I ordered sweet and sour pork balls, steamed prawn dumplings and banana fritters in syrup, I had some issues with my phone number but the restaurant was very friendly and made sure everything was okay, the delivery was fast and the delivery guy was very nice too.
As for the food everything was good, the prawn dumplings were specially tasty and the portions aren't small!
Has great food! Their rice bowls are in big portions so you're in for a treat. Great comfort food.

Their food is excellent, but one guy who answered the phone got my order wrong three times even the delivery guy was fed up re-delivering. Told the guy at Good Friend what number my meal was on the menu and still he got it wrong. Ended up with nothing to eat. Not so Good Friends after all haven't been back since.

The only way that you can guarantee that the food is of an excellent standard it is better to go there in person. Ordering by apps means that a meal is probably rushed along with everyone else's delivery orders.I have now updated my score to five stars😊
Ordered take away in store. Staff took the time to understand and customise my Szechuan Chicken dish to include a generous portion of Sichuan peppers. Very tasty! Also enjoyed the King prawn fried rice. All done in 10 minutes.
Amazing service even if they forgot my item customised, I was very surprised by the quality of attention and service by Audrey and how she served me. Working in the hospitality business I know people that are good are hard to find especially with customer care and complaints but my complaint was dealt professionally and with awareness of fault and apologetic. Thank you
Food is great, one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve had. Personal favourites: salt and pepper chicken, veg chow mein is incredible, duck with mushrooms also really good
Been ordering from Good Friend take away for many years now,I've gone to others for just a change,nowhere near as good so come back to Good friend again! Very good value for money,very good variety of food,and though I don't mind waiting they always deliver within half hour,One time we had bad thunder and lightening and pouring down and he still made it within time!
Have decent vegetarian options that are super tasty, fast takeaways and although it might be a bit difficult for take the orders, this palace is a hidden Chinese gem in Stratford. ❤️
