean and the food was pretty good too - I struggled to pick my Chicken Burger with Bacon (which was actually beef; everything in Tinseltown is halal) from the wide selection of food available, and settled for a banana milkshake for drinking. All in all it came to around a tenner which, in retrospect, seems a bit steep, but is the price to pay for something that is pretty unique for being both halal and accessible.

Thinking about it now, it's the kind of place I would have enjoyed going to when I was younger. No, not 'cos of that (like anything has changed in that respect since), but more for the need to reconcile being relatively social with being relatively religious. But that's something I (and others in the same situation) dealt with before the likes of Tinseltown existed, so it's interesting to see what role places like these will serve today.

Think Pulp Fiction, think TinselTown. Many consider it to be overrated and busy, with mediocre food. Personally, I think its hard to find a better diner in London, and if there is one I'd like to know! The food is halal which is a plus, and comes with a wide variety of choices. Many will be acquainted with the page long list of after meal shakes and desserts, perhaps choosing which one will be the most difficult of your tasks. Waitresses always serve with a smile and this is a good place to hang out with some friends.

Tinseltown is an over-rated chain of restaurants based on American diner menus and decor. The food is really nothing special - burgers tend to by dry as do the wraps. The French fries aren't as hot and fresh tasting as they could be. Their milkshakes don't even compare to true American diner milkshakes. I guess the one positive is the variety of dessert options that they have. If you want to go to a Tinseltown try another one as this one is quite a dump and just makes you feel grimy.

Loud, tacky, plastic, brash, shiny. All of these apply to Tinseltown, an american-themed bunker restaurant offering burgers, wings, chicken and the like at reasonable prices.

Although the food is quite tasty, it definitely has a processed feel about it which is slightly out of kilter with the kind of restaurants you typically get in this area. I would say it would be the kind of place kids would love to go, but for some reason it has never felt to me like the kind of place I'd want to bring kids to (maybe its the bouncers on the door late at night!).

What is lacking elsewhere is made up for by the absurd range of milkshakes they have on offer. Think of a flavour, you can have it, and my word are they good. In honesty, I think the majority of people who come here are after he milkshakes only - and I think they are doing the right thing!

There are much better, if less ridiculously brash and funny, burger joints out there. But if you walk by and feel like a milkshake, definitely give it a go!
