I pop in from time to time with the kids for milkshakes/cake, I love their red velvet cake. But it seems there ice cream machine often breaks down and that's a terrible disappointment because that means no soft serve with my cake :( .....
While waiting for my bus, I coudn't resist to have a taste of my favorite rainbow cake. Very nice and tastes good as usual, I'm a big fan of Cakes & Shakes, nice and calm place, excellent customer service, very friendly and jovial waiters. Will pop in again soonest!

New York Cheesecake review.
Mmmmm. Love me a good cheesecake i do. Tends to be my first choice if on a menu. Better make sure its a good one!! There are some shockers and I will make them known over time!!!

Good proportion of the cream cheese to biscuit base. Personally I didn't need the ice cream on the side but that's how it comes so can't really complain. Great smooth texture and vanilla flavour on the cake and very good portion size too. Sweet but not overly so, which i like.
Seems most people come for the shakes there, and I don't blame them (who can resist a fererro milkshake) but the cakes are worth a go for sure. The other options on view looked really good too, and if not for my cheesecake addiction I may have been swayed.
Gets busy in the evenings and queues can get long, especially on a weekend, but at odd times its fairly quiet with speedy service and decent prices. Good for a quick fix for sure.
Score would be a 4.0 if the seating and tables were not shaggy/wobbly. No one likes to see the innards of a chair/sofa or spill their drinks because of wonky table legs, just saying.
Cakes and Shakes offer the best milkshakes and deserts in my opinion and are reasonably priced. Customer service is excellent and waiting time is not long. I LOVE IT
This place is amazing for those with a sweet tooth. Children will enjoy the color and the adults will adore the flavor. The atmosphere is modern and relax with a range of popular music. Would recommend to anyone.
Reese’s shake is the one to get, it’s made very thick and it’s nice and filling. I’ve also ordered cookie doughs, generous portions served with soft ice cream
The girl that served us was super friendly and helpful, an asset to the company. The prices are a bit high. We had 2 cakes with ice cream the price she said I thought was for both but it was actually each. It was nice but I don't think it was worth the price tag.
The food is amazing at this restaurant, ordered the Hot n Spicy burger meal 3 times and was never disappointed, came to my address hot and fresh. Also, I have visited the shop and was very pleased with the outstanding level of service that cakes and shakes provided.

This place has amazing customer service, alongside amazing milkshakes. I have to say everytime I enter the shop I feel very welcomed by a young man called yunus, he is one of the nicest people I have met in a dessert shop! Keep up the good work yunus you are going places. The vibes are everlasting when he is on shift.

Milkshakes was spot on with the perfect consistency and it went well with some American snacks ( cheetos flamin hot) to be precise. Highly recommend to get your sugar fix from Cakes & shakes.
I actually have to write a review because the staff was so polite excellent customer service! My 10 year old actually wanted to give a tip because how nice the man was behind the counter!
Honestly amazing staff and amazing desserts!
First time visit, the guy serving was so polite and helpful, very cheerful and just wants to be friends with every customer. Prefer this place to Creams as you feel more valued. Will be back loads more times
Stumbled into the Loughton branch wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised how tasty the ice cream was. I pointed out that the reviews were very poor but the young manager stated that he was new and the last manager didn't really look after the place. The service was excellent and the manager actually asked how the service and food was. Thanks, keep up the good work and will see you again very soon.
Really good and always buzzing. Thick creamy shakes with a range of flavours. They are open till late as well. Not as fancy as some of the newer places but it's always a great spot to pick up a shake or to chill.
Contrary to the bad reviews, I have always gone to cakes and shakes and have found their food extremely delicious! Their fudge cakes with ice cream are tasty, and the staff are always friendly and reliable. They're a bit pricey, but everything is worth it!
