Reviews Voodoo Ray's Peckham

When it comes to pizza Voodoo Ray's separates itself from the masses, as it's pies are NY style. It's so good to be able to hold a big slice, at this great restaurant chain which is always good for a catch-up with friends. I've been to a few branches over the years and always appreciate the classic 90's style decor almost reminiscent of that US pizzeria seen in some movie. The ingredients on the pizza are well chosen with all slices packing a good amount of flavour, though offering balance with taste. I like how daring they can be with some of their toppings, yet all work well and I had seconds of some slices trying to relive that first slice experience! 😁

Me and a group of friends booked the private area for my 23rd birthday. There were 18 of us, but we were served delicious cocktails very quickly and had even allowed my friend to organise a birthday cake with candles. The largest pizzas are HUGE and again came to our table shortly after ordering. I’m a vegan, and the El Nino is the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. It was a great start to our night out and I’m definitely planning on coming back. Thanks Voodoo Rays! 💜

You'll definitely be voodood by the time you leave this place. My friends and I was walking down to peakham rye station and semi walked past this place,my mate stopped, turned around started to talked about how amazing pizza they have. And it was good, thinne and big slices and just enough topping without overdoing the toppings. Few selections of pizza and drinks. Inside it's spaciouse and offer live Jazz every Sunday . They have few limited seats outside in the front. They offer gluten free pizza (whole) and they don't sell this as slices. I'll definitely come back

Overall it was a great experience. The environment was simple, clean and very much gave me "New York hangout and music venue" - which is what they were going for (I presume). I absolutely loved the decor which was going for a diner ambience, but contemporary and minimalist. Definitely a lovely hangout spot and for casual dates. The pizza (their obvs main selling point) was hands down one of the best NY style pizzas I've tried so far in London. It was beautifully made, thin and floppy but with a soft yet crunchy crust. The flavour combos were also pretty well mashed and I truly enjoyed it. We ordered sides but unfortunately, they didn't have any wings available so we settled for the tenders and also had the mac & cheese. Though these were just average at best, with the mac & cheese needing more seasoning (more salt pls). Drinks were also pretty good! Rad looking bar xD I'll let it slide though because again, the focus is the pizza and environment here. I'd love to come back again during the evening or night-time. It'd be great to experience the venue when there's music and entertainment! I gave 5 because there's not really and option to give 4.5 (cos of sides, but that's so minor compared to the overall image as mentioned). I'll come back again when I'm around Peckham!!!

Absolutely love it here- a really nice vibe and the pizza is delicious! It’s great for a large group of friends (4 of you) as you can get a massive pizza and share it. They have great vegan options too and the ‘lagerita’ is the best cocktail around!

First time to dine in this restaurant , we ordered a large pizza and two sets of wings. I've never seen a massive pizza like that before. It was three of us and we still brought back take aways. Shame about the wings, we did not enjoyed them. The wings looked like the sauce was just poured over the steamed chicken rather than marinading the wings with the sauce for a much better taste. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was lively.

Got there just as it opened and they only had a couple of pizzas ready but it was a good selection nonetheless. Nice and fresh and clean. Staff were lovely.

Tasty pizzas, sizeable area to sit down, friendly staff. Think it's better than their Shoreditch branch, seems a lot better. Pizza is good, lots of choice and good size. Two slices will fill you up!

Nice atmosphere to eat out, they also have outdoor seating. You can order a whole or just slices of pizza which is a nice option. My favourite was the options of vegan pizzas and they were delicious with the vegan garlic dip

Excellent pizza it's fresh it's hot the ingredients are premium, base is fluffy and crispy, absolutely brilliant will definitely be going back. The staff serving slices need to stop being shy and shout the order numbers a little louder. 😉👌

Took a group of 5, two vegans, two veggies and a meat eater here. Pizzas were really filling and tasty. Great for people watching by the windows as well. Pic is a Queen Vegan pizza.

Great, sloppy pizza that comes as slices, standard or massive to share (or to yourself, who am I to judge?). Been here a few times and the staff and atmosphere is great. Fantastic selection of beer, a range of vegan options. Just good food. But when I say sloppy... don't wear your Sunday best!
