A nicely designed convention centre. It's hard to get too excited about it but it works and works well. I was there for the New Scientist Live show but so many different events are run here over the course of a year. I arrived by Elizabeth Line train @ Custom House and then it a very short walk to the centre itself. The food facilities surprised me by being a little better quality than I expected and offering a much wider selection than anticipated.
Pretty nice place. Long walks though as it's a massive place. Connected to the Elizabeth line and near the water as well.
Got decent toilets and lots of it, so no rush. The staff are polite as well.
Got maps and markings all around.
Perfect venue for events. Can handle multiple large events.
ExCel London was amazing and spacious with so many attractive Disney exhibitions, shopping malls, etc., but the car parking is a bit money-minded (I feel). It has a huge parking space and is almost fully empty. Though We have to park and pay for 24 hours. No hour(s) sessions are available. The parking fee minimum is 25 pounds. So you have to cover the cost of other empty spaces as well. I Highly recommend taking the family in a cab for a short period of roaming or shopping.
Thanks.
Attended many conferences and trainings here over the last 15 years. Yesterday, I attended the drone show and Digital Marketing show. Excellent venue for any event and well connected with transport. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels around. To be honest, one of the best venues in the world is to host a large number of attendees.
Great exhibition centre and the staff were very helpful. It was my first time at MCM Comic Con, and the venue was perfect. Parking was easy to find, and the range of food on offer was incredible. I will definitely be back for more expos at the ExCeL!
The venue itself was lovely. Lots of restaurants, ample facilities (including gender neutral ones!) easy access from the city and all the public transport that comes with it. Only one gripe with the facility itself was the absence of easy places to pop out of whatever event or thing that brought you there and do a quick phone call or video conference. More small tables in the giant central hall would be a welcome addition or even more benches along the walls.
My particular event itself was a different story (Microsoft Envision). There was plenty of good content, botched by a horrible set of logistics. The conference badge line (and subsequent second try for those who couldn’t get through the first one) was atrocious. Almost as challenging was a set of breakout rooms, half of which were up a grand central staircase that became a traffic jam between every session. With so much space at their disposal I’d have expected better.
Very nice and well organized outdoor venue for big parties, events, and music festivals.
located right next to the train station, so it makes it really convenient to travel to.
I don’t know how it’s in other events, but the event that I had intended to it was all very organized.
1st experience of Formula E in the flesh, and it didn't disappoint. A fantastic experience, I cannot believe they managed to fit this into their space. A good mix of track both indoors and out. Great access to the ExCel arena with a station directly alongside, so no excessive walking involved. There are lots of different food options at all similar prices. Would definitely come again to other events.
Absolutely loved the experience here, lots to see lots to do!
Community was bustling and very welcoming! 🥰
Lots of sections for you to visit,
Artwork, merch and memorabilia.
Panels for autographing and Photo ops.
Food courts all around.
Cosplay central.
Even stuff for kids to do! (Under 10s go free!)
Main stage for the panel of special guests they have available.
Lots of games, table top RPGs, DND, Life-size DND!!
Places to store your items, Rentable Powerbanks, places to De-stress (For anxiety or overstimulation purposes)
People that walk around and give you support and advice.
Reccomend atleast 2 days or a weekend ticket, as there is alot to look at and cover!
Can be pricey! But its comic-con what do you expect 😉
Through my experience
100% reccomend.
Went to the Disney 100th year here. Was a really nice day out. Walked around the river and then went over the bridge back to the excel centre. You can watch the planes land at city airport on the bridge.
I had the pleasure of visiting the Excel London exhibition center recently, initially drawn in by Disney's 100 Years exhibit. To my surprise, I found myself transported from the magical world of Disney to a thrilling video game convention in a matter of minutes.
The open areas of the Excel were a pleasant surprise – well-lit where needed, providing a comfortable atmosphere for exploring the exhibits. The proximity to rail and underground lines made getting there a breeze, ensuring a seamless transition between the two events.
I couldn't help but appreciate the variety of restaurants within the center, offering a range of culinary delights to satisfy any craving.
And speaking of size, well, as an American, I'm used to things being larger than life, but Excel London took it to a whole new level! It's safe to say that Excel certainly lives up to its name - it's truly excellent!
Easy to get to. Wheelchair accessible. A variety of food options inside and if you like, Costa Coffee has seating area. Venue does get very busy so a queue for food/refreshments - depending on what event/show is on as expected due to the size of ExCeL. Although venue was busy, it personally didn't feel overcrowded on day of visit.
Went there this summer for RARE London 2023, and it was spectacular! It was my first time there. Location is easy to access. Inside, there are lots of food options. We were pretty busy inside the hall, which was huge and left a lot of space for queues. The staff at the venue were all very friendly.
Had a fantastic day watching the Formula E race.
Plenty to see, plenty of food halls, and great facilities.
Our tickets suggested entering from the West entrance but everything is linked inside so just enter from any entrance (East/West).
New Scientist Live has always been a great day out for my daughter and I, and we've been coming since it first came to ExCel back in 2016 when she was only 10. Sadly, it doesn't seemed to have fully recovered since its returned after the pandemic, but still a great day out!
A great experience for anyone who loves conventions! I recommend staying in a nearby hotel so you can take breaks whenever you want.
Great spacious venue for London Comic Con, however the priority tickets were essentially as after mid day it was practically heaving inside. Very humid with little room when reached greater capacity, great atmosphere from fans and stall owners with a simple way to meet and greet celebrity guests. Access to parking could be sign posted better, we ended up parking in the hotel next to it for £25 for the day which wasn't an issue.
It's a fair bit of a walk into the venue so comfy shoes are essential, various food booths for vegan/veggie and meat selections.
