We used a taste card in which case it is great value. The sushi is of a decent quality. Calm atmosphere and friendly service. We had the tempura sushi and the batter was still a little floury and it could have been crispier. The salmon sashimi is nice and rich. Peace.
As the other reviews indicate, this is eco-friendly sushi shop and restaurant. But since it is conscious about sourcing the seafood, there is a high price tag that comes with this. There is always a seasonal fresh menu - so be sure not to miss it. Locals get a discount, so probably the reason I find myself there more than I ought to. You can also get the sushi delivered, or for take away. Just delicious and fresh all the way around.
Good quality sushi and a nice atmosphere in this little place. Can use Tastecard here for 50% off so a great bargain. Would have been 5/5 but some of the rolls were poorly constructed and the salmon & cream cheese rolls had an offensively minimal amount of cheese.
I wonder sometimes how much of my enjoyment of this place is because I went there on my birthday and spent it with lovely people? Mind you, the food was also lovely (my friend's Power Lunch bento looked very elegant and delicious). And the staff dealt with our very slow consumption of the meal, plus the drinking, plus the body art drawing happening during the drinking, with admirable polite and friendly cheerfulness. Decor was ok, but that wooden seating gets a bit uncomfortable on the backside after a while!
I'm very surprised to see many bad reviews. I have eaten here several times with a Tastecard so I can't really comment on the price, but the sushi is very tasty. In fact eating there tonight!
The staff were great and the food was very tasty. The spring special feta spring rolls were quite different which was nice. They seemed to put effort into making the food a little different and I appreciate that.
I feel like all these 1* reviews must be for a different place. I've eaten here a few times, and I'm happy to report that everything from the miso, sushi, ramen etc was actually rather great. I'd recommended!
