Mirch masala was a gud fud thought it didnt met the authenticated feel of indian food but one can surely go n njoy the meal of they really want to try indian food items.
This is my favourite restaurant for indian food; the chilli paneer is so tasty, I almost wished that they offered an 'all you can eat' buffet! The other dishes such as the bhajia, haka noodles, and bhel were also outstanding. I left weighing almost twice as much as when I walked in!
Had an amazing family meal there last night, the Tarka dhaal and fish curry were spot on. Best Keema nan ever! Service ain't the best , the food makes up for it. Best curry around here. 4 adults and 2 kids filled their boots for 54 quid.
Excellent food, simple surroundings. I regularly eat here and take visitors. The tables are simple, but i, and many others, come here for the fresh, delicious and great value Pakistani food.
Very quick service and I have never been disappointed eating here or at the Tooting branch. There are always several asian families eating here which is a good sign.
The food has always been cooked to perfection. The chilli bhajis, chicken tikka starter and naan breads are particular favourites.
Bring your own booze.
Vey good food really impressed however the service is a let down. I will go again but not due to service
The Indian restaurant scene is a funny old industry. After decades of faux Indian food designed in Birmingham for the British palette, we now have a boat load of restaurants promising ‘authentic Indian cuisine’. The reality is that most of these mid-level
Mirch Masala is well known all around London for its authentic Pakistani cuisine, and a name trusted by many. This branch has loads of seating available which is ideal as this place can get very busy during weekends and evenings. On all my visits the staff have been very friendly and helpful, and the food has always been great! Although the inside decor is nothing fancy, it is ideal for family meals out at an affordable price. Their take away service is also very popular in the area.
I’m just waiting here for my favourite dish, fish tikka masala, garlic naan and plain rice. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and still love it as ever. The tandoori dishes are delicious and the curries to die for. Just came back from India and Mirch Masala is so far the only restaurant that measures up! Although it’s a Pakistani cuisine :)
Wow! What an amazing restaurant. The food had a Authentic, Pakistani taste which made my mouth water with delight. I especially recommend the mixed grill, which has unique flavours leaving a memorable taste in my mouth. The staff are friendly and helpful and the place is always clean. I defiantly recommend this to all food lovers around London.
Mirch Masala has had some work done to update it and it looks lovely. We went on a week day for lunch expecting to do the buffet only to find that they no longer offer this-such a shame. So we to ordered from the menu and the food was delicious and the portion size was decent as usual. We would definitely go back.
Just came after 2 months of my holidays what I just saw was new decoration and all the changes has been made makes restaurant look very lovely. Food was perfect as it should be, we ordered lot of dishes and we was very happy with the quality of the food as it worth 5star. Recommended.
Good food at reasonable price. The menu is different to a conventional Indian so you are a little in the dark when ordering, but the food is good and in large quantities when it arrives. The onion bhaji, unusual as it comes as a mass of strands of battered onion, is totally delicious. I had a mango lassi on my last visit and it was also very good. The only downside is that it is cash only.
Been here many times, years in fact!
Was good food before the refurb as is after!
They stopped allowing you to bring booze for a few months which put us of but they've changed that and we can bring it again!
Staff pleasant, happy to help and would recommend!
This norbury branch of the mirch masala has suffered many issues over the last few years from having health inspectors almost close the place down to poor service, but now they seem to have really turned things around. We went to check it out and the place looks good, the kitchen areas look nice and clean, the toilets however are pretty filthy. The service seems to have improved greatly and the food was delicious.
I've never been to Pakistan so I don't know what their canteens look like but I guess it's a fair assessment. But what they lack in decor they make up for with their food. We had (I've forgotten the name but Lamb on the Bone), chicken masala and chicken madras. All very very good.
I read unfavorable reviews about the onion bhajis. No, they're not in ball shapes but they taste wonderful. Even more wonderful are the lamb samosas. Not greasy and very full of tasty, gently spiced meat.
The waiters were polite, helpful and attentive without being in your face.
The chairs could do with a good scrub but the tables are clean. A lick of paint and cleaner chairs would give it 5 stars from me.
New decor and after all the new changes restaurant look luxurious and beautiful.we Had an excellent meal. Service, price and food quality was first class. The manager was very friendly. We wll certainly visit again.
Just came after few months what i saw they have done some work what makes it look lovely. Lovely restaurant with lovely food had mixed grill and also some more dishes but i think what i loved was mixed grill it made my day. I will come definitely.
I've eaten here a few times and the dishes have always been great. As a restaurant though it's not particularly conducive and lacks ambience. Bit like sitting in a tv studio with all the lights up.
